Adults and kids alike do it here. It’s pretty common to see at least one person do this. Even if you’re in a school uniform, and people may judge, a lot of people like it. That’s kinda why Burger King came up with the idea to put ice cream and fries as a menu item here for some time.

I've watched this video so many times and I love it! I have never been to Chicago, I'd never even heard of Portillo's before watching this, I couldn't even have the cake shake if I went there because I have food allergies and I know this would make me sick. Still, I really enjoy seeing the process of how they make the cake and the cake shake!

I went to chicago for vacation and I gotta admit, the shake is very tasty. Although the calories is really high but it’s worth the treat.
I love how the girl explained that whole bit about how Portillo's would put leftover cake in a shake so as not to waste it, like this was some special idea that Portillo's thought of themselves. Cake shakes existed a very long time before anyone at Portillo's thought of them lol I remember seeing cake shakes on a class trip to Washington, D.C. when I was in the eighth grade.

I had the privilege of going to their Buena Park CA branch earlier this year, since I was busier falling for the tourist traps during my visit in Chicago five years ago.
Cake shake was as advertised. My go-tos are two Maxwell Street Polish meal and a side shake and a chocolate cake.
The cake shake is an experience. Whenever my mom and I would go to to Portillo’s as a child, that thing would knock me out for the rest of the day. I haven’t had it in a while, but I imagine it’d still have the same effect.

Furthermore, there are people who are physically fit that are diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2 or a combination (I, personally, did aerobics 6x a week and ran 4 miles at a time when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes). For example, they think there is a possible link between vaccinations that utilize human genetic cell lines and auto immune diseases like T1 Diabetes. The strongest factor in T2 diabetes is genetic predisposition to insulin resistance. None of these are caused by, or even correlate to, eating too much sugar.

Mayonnaise is actually used regularly in cakes and doesn’t affect the taste in anyway. My grand mother makes chocolate cakes using beetroot instead of eggs and they’re amazing! Can’t even taste a smidgen on beetroot

I had a piece key lime pie in a shake before :) Hehe and then a piece of pie to go with the shake. It was amazing!
when I went to order the cake shake, there were only two sizes. Small and Large, I said I wanted medium and the woman replied ' we dont have a medium, you can get a small, out small is as big as a medium' then I remembered which country Im in right now. Tastes amazing. The cake is very fluffy, moist and melts in your mouth. It would be better if they put a bit less of that icing or atleast put less sugar in the icing
