I had a magical moment at a Broken show. I was mid-way in the pit when Almost Crimes started playing. The pit split, and I WALKED right to center stage front. Magic show magic moment.
Interesting list. Like any list and perhaps indie in particular, it all has to do with your coming of age and how old you are. You hit a few I might consider for sure and I completely agree, new indie bands have no problem appealing to the masses or using more commercial textures and sound. For me indie rock had more to do with being underground and a bit weird. But at times with melodic hooks. Nice to see Pinback, haven't listened to that record in long time. Love Blue Screen Life. One thing Building Nothing is technically a comp but I guess who cares. It is amazing. I don't see how you can have an indie rick list without Pavement or Sonic Youth but I get it, your perspective. Nice work!
Yeah thanks for watching! Yes for sure I understand what you are saying. Pavement is up there for sure maybe in my Top 25 and I see Sonic Youth more of a noise rock but they do have those indie rock elements. I know! I just found out about that modest noise comp when I put this video up and thought it was an album but it sounds like an album… I guess ‘this is long drive’ is my top MM album lol. What other indie rock albums do you like?
Good video sir.. you have a good flow and don’t keep to long on the subject but keep on going.. but one criticism if it’s okay to say.. please make a text beside the album.. even if there is a title on the cover please do so.. it’s just making it easier for us out here if we want to invest time on what you recommend.. but else keep on the good work and take care…😊

Love building nothing out of something. And glad Built to spill was on here too, although Perfect from now on is my pick. Also love broken social scene , I’ve seen them and built to spill at the same venue.
Yes all of built to spill albums in the 90s and early 2000s are great!!! That’s awesome and yeah they are great watching live

That Women album is bone chilling…. I thought about the album but I see it on the post-punk experimental but that just imo. Good album I love for sure. Omg I love Cloud Nothing 2 albums (attack on memory and Here and nowhere else). Thanks for sharing you list!

Funeral was defiantly in the top 15 and Beach House is consider Dream pop I guess. lol Teen Dream is definitely in my top saddest albums tho… maybe I’ll make a video on that.
