Bud, not sure why the others watch but i just love watching a couple with a dream, doing what needs to be done to get stuff over the line with a sense of achievement, regardless of right tools or not. Keep rocking it man, you two are awesome. Ps. You dont really need to explain why you do the stuff you do.
I watch because it is entertaining but also to see you work THROUGH problems. It helps me recognize that the challenges I face with my projects also have solutions that I just may not have thought of yet.
That intro was hilarious, when I was growing up we improvise where we had to but we made it work. My daddy had a motto he went by make do, use it up and where the hell out. Sometimes she got to do a little field improvising but man you get the the job done. You learn from your mistakes using the stepping stones and they become your successes You two keep up the great work love your videos,i watch you every week.
Yay! You’re getting some help with the grunt work! Maybe you can do a time lapse from a distance with him in it, he shouldn’t be too recognizable that way, but he might be able to use it for a reference for getting a full time job in the future. Just a thought. We don’t expect perfection, just ingenuity from your videos. And I really appreciate when you show us the fails and how you resolve them, like getting a router table. It shows that an inexpensive attachment can be a game changer.
Jason you are so creative Talented, Kind, Thoughtful and give back. So happy you found a young man to build his resume and learn positive creativity from you. Thank you sor sharing this funny opening to your video
The attack was hilarious!! Now you know us by now Jason, we only critique your decisions when we have your best interests at heart..😂😅 Glad to hear you're getting a little outside help in there. Love ya'll ❤️
Glad you said the ones that were constructive with the criticism was ok because most of us just want you to be safe and not get hurt, nothing wrong with doing things with what you got, I’ve been doing that all my life, but safety always comes first! Love the editing of being attacked, great job! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
The only thing I thought about the video the other day was, yeah dude, you need a shop, and a few safety items,(glasses and ear protection).Sorry it’s just the momma in me. Glad you found you a ranch hand. Take care I enjoyed your skit, you did good 😊
Bingo!!! Your fight you had to fling the comments away was super creative!!!! Keep up the way you are- just living life the way you & Danielle want! I hope the young helper sticks around!! 💜👋🏻
I have to hand it to you two for taking on a big project. I have been watching a lot of your videos, and it's soothing to watch better than t.v. don't worry about other people opinions keep doing what you're doing, your learning, and having fun doing it. I think it's great
jason how did the moutain man build a log cabin back in the day a ax and horse and a hand drill u are doing awesome brother keep doing what u are doing and tell the wife damn peace be with u
Jason, I can help you with the tractor. I was a mechanic for 35 years. Here is what might be the issue. The arms are not working together. First, extend the arms out and measure the length on both sides. then move them in about a foot or two, and measure. g. Do the same thing with the pistons What you are looking for is binding. I believe what you will find is that the left side is pushing to the right, and the right side is trying to go straight. Although you're already done with cutting the boards you could have made cuts every inch or so as you went around the arc, and the router wouldn't have had to work as hard Just my two cents.
16:06 G’ma D here: Hey sweetie, I’m happy you got some help from that young man. I’m sure he can use a few bucks for something, like we all do! I was just hoping that you would save those 2/3 + ft. scraps to build you some flower boxes, or for other plants to grow like vegetables/herbs that you could place maybe around the sides of the deck or down on the ground around the grain bin, which would not only make it convenient for tending to, but also very decorative. I am a firm believer of not wasting resources! 🥰
Jason, I'm so darn proud of you 👏 You handled that with humorous and grace. You've said a 100xs what you did, but igits don't listen. Keep shining bright, Jason
I do like your videos. I like that you keep up on the property and fix things as they come up. Some food for thought, a router is an excellent piece of equipment for doing fine woodworking. If you wear it out on routing those two by fours you won’t have it when you need it to do the trim work inside the house for the stair railing, baseboards, the window trim and all that if you wanted to do some nice profiles. A jigsaw doesn’t cost very much at all compared to how much it cost to replace a router motor or even the router bits. Keep up the good work.
I like the videos. I like seeing what you do on your property and I watch other people on UA-cam. I also learn a lot by watching you guys. So keep the videos coming.
SO true. I have a little channel with a little following. I know lots of older people (my age) who want to do what we do, and by showing how we do it, I hope they may be inspired. 100% agree. We don’t have all the cool tools, either.
Loved this video Jason cause you are spot on! And you always get things figured out in a way that works for you! That’s how it should be! I love watching you having problems because I know I’m probably going to see you figure out how to fix it! You and Danielle got this. You’re no newby at building and fixing things! ❤❤
I was watching another homestead channel and tbey have a wood chipper. It sure did help them Alot with the cleanup on the tree they cut down. And of course the size of the trees is determined what can be cut through the chipper. Comon sense right??? 😂. You are doing an amazing job!!!
My husband was a lot like you, he had to stop sometimes and think things through, but he got it done and on a budget. We remodeled our old house, the two of us hung wall board even the ceiling. He learned by mistakes and when people said do this or that he just smiled, and we did it his way.
Great videography. This is so exciting you got help. Good job! I think it’s really going to help. Love your idea for Pickles. I hope it helps her. Keep up the great work!
Skit was hilarious! I imagine most people suggested jigsaw or bandsaw because it’s easier and the correct tool for that job. It was still hilarious watching you fight the router on those deep cuts. I thought for sure that skil router was gonna give up the ghost but it kept on ticking lol.
Jason - I love what you're doing and I don't care how you get it done. Just the fact that you're out here doing it and accomplishing your goals is enough for me. Keep on going. Love your channels!
Loved the opening. You always get it done, but it's your way, and there is nothing wrong with that. Glad you hired someone to help out. One person just can't do it all , not enough hrs in the day.. Have a blessed day!
Well intended comments i would hope. I suppose it comes naturally to many to suggest easier ways to accomplish things and the reality comes back to working with what you have. I, personally, enjoy seeing your ingenuity on projects. I wish you all the best!
So glad to know stubbs is doing better and going to be ok .. jason most of us know you are very talented and keep it real all the time and you have said your not a Professional, but you know what I have hired many, many, many contractors and they have done crappie work and I've watched you for the last 4 or 5 years and I can see that you put a lot of heart into your work and get it done and it looks amazing. Thats so cool your letting a your man make some money and help you out with the clean up and ect hope he comes around and wants to be shown on the channel in the future..
I think you’re very smart, I would let you build me a house in a New York minute!!! They r jealous!! Who ever taught you, should be proud. Your dad is good carpenter , an so is Jarred
That was a great start to the video!!! Action, I love it! You are a hard worker. You do a great job. My father did great work without the right tools. He saved a lot of money.
I'm a grandma. I don't know all of the different tools but, I do know you have the best of the best in chainsaws. I have one. Light weight and its smooth like butter.
you are working on a large project with little help a lot of your own effort and insight don't worry about what others think you live and work the way you want I enjoy your channel watch you as often as possible live the way you want, you know the best helmsmen are on shore and have more money to spend on more tools I also do a lot with few and very good tools and also make what I can and want I will continue to follow you and I will continue to enjoy you Greetings from Bert from Holland
Get the helper to build a storage shed/box for your tools with your scrap wood. Never burn scrap wood... that you bought. Worse case build on a outside wall of the well some shelves and cover with a tarp to store in 1 area and always find.
Keep up the good work! There will always be "keyboard warriors", they quite possibly only have one thing they can do and that is to be negative while they are typing. They quite possibly cannot even attempt to do what you two are doing. Thanks for taking us along! Really, be safe! J.R.
Kudos to you Jason on hiring some help. Sometimes it's hard for a man to admit when they need help. I have a hubby who is like that. It's a guy thing. But I say if you can afford it by all means help yourself out and help another young man by giving him some work! I say great move 👍 No shame in that game, it's all good! 💖 And all the hard work is definitely noticeable 💪
I mentioned bandsaw, I also said we use what we got. Ive seen a pro do much the same as you cause it was gonna be quicker than setting up with the right tool. That said, you havent done anything yet that is near as insane as some things Ive had to pull off with all the wrong tools! LOL The beginning of the video was insanely HILARIOUS! LOL Rock on, you got this.
Om my tpur last video tou both stated its a learn as you go thing..and also possibly helping others not only from mistakes b But from stuff that actually worked..you also showed how much time it takes when you have to leave to go get stuff you nwed and thats just for stuff close by thats not including further Away..they are way to sensitive and or just dont listen to hear they listen to hear what they want to turn it into....anyhow its all going great..doesnt matter what you have or dont even alot of so xalled professionals mess up big time and they dont have an excuse.. Anyhow have a great night..till next time..glad pup is doing better Reba looks great and thats a great idea doing that for pickles kinda similar to what you did for Lambeau when he got to your place..great idea😊
I like want you do on a budget it teaches everybody you don’t need to go spend money to build something hand tools built lots of great things in the world. Keep being happy together with your family

Semper Fi
I agree 👍
U do a great job always 👋👍
EXACTLY! Not everyone can afford the tools that are correct! You work with what you got! It’s called Life!
Bud, not sure why the others watch but i just love watching a couple with a dream, doing what needs to be done to get stuff over the line with a sense of achievement, regardless of right tools or not. Keep rocking it man, you two are awesome. Ps. You dont really need to explain why you do the stuff you do.

WHEN YOU WERE MAKING THE CURVED 2X6 I THOUGHT THERE WAS BETTER WAYS TO DO IT, BUT I FIGURED YOU WOULD COME UP WITH JUST WHAT YOU WANTED. GOOD JOB.
