Literally the only proper source for 3rd gen TL's on youtube right here. For such popular cars in their day, why is the diy content around them so laughable & non-existent??
Your videos on Acura TL repairs have helped me immensely. Both my teenage daughters have 2005 and 2006 tls. Thank you for helping me keep them on the road.
Replaced the driver's side HID headlamp on a 2004TL. Removed the left front wheel, all the plastic fasters in the wheel-well liner, moved the liner down but not completely out. Removed the horn behind the headlamp assy. Really easy, just a 12-mm bolt, gives a clear view of the rear of the headlamp assy. The T-20 Torx screw was barely visible but east to remove once the driver locked into the head of the screw. This screw is the security version of a Torx with the small pin in the center. Getting a grip on the cap to rotate it was probably the most difficult thing to do. The famous bulb fastener clips are easy since they can be released individually. Also replaced the dual filament turn-signal/marker light. Rather jack up the car and remove the wheel and wheel well liner compared to removing the bumper.
Just to let you guys know, the lights he called “fog” lights are actually the DRL lights. (Daytime Running Light) that stay on during the day when your main lights are off. Actual fog lights are at the bottom of the front bumper which not all versions have them. Everything else was well done brother!
Great video! I did a light bulb replacement after acquiring an 04' Infiniti G35 coupe. Converted interior lights (glove box, trunk, doors, dome), exterior parking lights, fog light/high beam, and back up light to LED. HUGE difference in terms of look/brightness, especially with the interior lights. The old filament bulbs were way too dim. Replaced one HID low beam and one turn signal bulb to save money but mostly because they were a pain to get to at the front. Wanted to convert front and rear turn signals to LED but didn't want to clamp on resistors to correct hyper-flashing.
Thanks for making the video. For changing the turn signal on a 3rd gen TL (04’ - 08’) I was actually able to remove just the 1 plastic clip in the fender liner that is half way up the wheel and was able to pull the liner back and slide my arm in there to remove and replace the turn signal bulb. Kind of bootleg but it didn’t damage anything and was very quick and easy. An FYI in case anyone needs to change the turn signal bulb on that car. Also, I turned the wheel all the way inward, not outward.
Just picked up a 07. The blinker works, but the parking light doesn’t stay lit when the lights are on just wondering, is it two bulbs or just one that runs both?
@@Loveme6305-h2fmy mom also has an '07 with the same issue but only on the passenger side. I believe it is only 1 bulb, meaning of course the issue is far more than just the bulb itself. Not 100% on that just yet though.
Great video bruh Question my fog lights both dont turn on as well as my reverse lights i checked the bulbs and they're good what could be the problem culd you please share that with me if you know
4:37 bolt on my 05 TL would not unscrew probably due to rust, just kept spinning in place on both sides until it broke the connection to the plastic piece. Got the job done and the light is swapped, but getting a bit of an air flutter above 50mph, could that piece of the shield be flapping underneath?
great tutorial, I’m trying to replace my front turn signal but (presumably due to a past encounter with a light pole or something, judging by the cracks in the bumper) the previous owner just removed the fender liner. meaning the light bulb is seriously stuck in place with a layer of oil and dirt, and I can’t get it out no matter how hard i turn. does anyone have any tips for removing it more easily??
You won't like my tip. It is to buy an older Mercedes, which have the most logical design architecture because they were engineered to be serviced. Everything comes off & goes back on like pure art. It is the polar opposite of wrenching on these TL's, which have the design architecture conceived by a drunken chimpanzee & absolutely NOTHING comes off or goes back on elegantly. They are so poorly protected from the elements, everything gets corrosion & they leak everything from everywhere which naturally....gets everywhere. Good luck.
you didn't explain how to remove the parking light bulb. do you turn it clockwise or counter clockwise? is there a tab or any sort of clip on that one or is it as simple as just pulling the bulb out?
There is a cable you press the tab on the end to disconnect it and turn the light fixture counter clockwise to remove. Pull out the lightbullb from the fixture and swap the new one turn clockwise till it clicks into place.
Ok after you replaced the rear brake lights I needed to see how to replace the bulb for the running light on the exterior. I unplugged it and there wasn't a bulb but you just skipped over it. Mine is flashing.
Not sure if anyone will reply, but I need some of those plastic clips that hold a lot of the car together lol, I need a few for my trunk, sometimes it won’t open or close properly because the padding cover is hanging on a few
Just wondering for my tl, the trunk sometimes sticks when I press the electronic release button, is there a way to fix this? It opens fine, just sometimes doesnt pop open, and when it does open, it barely pops open.
I hate TL when we have to do all these as my lights were out.very poor design for ex cigarette lighter It's so hard to insert remove adapter. Also those perforated seats. They would be ripped off in few years. I was around junk yardage to get decent seats. Probably looked in 50 cars and each and everyone of em have ripped seats. No more acura in my family. Good luck ..

This is honestly a great tutorial! Will come in useful for when one of the lights go out.

Thank you. Yes, the manual calls them DRL, however, I can switch them off from the stalk. Appreciate the feedback!
I was thinking that. And also when I look for led bulbs they say fog and drl. So they use the same bulb?
04-06 they are in fact the fog lights, 07-08 they put the fog lights lower into the front bumper and those old lights then became DRL's
My drls and high beams r the same bulb hb3/9005. I have a 2010 rl, my drls are on at all times, I can't manually turn mine off? Anyone know different?
Great video thanks. 3rd gen. TLs are keepers.
Very helpful video. Didnt know so much had to be done. Just need to replace the light in my rear glass. Thanks so much.

Very cool. I like the LED units, too. Enjoy your G35!
Dude huge thanks for showing all those bulbs. I gotta do the PS turn signal and side panel light!!

Great suggestion, This worked well for me. I also jacked up thr front a bit on each side to get easier access while reaching through.

Can you do a video on the interiors lights

Very good video very thorough... just wish I had the patience to do it myself
Awesome!
Great job

did your parking lights go as well
Thank you!
VERY instructive video!! Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you know where I can get the rear side markers?
Thanks , I Dred doing this .but doesn’t look too bad.
It’s an absurd amount of work for simple bulb replacement. Love my TL, but a bulb change is a pita
Clean car. Love it
What about the rear led brake light unit. Firstly tho thank you very much for the detailed video I appreciate it!!!
Hell Yeah!!! It helps out... Good video...
Glad to help.
Does this work on the 2006 Accord too?
Ok after you replaced the rear brake lights I needed to see how to replace the bulb for the running light on the exterior. I unplugged it and there wasn't a bulb but you just skipped over it. Mine is flashing.
Very informative video. Thank you so much for posting this!
Happy to help.
Very helpful Video. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

and theres 2 side markers are they the same ?
How about test drive video of the repairs you made to it.
Thank you for watching! I appreciate that. Yes, that is coming.
What about the mirror turn signals?
Great video!
Thank you.

Owesome!! Thanks💪✌️
Happy to help.
Not sure if anyone will reply, but I need some of those plastic clips that hold a lot of the car together lol, I need a few for my trunk, sometimes it won’t open or close properly because the padding cover is hanging on a few
Thanks for you help
why do my tail lights not work but brake lights do n turning signals someone plz help?!!
So does the HID ballast control both the low beam and high beam bulb? It’s a 2004 Acura TL
Just wondering for my tl, the trunk sometimes sticks when I press the electronic release button, is there a way to fix this? It opens fine, just sometimes doesnt pop open, and when it does open, it barely pops open.
Mine sticks as well. It seems to happen more profoundly in humid weather.
I’m gonna put LED LIGHTS everywhere in my Acura tomorrow
isn't there a DRL mod or something
Ridiculous amount of labor for a stinkin bulb..🙄
Ok
Madddddd work lol
The first light is not a fog light.
I hate TL when we have to do all these as my lights were out.very poor design for ex cigarette lighter

You dont have fog lights on your car.
Those are running lights.
Fog lights are the little lights that are in the bumpers.
Not the drl's lol
These reverse lights....gaaawwwwd awful
Ur car don't have fog lights budy what your calling fog loghts that's the hight beam push forward the turn signal go outside see for ur self
