Look up some videos on how to use snatch blocks and wire rope to connect several together and you can probably pull the stumps out with the tractor. Harbor freight sells them pretty cheap.
All the roots will still have to be dug out with a bulldozer to build a pad or u will have soft spots when the roots die in a few years and the concrete will start cracking.
Good to have friends who have tools... this was innovative... personally I would have invested the 1500 to have someone else remove the tree stumps.. and prep the foundation !!! Save your back ...
A sawsall with 12 inch Diablo carbide pruning blade works well for cutting the roots. I have done many on my property that way. Actually I was working on a decent size stump this evening until it got too dark out to continue. I dig around them, cut all the roots that I can with the sawsall, and sometimes I can simply push them over by hand. The one I'm doing now probably has a deep tap root, so I may also use a mechanical advantage on it to finish it off instead of trying to cut the tap root..
Well, I may be old, stubborn, and stupid for even attempting to take this particular stump out by hand, but after a lot of work in the heat, rain, and other elements, I cut through the last root in the pouring rain this evening. I can now most likely push it over by hand, but It's pretty big. The root ball is solid wood, almost like a large, petrified burl, and more then twice the diameter of the trunk. Since I only have garden tractors and not a full-size tractor I'm going to have to use rigging, and my truck or winch to pull it out of the hole. It was way larger under ground then the trunk diameter above ground indicated. I know some of the roots were larger then the length of my blade because I had to cut huge chunks from the top of them to reach the bottoms, but I used the same sawsall blade that I recommended for the whole tree. As soon as one of my chain saw blades touched the dirt that would have been all she wrote for them. With that sawsall blade I could jam it right down in the dirt, and it kept on cutting. Usually I can take some decent size stumps out in hours or less, but this one was a beast, and took days working an hour or 2 in the evenings. She's ready to come out now though, Thankfully!!!
If you plan to do much more of that type of digging with your pressure washer, I would suggest buying a turbo nozzle for it ( they usually spin the water jet to cut better) and as for the messiness of it, get either a new replacement toilet plunger and put over the end of wand before you connect the jet tip or simply redneck it with a pop bottle half and duct tape. Used to work on hydro vac rigs and that's basically how to get sort of close to what the use minus the psi and vac. Hope that helps man. Great videos as always though.
I've done the pressure washer thing and it's pretty messy yes but faster and easier is using a soaker hose around the tree as far as reasonable depending on tree size. Let it soak for 30 mins or more as needed then push tree over. I did this on trees up to 8 inches in diameter with no problem . I have a smaller Massey Ferguson tractor and just pushed trees with my bumper weight box and a little using box blade.
In the spring when the ground is wet I’ll take a long blade sawzall and cut around the tree. It works great in soft soil. I highly recommend getting a sawzall and not risk dulling your chainsaw.
If we don’t try our ideas of digging we ain’t know if its works or not but now we see it works I respect Jason Idea though I don’t know what your idea is just try and show the world👍🏻🆒🆗💯🇺🇸
Yeah that might work for the tree sizes you have not for the BIG Oaks, big maples, big cherry, big hickory's big sassafras big Beach tree I mean you have to have a saw that is bigger then 28" up to 32" to cut the down and a skid steer to dig out or a mini excavator. That's how we get ours out and they are rooted. I have to give you props Jason you did a good job getting them out. What works for you might not be for someone's else. Thank you sharing till next time God Bless.
If nothing else rent a stump grinder. You'd just have to cut everything down to the ground. and then stump grind. Very good idea though! I like your ideas a lot!
Hi Jason, I never thought a power washer could do that, even if it is only the smaller trees. I'm so glad you have great friends who could help you out. Stubbs looking at you, "Dad what are you doing?" To sweet💕 Thanks for all the videos today, Love you both💕💕
First off I think I would’ve just paid the $1500 for the bulldozer! It would’ve gotten all the roots and stumps out without any effort and leveled the ground out afterwards! Second, if you insist on doing it yourself then you should definitely invest in a reciprocating saw with a pruning blade on it! Then you won’t mess up your chain on your chain saw!
I wonder, depending on the size of the tree roots that are left in the ground…. If you will be battling sprouting trees coming up from the roots remaining in the ground?
An idea on how to make the curved top and bottom of the walls more easily. Get two pieces of plywood that adds up to the total thickness you want. Using a jigsaw cut the curved pieces and glue and nail them together. I would guess it would be more straight forward and easier this way. Great thinking using the power washer.
JASONSON you must love 💗 to play in mud but you got it done The Crocker way and very entertaining you Jason have done so much to SOMEDAY RANCH thanks 🙏 for the video love 💗 from Ohio Irene and god bless
Jason, make sure you do not try to burn your stumps out with the roots in tack because the fire can travel underground and start a fire elsewhere. Can’t wait to see the transformation when the bin gets moved etc.
I love your ideas!! Who doesn’t love a bonus mud bath! The clay is good for your skin. I’m still hoping for a bigger bin for your house & the one on the deck is perfect for a game room/ office. 💜😻
I hate seeing you waste all that water. You have a well...yes...it can run dry too. Living in Texas where half our lakes are 50% empty due to drought. Rent a stump grinder and YOU do the work.
Wait we thought you were going to trade your Grain bin for larger one.. did u change your mind??? You have inspired us we are watching to see how yours goes. ❤️ Lynn and Rick
Around my area folks do that all the time with old stumps. I`ve seen the local fire company come to my neighbors and take out a large cherry tree stump with their firehose with the heavy pressure. Great idea !
I love your style I thought I was the only one that wore cowboy boots while working in shorts I love it that's a good idea you come up with some good ones they're crazy but they do work though you're good
Jason I love your practicality, creative way you look at projects. Its awesome and a lot of fun for us.
Way to go Jason! Loved watching you come up with different ways to do things. 😂😂
Look up some videos on how to use snatch blocks and wire rope to connect several together and you can probably pull the stumps out with the tractor. Harbor freight sells them pretty cheap.
"you goin ta see these legs" hahaha. using a power washer is an interesting and cool idea!
FUN FUN FUN YALL👍🏻.
I had a good time watching and I was curious so very entertaining😁.
God bless y’all🙏🏻😇
Man that looks like so much fun....should have done it while it was 100°.
Its always fun playing with water and dirt!!! I love a waterhose!!!
YAY JASON !!! 🎉🎉🎉 What a nifty thrifty way to get rid of em roots...😊❤😊
Use air instead of water is much faster,,cleaner. Great root balls for cool decor.
All the roots will still have to be dug out with a bulldozer to build a pad or u will have soft spots when the roots die in a few years and the concrete will start cracking.
Ive cleared land and retired now but ive seen tap roots on some pine before 15 ft
You got one 3” tree stump out wow.
Very Helpful!!! Thank You!!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️
I enjoy watching you try out a new idea.
The dog was looking at you, like what in the heck is he doing 😂😂,spraying water at the tree 😂😂. Love watching you guys. Stay Blessed 😇🙏🙏🙏..
Daaaaang Jason, great idea!!!

God give rain while he dig with Powerwasher that mean even God give him a good idea🤣nice Job Jason👍🏻
Good to have friends who have tools... this was innovative... personally I would have invested the 1500 to have someone else remove the tree stumps.. and prep the foundation !!! Save your back ...

That's the easiest stump removal I've seen great idea
looked like fun!
I just learned something new. 👍
Thank u for all the videos today. But the will grow back if you don't get whole root system 😊
GOOD JOB THANKS FOR A GOOD LESSON 👍
Awesome job! Keep up the hard work 💪🏻
Thinking outside the box. Yay
Never thought of that but do love saving money.
Trees have what they call a tap root. That root goes straight down usually and is the strongest.

Maybe to late but I dug on either side of the tree with a smaller tractor and pushed the stumps out ,good luck
Great idea!
Hahaha. I have a backhoe attachment on my tractor. I will just dig the stumps out 😅😂😂
Congratulations.
Howdy 🤠 awesome video as always love you
If we don’t try our ideas of digging we ain’t know if its works or not but now we see it works I respect Jason Idea though I don’t know what your idea is just try and show the world👍🏻🆒🆗💯🇺🇸
Pressure washer...humpfff. 3 pounds of Tannerite and a .300 blkout= no more stumps and a great time.. 😂😅 Love ya'll ❤️
😂😂😂😂
Save money is the best way

I've used a pressure washer to help dig post holes

Got to love your mind, Mr. Crocker.
I like this dude
Use fire looks good.

All little boys love playing in the mud but you are trying so hard love watching you
By a digger for your tractor. You will need it later too
Smart idea jason thanks for the tip
Pay the money you'll have it done in one day
I wonder, depending on the size of the tree roots that are left in the ground…. If you will be battling sprouting trees coming up from the roots remaining in the ground?
Sucker trucks are big business here in Tasmania they are called non evasive digging
That was different. Bravo!
That's a super great idea Jason, and look at all the money you are saving. $1500 will sure buy y'all a lot of something.
super cool video. thank you Jason
Good idea and saving money is always nice!!
Two words: Snatch Blocks
wet vac and reciprocating saw will help get this done.
Jason l love the way your brain works 👍
Jus pay the guy the 1500 lol f all the shit
I think you need to change the title of this video to "how to ruin your chainsaw in five minutes" 😉
@jonah. Lol yeah. A Sawsall is what this job calls for
Jason you come up with best ideas, love watching your videos

Hello 👋 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You definitely don’t always do things the conventional way but you do get it done. Great mind you have. Brilliant
That’s pretty clever Jason to use the pressure washer.
Again Jason is street smart. Good thinking ❤😊❤
I've never seen it done that way ..but if it works why not! 😊
JASONSON you must love 💗 to play in mud but you got it done The Crocker way and very entertaining you Jason have done so much to SOMEDAY RANCH thanks 🙏 for the video love 💗 from Ohio Irene and god bless
someone needs to step up and sponsor you with a Mini Excavator, United Rentals or Herc
What a Genius idea to use the power washer to dig out the trees. I would have never thought about that. Jason you're one smart fella 😀
Wow Jason great idea ,

Maybe by the time you get all those roots off you could use the tractor to push it over
Time for a mini excavator
I did the same thing and then used my reciprocating saw on the roots.
Jason, You just wanted to play in the MUD, LOL That will save you a lot of Money.
I've seen that before and I think that it the best And fastest way to getter done.
❤

I love your style I thought I was the only one that wore cowboy boots while working in shorts I love it that's a good idea you come up with some good ones they're crazy but they do work though you're good
Reciprocal saw will go through dirt
Axe is perfect for the roots
JASON USE THE RED TIP, IT MIGHT EVEN CUT SOME ROOTS😊
