The lore actually backs this because Pyro is treated, or at least talked to, in the same way that most young children are by both engineer in the comics and miss Pauling when giving you a contract… so I mean 50/50 guardianship over the kid?
That's the canon story for me in this animation. I like making Pyro do really innocent things, with no malice, but the Mercs see them as a monster. (◕ ʜ ◕ )

Haven't seen pyro being an SFM's main character in a while. Forgot about that charming adorable personality that lies within that gas mask. Also this is the first SFM I've seen that uses the mercs' real names. It feels kind of weird but it gives it a bit of nature and realism despite TF2's usual goofy and silly mood
I really like using Pyro as a main character in my animations... since there can be anything under that mask, the possibilities for jokes are enormous! And yeah, since they are not in the battlefield, I wanted to give them a more casual approach. ;3

I love the little detail that demos second long thought refers to the Pyro as lass instead of lad. Honestly, other than engineer being kind of dumb at the end, this feels like a Valve made animation with how on point the characters are.

The 2 weeks I give myself to make animations don't stress me and if they did, I would give myself a break, there is no doubt in that... I've been through some really bad things in the past and I'm not going to repeat it again with something that truly brings me joy. (=^ω^=)
To be fair, scrumpy and whisky are the only two drinks that Demo needs to know about
I'm pretty sure he likes many other alcoholic beverages, but he cannot live without these two. :P

I'm pretty sure Demoman thought the coffee looked cute, but he couldn't drink it because he can only drink alcohol, any other supplement would poison his body.

The fact that the subtitles say this is the "Neutral Ending" implies that there is, in fact, an ending where someone drank his coffee. And I do not know wether that would be the Good or Bad ending
