- Will this 1929 Model A run after being abandoned for 75+ years. This car was either used as a doodlebug or as a power unit for a generator or maybe a water pump years ago at one point it was a two door coupe.
Will it run after 30 years
Will it run
Will it run after 50 years
Will it run after 81 years
Will it run after 60 years
Will it run after 53 years
One of the rare channels I immediate thumbs up new videos before watching.
Same!!!!!
HaHa... 👍
Same here
👍👍
I did it before the 2 minute mark

My late grandfather build three tractors from junk car and truck parts in 1942. Some the first two & kept & used the third for the next 40 years. Model A/AA/TT on an Oakland (Pontiac) frame and a Twin Cities Tractor cast Iron radiator. Not a doodlebug - purpose built. I like your efforts they remind me of good times
If I took a shot every time he said "old girl" or "bad boy" in these videos, I'd never make it to the end of one 😂
🍻
Or "good old"
Watch it on a Friday.
But you be capable of speaking left handed Swahili! 😂🤣
You do a double every time there's a vocal inflection 😁
Can't get enough of this show
I had enough before the 3-minute mark.
"A little fire never hurt anybody" 😄 ......Awesome job getting this old girl running! 👍
NEXT WEEK: No axles, no body, no engine..... Will it run?? God I love this channel!! He takes out the distributor with a crowbar, puts it back in with a sledgehammer, and the darn engine ran!!🤣🤣
one day jennings will end a video with "she runs pretty good for not having a cylinder head"
@@AiOinc1 🤣🤣
In Chicago they call that particular version of a crowbar a ‘Hill Billy Bar.” I wonder why.
those were built right ngl to take so much abuse and just go on about it brush off some dust and they run
I'm not even sure this Model A would even qualify as lawn art but I love his videos!
The car necromancer is back at it again!
This time he has been lucky and found himself the upper body of a fighting spirit, and woken it up from its slumber with ease. as always
love your videos man, hope to see some more 60s and 70s finds in the near future
Car Necromancer. Nice 👍🏻
@@gsdfan8455 New word! Had to google it. tnx bc
Longer is great. Like many, one of the very few channels that I look forward to every time!
You are without a shadow of a doubt one of the most entertaining people on this web. I look forward to your latest video and project and I agree with the others, LONGER is better.
Cheers from an old VW mechanic in Canada North
I'm super unknowledgable about cars and car work, but I love to sit and watch you work on these old cars. I envy the workability of these crazy old cars.
Love the videos! Please do make them longer..it’s a joy to watch you bring those old vehicles back from the dead. Thank you! 👍
Also please have a fire extinguisher near by,and a tool cart so you don’t have to keep chasing your tools and parts.
That car was originally a four door town sedan you can tell by the cowl has a moulding similar to a 30 31. If it had a coupe pillar could be a coupe Tudor or a pickup can. All model a frames are the same with the exception of aa trucks which are longe and heavier. There are many small different of the four years of production. Enjoyed the video
If it had chickens in it, it would be a coop.
Sounds like you know what you’re talking about. It amazes me what some people know about Ford products from the ‘30’s. But, hey, it was America’s car, wasn’t it?
Your calm and collected, methodical approach to these old machines is what keeps me coming back for more. Love the videos, and yes, in this case more is good. Liking the newer longer format.
"We've got 3 cylinders, and hasn't run in 3/4 of a century. She'll be a runner!" I look forward to every episode.

I loved this vehicle. Good to hear it put-putting again.
Well l ll be, one of my favorite channels. Just love how you work your magic on these old classics. Alabama is a huge fan.
I concur, Tuscaloosa checking in.
Huge fan in the UK. Clever people doing clever things competently. Awesome effort.
Another huge fan here from the UK just love this channel but here in the UK a doodlebug is a ww2 flying bomb so not sure what you guys mean in the good old US of A❤
@@marciabaldwin2506 From a Hemmings article: "The term “doodlebug” has a specific vehicular connotation in Maine, referring to a passenger car or light truck that’s been chopped and stripped into a homemade farm tractor, often with aggressive tires, just the ticket for churning along snowy lanes through the pines."
@@macinfloydvolk Fellow T-Town resident? Hell yeah
I love watching these super old cars and trucks run again. Wish i could afford to get my old Fury in my yard running again.
Love your videos.I am 68 years old an I rember some these old ones sitting garages of elderly neigbors when I was young,, Love your channel from Maine.
We enjoy your videos so much! Love your style, and your humility and wit. I have learned much from watching you.
decades rotting in the sun, but the headlights looks perfect still, glass... todays crappy plastic ones will yellow even if taken care and inside a garage...
"Dirt in the fuel line....just blowed it away" C. W. Moss
I love watching these old engines get fixed up. I watch other channels who deal with modern cars and they just have a sea of plastic and 1500 hoses on every engine. It’s refreshing to see something simple working.

Love seeing these old cars given the chance to try an run again. Your abilities with getting them going again is awesome. Sounds alot like Chuggaboom once shes runnin. You might have grown up in the 60's/70's if anyone gets that reference😉
Blowing that torch down the manifold is the best thing I seen here! Awesome
Love this channel. It's fun watching all these really old vehicles come back to life.
Since I’ve been a fan of the channel I have kept a supply of pb blaster and marvel mystery oil in my garage. Thanks lad. Love the channel.
I’m a big fan of your channel I wish you would make longer videos because I like the stuff that you do when I think it’s pretty cool that’s why I follow your channel I like all those old trucks keep up the good work keep making more videos. Thanks.
Love seeing more of the hard work that brings these back to life
love the longer uncut videos, keep rocking dude!
I Absoloutley Love this fella, got notifications on forever haha
Almost 300k well deserved subscribers. It is always a nice surprise when you post, you really make the best videos of bringing these old beasts back to life.
Yes, the longer videos are so much better.
Love this guys passion for old machines
Another great installment. Always a joy when Jennings post a new video.
You popped up in my feed about a week ago. Been watching ever since! I’m retiring to Arizona next year and I’m thinking of doing this for a hobby! Thank you!
Love the sneak peek at the Clearcoat you did, would love to see this old truck get some use for sure
I always look forward to your videos so - yes, longer ones please, and maybe more often?
if you’re a car person like myself then this is just a treat.
Always a pleasure to see your revivals. 👍👍👍👍
OK Mr. Dustin Jennings. You sure lucked out on this one. It rolled over with the belt and the belt wasn't even going over generator! Ha! That's crazy easy. When I was a kid learning about cars, one of my neighbors had a Doodlebug Tractor. It had an extra steering wheel on the passenger side that wrapped a cable up to raise and lower the implement on the back or front. They also had horses, so when they got the Doodlebug stuck, they'd get the horses and pull it out. Great fun watching Jennings, you have an amazing ability to "get everything right" so it'll run. That takes some real reasoning power. Thank you, ben/ michigan
My bro had a 32 Chevy that was a 'power unit.' He found a body, but his wife gave him an ultimatum. Getting it running was a blast.
I bet he doesn't miss her! Anyone using ultimatums to control their spouse doesnt know what love is.
So how is the 32 running?
Lol. Her replacement was a gem ;) @@JeffKopis
In my early days, after contracting the "old car" fever, I would look in the newspaper ads for cars and there were so many ads saying "wife says it has to go"! I always said to myself "no, it's the wife that has to go"! I never married, but I can't ever imagining giving somebody that I loved an ultimatum!
I live in a village called Jennings! You're my favorite car channel!! Thank you for what you do!
You are a born showman. Lotta laughs. Great videos.
I really enjoy your channel, keep doing what you are doing!
Love the longer video. Thanks so much for all your work !!!
Super , another saved ,, yes longer films ,, thanks for sharing,
allways like youe videos the longer the better you are a wizard with engines
This guy finds the coolest cars and trucks.
I'm working on waking up a 1950 GMC 350 farm truck thats been parked since 89'. It has the straight 6 and its locked up. I figured out a neat trick to getting diesel into the cylinders. I used a 2 gallon weed sprayer bottle, filled it with diesel and pumped it up. It sprayed perfectly into the spark plug holes with a small stream and no mess. Love your videos and thank you for your hard work.
Great idea!
love the way you are able to bring life back to what most people would consider as just abandoned yard art :-)
Really great to watch you. 😊😊😊
G'day mate awesome cool channel love the clearcoated 36 at the end sweet truck 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
You got her going, awesome job. Bit of tidy up and she is ready for the road.
Longer videos with more of the problem solving shown, not cut away when there's an issue and restarted after you've solved it..... the problem solving is a major part of your channel.
Mr Jennings.. “Will this pile of rust run again after 75 years” (purrs like a kitten). Ford… “will this ecoboost engine start after two weeks” (locked solid).
EcoBoost is extremely economical when it's locked solid. No fuel consumption whatsoever.
Great work on an old machine! Cheers!😁👍🛠️🔧
Brilliant video, watching from Portsmouth England
You did a great job on that A Model. You do awesome work. Pete from Maine
Always enjoy watching your go for it method videos.
Good evening from Cape Cod 🦈 it's amazing that something sitting that long actually still runs with minimal effort, about to take away from the hard work that you put into this. You're an interesting guy with the great amount of talent, as long as your videos are I'll be watching 👍✌️🇺🇲
Longer videos please more in depth of what you do with this stuff
Def longer vids.... don't matter bout mistakes or bloopers...fun to watch those old cars /trucks get going...saved
You, sir, are the engine whisperer...
This old girl would be a great restoration project for someone who has the time, money…and mechanical experience to put into her. Wish it were me but sadly it isn’t. Loved the post. Thank you
It’s always a good day when I see one of you vids pop up! I’ve learned a lot watching you work on these old gals!
I like both the long and short videos you do though if I had a preference I suppose it'd be the longer videos. Great work with this one! I'm surprised it was such an easy engine to wake back up
Oh yeah, I really enjoy the longer videos. Thank you.
Amazing that even the starter motor worked after 75 years standing like it has… ❤️🇷🇴
Your videos give me so much joy in a world that seems to have gone mad and falling apart! You genuinely give these old machines some real love. Also I just love your southern accent (I'm a Brit). Thank you and keep them coming!
Love the sound of those old motors!!!!
I always enjoy your videos so much.
Another great one here.
Thanks!
Wow! Very impressive! Great job getting her started.👌😎👍
Its been said before on this channel, this guys a necromancer. Fabulous!
Great job, you know your stuff for a younger guy! She sounded pretty decent once it was running on gasoline. The 36 looks amazing!
The finest in automotive repair tools. A crowbar and hammer 😅 I learned something new and enjoyed the longer video keep them coming
keep up the great work. longer format is what its all about. love the long format stuff
Another great video! You keep cranking them out, and I'll keep watching them. I really wish that I could find somebody like you around here, because I'd love to have the experience of bringing some of these old classics back to life
I am not a regular viewer but wanted to say I like your videos being longer though I'm not unhappy with shorter vids either. Keep up the great work!
Love listening to him when you get them running
Check your starter bolts, the starter moves when you are cranking it. Love your videos.
Impressive!! The finished truck is truly awesome.
“Done got a whole spider family living in there!” *Proceeds to immediately start poking at it*
You are a legend! Keep doing what you’re doing!
And it's another one for the books. Good video, I have a model A doodle bug that I got not running for years along with a couple old Dodge trucks that need attention too. Keep em coming.
I prefer a longer video . Great job
Removed eveything from a '28 Tudor which had been sitting as long or longer than this one. I stored the parts away. Funny thing is, I tested the old starter, and it ran like new! Your videos are much enjoyed...keep 'em coming!
Really interesting. What a challenge. Enjoy seeing how you work and your narration. Thank you.
It is truly amazing how these old cars come back to life
Definitely longer videos. You got my vote on that.
I enjoy watching all these videos, the longer the better 💪🏼
Love the videos, definitely enjoy the longer ones
Thank you JMS, I love the model A content. Soon my 1928 will be road legal
You know a vehicle is going to be special when you see solid core wiring and a lightswitch in it.
I have a photo of our century old family home with a Model A in the drive, awhile back I found like a softball sized lava rock, was kidding my buddy tellin' him "Itsa Meteor!" then just a few weeks later a wooden pinion gear popped out of the soil.. the it fit, the lava rock, it was foundry slag, they had make their own parts!
My favorite channel 👍👍
I find all of our videos to be just so engaging. Thank you for rescuing these motors from the scrap heap.
All your viewers are wondering what happens to them after you 'resurrect' them?
Awesome!!!
I heard "this old girl" in my head as soon as the notification popped up!
