Thank you. you shown to remove the cable rod rom the trans shift lever before adjusting. The others said to just connect the main thing to the other thing blah blah blah.?
Dood thank you for this video I couldn't figure out how to adjust my linkage turns out I was giving when I should have been taking awesome video appreciate you my dood
We changed a 2004 gmc sierra transmission and now it wont shift into park,,… feels as if theres no tension on the shifting handle,,, it will shift into park if u do it from underneath the truck
@@Hvac_godfather the original shifting cable was almost shredded in half.. it was rubbing against the body.. where it goes underneath the rug to under truck… so we got a new shifting cable. It comes in two pieces so u gotta adjust till its correct length/tension
So what is the name of that little plastic piece you had to use a screwdriver on? I need to order one for a 2010 Silverado. But the one I find are way smaller. The Doorman 14104
If you are referring to the adjustment clip at approx. 3:00min mark, that is part of the cable assembly I do not believe that can be purchased separately. If you mean a different clip please reply with the approx time in the video.
Awesome video Bro. If these crybabies complaining about the footage can’t figure it out from what you shared there’s no help for them and they shouldn’t be working on anything in the first place 😂
On my 2000 Chevy truck I don’t have drive I only have park reverse neutral and 3,2,1 the guy said to adjust it. So if I do this and Unhook my cable like you did and put it in park and adjust it that way will it work and give me drive back ? Or is there a different way to get drive back
Seems odd to be skipping a shifter position that's mid sequence; if it were Park or 1, that would seem to me to be more plausible.....NOT AN EXPERT POSITION, MERELY A THOUGHT!
Sorry, I have been locked out of the account. I would need to know more details, Do you mean it wont shift out of 1st gear or you only have reverse? i would need to know exactly which gears you do and don't have.
A Man & His Tools Auto Repair hello I think I have this problem but not sure my truck will only drive in reverse I have no transmission leaks please help if you can thanks
A Man & His Tools Auto Repair The only gears I have is 1 2 reverse meaning i manually pull the shifter to 1 and drive manually shift to 2 Reverse works normal when I put it in D it’s like neutral revs normal but won’t move same for 3 thanks for reply my email is ljdagreat@gmail.com
I would imagine that a line pressure test will reveal that you are losing pressure to your clutches. Generally the progressive loss of gearing on automatics is a sign that a rebuild or replacement is required.
This video is exactly what I was looking for.. I was about to give up until I seen your video... Thank you so much..
Evb saying you can’t see what your doing but this was a great video I have learned enough to fix my truck 🙏🏻 best explained video on UA-cam

That should work fine provided the cable and jacket are in good shape.
