- Events like this happens every time the Mercs get together to play Poker: they can speak their native languages, Soldier goes nuts and everything gets alright after some time. They don't even bother anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Small animation that I did cuz' I wanted a scuse to make the Mercs speak in their native languages. :P

I love how everyone was speaking their own language while scout is confused out of his mind on what their saying pure gold
Scout truly has no idea what they're saying, but since it appears everyone is just messing with each other, he is fine with it. ^.^

For some reason there's something special about seeing all the 9 mercs in a casual way, late night, just relaxing and doeing something random like good friends, I would watch a full series of episodes like this.
I'm sure that, when the Mercs are not exploding each other up, they gather around and have a good time. They've been working together for so long. ｡◕‿◕｡
@@Misantropico personally I love the idea that the mercenaries have “Off” days and they can interact and goof off with each other. Bonus points if they include the opposite team because more the merrier

I’d say Team Neighborhood would fit the bill, but it’s probably more insane than the matches. As in the matches at least make some sense whereas them just building a grill spirals into a nonsensical fustercluck. And both teams are the 9 same men somehow, living across from each other.
I love how Pyro without his mask is still anonymous
It was funny obscuring Pyro's face with objects. Gives the feeling that even with no mask, we still don't know who Pyro truly is. Just like you said, still anonymous. xD

Fun fact, in the french dub of the game the Spy is actually portrayed as a British man speaking french.
Oh yeah, he screams "My God" instead of "Mon Dieu" when Sniper throw Jarate at him. It's pretty funny. (ᵔᴥᵔ)

Hearing the Mercs speaking their native languages is so refreshing.
Also, i'm glad i'm not the only one with the headcanon that Pyro is Mexican.
I'm sure they speak their native languages more often outside the battleground. And yeah, Pyro has waaay too many Mexican outfits, that's probably a hint about where Pyro comes from. ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )

Honestly i heard that Pyro being Mexican idea began somewhere, because valve was thinking making him one, still when they thought about making him with a face but then they changed it. I dont really remember exactly, but i read something in 2017 about Mexican pyro being almost a canon thing.

It's nice seeing the culture's of the TF2 mercs truly being shown, whilst they all have a fun time.
They're all having a good time, so good in fact, that even Soldier didn't want / wasn't able to ruin it. (=^ω^=)

The detail that the mercenaries all speak in their native language is very nice.

I love the fact that the mercs speak their native languages using their different regional voice lines. The French dub of Spy has always been one of my favorites. Awesome animation as usual!
I gotta be honest that I've never heard the mercs voices in other languages until recently. Spy's voice in French makes him seem like a totally different character. :P
@@Misantropico Yeah, in the French version they made Spy English. I assume this is because the French don’t take kindly to stereotypes, so they went with an English accent to make him more like James Bond or something.

Soldier's clothes are actually wet when he's outside during the rain, and it looks like they're starting to dry a few scenes later. Nice touch.

I like to think Scout’s “what?” Isn’t because he can’t understand them, but because he doesn’t understand how card games work. Mainly because I like the feel good of thought “the mercs learned each other’s native languages.” To sweet to not have it be the case
It makes sense, cuz' Poker is a pretty hard game to learn. And since the Mercs are working together for many years, they probably learned one thing or another about foreign languages. :3
Bonus: Scout is technically French since his father is Spy, so he'd probably know a little bit of French at least

@@MisantropicoI forgot to add; he befriended demoman who is Scottish which, along with accepting the fact he is now in-laws with Heavy which shows that he’s willing to make a lot of exceptions on anything non-American.
@@Misantropico another thing I’d like to add. I think with all of these exceptions we see in the comics kind of gave Soldier a character development. Like while he’s still xenophobic, in some way he learned to perhaps make exceptions that even goes against his beliefs.
At least from what I’ve seen so far.

The fact that the maskless pyro looks like the kid who went insane in The Punisher season 1 (tv series 2017 ), Lewis Wilson, makes a lot of sense actually.
Their expressions are animated well. And seeing them act very casually gives one a sense of comfort. epic video brother

I like making animations like this from time to time. It's fun animating action/memes, but making them act human feels like a breath of fresh air.

This is so well-made and creative! I always love seeing characters just existing (one of the draws of fanfic), and this is an excellent example. I adore the idea of using the regional dubs for the respective characters' native languages. It's absolutely inspired, and I would never have thought of it myself. If I ever poke at SFM, I may just try my hand at it (under different scenarios, obvs). Appreciated the explanations of the hands, as I don't know squat about poker. Really enjoyed the gag of hiding unmasked Pyro's face. Fully lost it at the translation of Demo's line -- that's peak comedy, right there. Plenty of details to catch in rewatching -- the cat, the posters, the Half-Life easter egg....

@@Misantropico Look mate, other animations feel silly and original (that's not an insult) and yours are too but if i didn't know who animated these, i'd think this would be a Valve-Made animation. Heck, some videos of yours focus on the game like the drip video, where at the end it says 'Drip won't stop the F2P Demolitions Man from spawncamping' or something. It looks like you play TF2 much more than other GMOD animators.
