I need this. The art design is sometimes what people overlook when comparing graphics in games. There are many great looking video games but the art 'style' of souls games are always stunning and carefully developed. So much detail and creativity on show, in terms of the world, NPC's and enemies. True art.
@@Ashiya23 I've ordered both on amazon (uk). Apparently in English, so says the description. But if not it's not an issue. I recently purchased the Elden Ring Official Strategy Guide, Vol. 1 and it's a really well produced book, Vol. 2 will be released soon. Elden Ring is just a stunning game.
Indeed lol it blows my mind that humans thought of all of this in the span of time that they did. They deserve all the praise for this game and everything else they’ve given us.
@@titifafa I dont deny the arts, souls 'art are realy nice, thats what i found weird, to me the way those books are set up kinda dont honor them Still thanks for the showcase
Hello ! I've been waiting for someone to show the artbooks ! Can't wait for their release in english to pick them, I dont have enough words to describe how amazing is the art in this games. Also may I ask for the name of the soundtrack you are using in the background? Feels peaceful = ) Thanks a lot for updating the video !
I bought both books. Everything looks tremendous. But what is disturbing is that there is no unity in the compositions where two pictures fit on one page. Because of the split in the middle of the page. Does Kadokawa give these digital versions to physical book buyers?
Yes, here are the contents : Vol 1 : - Gallery : Illustrations - Concept Art : The Lands Between - Character : Tarnished and Others Vol 2 : - Adversary : Bosses and Enemies - Weapon : Great Armaments - Inventory : Item Icons and Others
Can I ask, do you think it’s worth it getting these now? I can get the Japanese ones from abroad for about an extra £20 but it’s Japanese but I can see there isn’t really any text. I just don’t want to have to wait until July and still then pay £50 on Amazon…..if they have stock even then. Worth getting the Japanese version?
Hello, yes I think it’s worth it to buy them in Japanese. Indeed they are not very expensive and in artbooks there is not much text. However these are soft covers, maybe the English versions will have hard covers.
I preordered the english versions of both volumes before seeing this and it looks... very underwhelming. I'm not sure why it would take so long to release though if it's just translating what very little words there are. I hope that the layout is changed or the book is more descriptive because I don't really want to refund them.
@@SpektronPS To be honest, I refunded after reading that it contains the same exact content as in the japanese versions. I think it's an example of a poorly executed art book and I was holding onto hope that it would be at least a little different in the english version but I definitely gotta look more into stuff before buying it lol
yeah, july 2023. but the english version will release in hardcover so it'll be more expensive (japanese vol1 and vol2 costs 60usd while english vol1 and vol2 costs 120usd)

you can get them now off playasia, if you don't mind them in japanese

Elden Ring is just a stunning game.
They won for best art direction and I can see why, almost everything (And more!) made it into the game.
The art direction is on a whole other level.
Agreed, the art direction is awesome.

I think the artbook should come in the shape of a canvas not a regular book cause it ruiend the whole pieces
i love the covers for the japanese versions more than the english version. but i wonder what the difference is since there's no text anyway lol!
oh i realy dont like that they cut arts by making them on 2 pages, also dont like that there is a lots of white space on it, feels weirdly composed
Yes I agree with you, but they are still beautiful books I think 😉

Thanks for sharing 😀 nice video

I don't think that Kadokawa give digital versions to physical book buyers... I have no information about this.
Disappointed that there's hardly any text. Will be waiting for the lore book instead.
Yes, I would also be interested in a lore book.
is a lore book confirmed?
@@vintagesalsa19 Not yet...
Is there a difference between the first vol and second? Like does the first show more landscape and the second more character design?
Yes, here are the contents :

- Concept Art : The Lands Between
- Character : Tarnished and Others
Vol 2 :
- Adversary : Bosses and Enemies
- Weapon : Great Armaments

Do you happen to know if the basilisks (death blight toads) are featured in these?
No, strangely the basiliks are not represented in this artbook.
Do you know when will be released The Box hardcover?
The Ebten Box ? I know someone who has already received it.

I lot of white spaces! It is not the same quality as the Dark Souls Art Books
That is true, too many empty spaces ; but a total of 816 pages, just for one game.
Thats because they worked in 3:2 aspect ratio mostly. Especially environment arts.
Will they be releasing these in English?
Surely there will be an English version but I don't know when...
