I have no kids and I can't say enough wonderful things I can say about my 2006 sequoia limited 4x4 with captains chairs, rear air suspension. I've driven to San Francisco, San Diego and Big Bear - no issues...I at one point was thinking of selling it but I know would end up regretting it ...so I'm keeping her until I hit 1 million miles
My dad has one with 150000 miles and was going to give it away because it need 3000$ put into it. I told him it was worth 8000 and I would take it. All he said was crazy.
I just picked up an 07 Sequoia Limited from Miramar Motorsports. Love it!!! The process was easy and they shipped it to me in Atlanta. Beginning modifications!!
I bought a 2006 Limited that came out of Sedona, AZ w/ 111k on th clock about 6 months ago and called Josh from 1st gen for an upgraded lift and wheels. I put the 255's on and love them - 33" tall and narrow. The Sequoia if is the most under rated SUV on the market. I love mine - it does it all.
Nice diy sleeping platform and storage boxes. Glad to hear the Sequoia fits the bill and does what you want in to do. Not to mention, if needed you can still fit your kiddos in it and still be comfortable. Thanks for posting!
Sweet vehicle and setup, nice how much room you have in it. I just bought a 2023 4Runner before they make the turbo changes to it. That is crazy someone trying to steal the cat while you were at church.
Bought one from them as well almost 2 years ago. Very clean and transparent with everything. I’m out in NJ and had it shipped. Mike G. Is whom I dealt with. No rust on mine.

Hey where in Az are ya? I’m up in flag. I’ve got a 05 limited sequoia that I did a build in the back as well. I’m hoping to get a very similar suspension setup here very soon.
For elk: two canyon 125 outfitter coolers. I qtr all my animals in the field (gutless method) and throw the coolers in the back. Pretty simple. For deer I just use one of those coolers.
That’s good to hear, I just put a deposit on a sequoia from Miramar. So far the experience has been great, I’m just hoping the vehicle is as nice as It shows in pictures haha
Yeah I asked for a ton of detailed pictures from them. They sent anything I asked for and other than a few minor things i was happy with the condition. Although I was more concerned about mechanical issues. Which so far there has been none.
@@BBPlasSVT Ohh nice!! It was a great experience for us. They were very accomodating and friendly. We wanted to check to see if one of their 2nd gen Sequoias would fit in our garage, we forgot our tape measure..and they provided one, and even measured it for us. We ended up buying a 5th gen 4 runner instead. The buying process was very simple. There was absolutely no pressure from anyone to buy..they let us look and take our time. It was the best car buying experience we had.
I live in Prescott I bought a really nice gray Toyota Sequoia Limited from Chino Valley Auto Sales for $6,700. I'm having Jeep Summit lifted three-and-a-half in with 35 inch tires I just paid them $15,000 yesterday to get the parts it will cost me around $22,000 7 done but they're putting all the best stuff on it and they're doing it right knew anything about Jeep Summit you know they're probably the best here in Arizona at what they do. We should meet up after I get my truck done maybe you could do a video on that I live about a five-minute walk from downtown Prescott
how has your experience to date with the vehicle from them? I have been following their site but I feel they dont go a good job keeping it updated? Good experience buying from them overall? I feel you may pay premium with them as you said but as someone who also is in AZ its tough to find this spec here clean.
So far so good. I have replaced the cv axles. The ones they installed were aftermarket and one of the boots was tearing. I ended up getting Toyota ones. I also have just upgraded the suspension with JBA UCA’s and Fox 2.5 factory coilovers. Overall though the vehicle has been running good with little problems. It is a 22yo vehicle so there are things that need to be addressed from time to time. Im actually considering purchasing a GX from them for my wife.
i have a 3rd gen 4runner imperial jade green sr5 , been looking a sequoia myself because of the engine and space. my runner is nice for myself , but i like to have more power and space if the s/o wants to tag along ....lol..
Have you done anything to fix the trunk door latch? The most frustrating thing about my 03 Sequoia is the latch doesnt work consistently. Replaced the latch handle already and it broke again. Anybody have a long term solution? Thanks
ua-cam.com/video/FrD28MXAMNY/v-deo.html This video from wasatch Moto co might help you out. I haven’t had any issues with mine yet. I know that there is a company that is making a replacement handle that is metal and not prone to breaking. But if I were to do anything it would be what wasatch moto does in this video!
Hey looking to do this exact build how does the old man emu lift work? Which parts do I need? Which lift works on the sequoia? I can’t find an exact lift for it if you know what I mean
@@dthughes4 thanks, I’m 6’ and debating between Gen 1/ or early Gen 2 sequoia for a trail rig. I had a Gen 1 tundra so would like to avoid timing belts, ball joint issues, etc but Gen 1 sequoia is imo the Goldilocks size for a rig I can sleep inside and still get to places I want
Awesome glad I could help. Just fyi…something to keep in mind if you didn’t already know. I believe the 2nd gens have an independent rear suspension. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on doing any suspension work.

The head and horns hopefully would fit as well but if it were a big elk I may have to strap it to the roof rack. That would be a good problem to have though 😁 I also have a hitch mounted cargo carrier if I needed to move a cooler out and put the head inside.

Since I purchased the sequoia with the suspension already installed, I can’t say how it compares to the stock suspension. That being said, I am very surprised how well it rides on and off road. Not stiff at all. I also own a 2nd gen Ram 1500 4x4. It has a solid front axle and stock suspension and compared to that thing the sequoia rides like a Cadillac!!
@@dthughes4 Thanks for the info! Do you know if they did anything else to the front? And is the rear stock? Love the look of your rig, trying to duplicate it on mine but trying to figure out their exact setup.
Just 2” OME springs with bilstein 5100 shocks on all four corners. Everything else is stock. I actually have spc upper control arms for the front I still need to install but want to upgrade the front coilovers before I put them in. Planning on going with the bilstein 6112’s for the front.
Wish mine was 4x. These things are great vehicles. 190 thou and very little problems. Drive axle leak, bad bearing. Toyota has this issue. Easy fix though.

Nice! Would you be willing to make a more in depth video about building the platform/drawers? Looks like exactly what I want in my sequoia
