I really wish publishers would make more stuff like this and release it to the public. Most collectors edition feel cheap but this press kit seemed like really high quality.

@@raym3239 absolutely true! earlier I was actually skimming Etsy and came across some dope katanas. they look better than the Elden Ring sword shown here, as the inner 40% of some of the blades have intricate paisley/fractal designs (similar to Malenia’s gold design on her super long blade in this collector’s edition).
It's a basic, stainless steel blade with some words etched into it, I hate to be negative, but you can get like 5 of them at a pawn shop and have it laser etched yourself lmao.
@@BespokeSlipp Some are just show pieces but depending on the material (and the brand, though often that is obscure) they can be actually usable for cutting practice/recreational sport. If you're interested in having a usable one that'll last a while, I recommend looking at Skallagrim's videos on sword buying! Otherwise, just go with whatever you think looks good to you! Can't go wrong with a pretty looking display piece!

This is the best unboxing video I've seen, the audio/video quality is top notch! Loved when you showed the "extremely rare" press release kit, pointed at the "fragile" label and produced an axe 😂 These are amazing quality items, even the figure in the collectors edition is gorgeous, the way the box unfolds and can be used to display it is a really nice touch.
I can tell that the sword parts are mass produced in Czech Republic workshop. Not sure about the blade steel, turn pointing the blade upward, hold the sword properly and with your off hand, smack the pommel as hard as you can, if the blade vibrate well, it mean that it is a proper tempered steel. It will function as real sword once you sharpen it.

Even the fluff merch of Elden Ring is absurdly high quality. The figure alone looks worth the cost of the Collector's Edition and even comes with a perfect diorama display in its box! Jesus, maybe Namco DID know this game was gonna print money, their margins on this stuff must be razor thin... AND they put a display sword in the press kit?!
I got the collectors edition and whilst it’s good quality it’s imo not really worth the £200 it costs. This is purely because the sekiro collectors edition whilst slightly smaller cost £100 and is just as good quality it’s just about an inch or so smaller. So tbh I don’t think it’s worth the cost but it seems it’s par for the course lately as nearly all collector editions I’ve seen have been much higher priced than they used to be but the merch is not really any better, some of it is worse. Look at the new borderlands/Wonderlands collectors edition £170 for a cardboard cut out castle, a plushie and some pins and cards etc that’s ridiculously overpriced lol.
I hate to burst your bubble, but while this is a cool little collectors kit (and very valuable because of what fans would pay for it), it's not high quality. All this stuff probably cost them about $30 to make in total.

Don't know what press kits normally look like but this one is incredible. From did an amazing job putting together something to represent this game, I mean how many other kits come with a sword ffs? 11/10

Looks like a stainless steel display sword, probably has a rat-tail tang in the handle so no probably wouldn't kill anybody, would probably snap at the hilt if swung at anything.
Elden ring is already my favorite game of all time, it felt so amazing to explore in the world and see all of the cool attention to detail and secrets.
@@mquezda6256 souls games are all great, but don’t play dark souls 2 first. The best one to start is probably demons souls but elden ring is a good one too.
As someone who loved Skyrim in my teens and now no longer owns a console this video has just immediately reignited my desire to get one and play this!!
I got one of the collector's editions, although the universe was doing everything in it's power to keep me from getting one. I persevered though and am very thankful I got one. Now the press kit on the other hand.... daaaaaamn. They should have made more of those. That was amazing.

For some reason we don't even have the collector's edition in south east asia. I've directly asked game shops and suppliers, no one has any clue that it even exist. One shop even had to resort to importing a few units they could get and selling them at a 50% mark up price. The only official way to get it was preordering through Bandai Namco Asia website but it was 'sold out' the minute preorder opened. Couldn't find anyone online from here that actually has one.

@@SuperMonshine The problem now was that no one could get their hands on one, not even the game shops and suppliers themselves were provided any units. All my contacts had no answer about the CE availability here since they were kept in the dark from Sony/Bandai Namco. It happened before with Dark Souls 3 and at that time Bandai Namco Asia website doesn't exist i believed. I had to bring it back from the UK when I was living there. Sekiro didn't have this problem when it was published by Activision. Anyway, i tried my best but no luck at all, not even the scalped import from the one shop that managed to get a few units from overseas scalper market.
It’s some of my biggest issues with press kits. Like, yeah, sure, cool… it’s for the PRESS to show a game off for 10minutes But… what about the guys that invest time, energy, money and space into your IP? The one that bugs me is the ACValhalla Axe. I can never get that ace, but have the full replica of every weapon they’ve released besides that.
im not saying its bad or less than good, but for "40 ever made" I kinda would expect batter quality in the hilt. the wood is very good, and the statue is medium (at the very least) quality. like you can still see the creases and mold folds :/ . Still very cool tho

@@Real_SkyRipper You're totally free to believe that way, but the game is made the way it is intentionally. Honestly, if you miss 50% of the game, it's your own fault for not exploring. The fact that the game doesn't hold your hand and tell you where exactly to go just makes exploration THAT much more rewarding. Quite frankly, if you've ever played a soulsborne game before, you'd know that your not going to get everything right on the first playthrough, and I love that. The more time I'm allowed to play a game and explore its rich secrets, the better.
@@cephquepheas it's obviously my opinion but i don't like this aspect of the game, to me it's stupid, is like putting someone on a ship and give them no map or guidance then tell them exploring the ocean is the fun part XD, getting lost and having no sense of where to go is not fun for me.
I mean, the difference here is that the ocean is baren, whereas in Elden Ring there is a world full of dungeons, puzzles, and World bosses, and the game does point you in the direction of the main story via the points of grace, and the merchants scattered around the world sell information regarding points of interest. Like I said, it's 110% okay for you, and anyone else, to not appreciate the freedom that Elden Ring provides, but to say the Questing/progression is garbage is objectively incorrect when it accomplishes everything it was made to do.
I put this video on and within 5 minutes I fell asleep without needing to take my medication or anything lol this guy really is the ultimate relaxing end

Really enjoy watching your videos it is soothing relaxing and calming especially the sounds of how crisp the boxes are when you unwrapped then and reveal the contents of the items you get! but i really do wished that i can and would be able to get one of the collectors items you unbox but sadly i am sure that i wouldnt be able to at all lots of things going on irl ..... These are amazing quality items, even the figure in the collectors edition is gorgeous, the way the box unfolds and can be used to display it is a really nice touch.

I can tell that the sword parts are mass produced in Czech Republic workshop.
Not sure about the blade steel, turn pointing the blade upward, hold the sword properly and with your off hand, smack the pommel as hard as you can, if the blade vibrate well, it mean that it is a proper tempered steel. It will function as real sword once you sharpen it.

Even the fluff merch of Elden Ring is absurdly high quality. The figure alone looks worth the cost of the Collector's Edition and even comes with a perfect diorama display in its box! Jesus, maybe Namco DID know this game was gonna print money, their margins on this stuff must be razor thin... AND they put a display sword in the press kit?!
I got the collectors edition and whilst it’s good quality it’s imo not really worth the £200 it costs. This is purely because the sekiro collectors edition whilst slightly smaller cost £100 and is just as good quality it’s just about an inch or so smaller. So tbh I don’t think it’s worth the cost but it seems it’s par for the course lately as nearly all collector editions I’ve seen have been much higher priced than they used to be but the merch is not really any better, some of it is worse. Look at the new borderlands/Wonderlands collectors edition £170 for a cardboard cut out castle, a plushie and some pins and cards etc that’s ridiculously overpriced lol.

I hate to burst your bubble, but while this is a cool little collectors kit (and very valuable because of what fans would pay for it), it's not high quality. All this stuff probably cost them about $30 to make in total.

Looks like a stainless steel display sword, probably has a rat-tail tang in the handle so no probably wouldn't kill anybody, would probably snap at the hilt if swung at anything.

Elden ring is already my favorite game of all time, it felt so amazing to explore in the world and see all of the cool attention to detail and secrets.

@@mquezda6256 souls games are all great, but don’t play dark souls 2 first. The best one to start is probably demons souls but elden ring is a good one too.

I got one of the collector's editions, although the universe was doing everything in it's power to keep me from getting one. I persevered though and am very thankful I got one. Now the press kit on the other hand.... daaaaaamn. They should have made more of those. That was amazing.

For some reason we don't even have the collector's edition in south east asia. I've directly asked game shops and suppliers, no one has any clue that it even exist. One shop even had to resort to importing a few units they could get and selling them at a 50% mark up price. The only official way to get it was preordering through Bandai Namco Asia website but it was 'sold out' the minute preorder opened. Couldn't find anyone online from here that actually has one.
@@hukesama8389 i like when collectors editions are limited in quantity that's One reason the are called collectors....but i get a felling they didn't release in shops in Asia because they made it available in Bandai website.Even in Europe they were very limited in shops.
@@SuperMonshine The problem now was that no one could get their hands on one, not even the game shops and suppliers themselves were provided any units. All my contacts had no answer about the CE availability here since they were kept in the dark from Sony/Bandai Namco.
It happened before with Dark Souls 3 and at that time Bandai Namco Asia website doesn't exist i believed. I had to bring it back from the UK when I was living there.
Sekiro didn't have this problem when it was published by Activision.
Anyway, i tried my best but no luck at all, not even the scalped import from the one shop that managed to get a few units from overseas scalper market.

Like, yeah, sure, cool… it’s for the PRESS to show a game off for 10minutes
But… what about the guys that invest time, energy, money and space into your IP?
The one that bugs me is the ACValhalla Axe. I can never get that ace, but have the full replica of every weapon they’ve released besides that.

im not saying its bad or less than good, but for "40 ever made" I kinda would expect batter quality in the hilt. the wood is very good, and the statue is medium (at the very least) quality. like you can still see the creases and mold folds :/ . Still very cool tho

My game of the year WAS going to be Horizon: Forbidden West, but Elden Ring has me thinking otherwise. It's damn near perfect as far as I'm concerned. Amazing Unboxing BTW!
nah the questing and progression is garbage, you can basically just "end" the game by accident and miss easily 50% of the game.
@@Real_SkyRipper You're totally free to believe that way, but the game is made the way it is intentionally. Honestly, if you miss 50% of the game, it's your own fault for not exploring. The fact that the game doesn't hold your hand and tell you where exactly to go just makes exploration THAT much more rewarding. Quite frankly, if you've ever played a soulsborne game before, you'd know that your not going to get everything right on the first playthrough, and I love that. The more time I'm allowed to play a game and explore its rich secrets, the better.
@@cephquepheas it's obviously my opinion but i don't like this aspect of the game, to me it's stupid, is like putting someone on a ship and give them no map or guidance then tell them exploring the ocean is the fun part XD, getting lost and having no sense of where to go is not fun for me.
I mean, the difference here is that the ocean is baren, whereas in Elden Ring there is a world full of dungeons, puzzles, and World bosses, and the game does point you in the direction of the main story via the points of grace, and the merchants scattered around the world sell information regarding points of interest.
Like I said, it's 110% okay for you, and anyone else, to not appreciate the freedom that Elden Ring provides, but to say the Questing/progression is garbage is objectively incorrect when it accomplishes everything it was made to do.
This game is pure art, pure insane... amazing!

This was a dang treat to see from start to end, although it made me sad that I can't get any of that awesome stuff.
Really enjoy watching your videos it is soothing relaxing and calming especially the sounds of how crisp the boxes are when you unwrapped then and reveal the contents of the items you get! but i really do wished that i can and would be able to get one of the collectors items you unbox but sadly i am sure that i wouldnt be able to at all lots of things going on irl ..... But thank you for your videos its always exciting to watch someone else unbox some cool and amazing things that many others cant afford or even buy them selves but i am pretty sure there are lots of individuals such as myself that enjoy watching your content.
