I feel reminded of all the criticism that was levied against the Gamergate movement and sadly the critcisms you state has not evolved for the last 10 years. It did not convince me back than as it does not do now.
Can't there be games with sexualization (for boys)?
Why do you have to be condecending to people that dislike a certain asthetic (like with Horizon Zero Dawn)?
Are you certain, you do not externalize your own insecurities about your own body onto Lara Croft (who has a pretty obtainable body)?
I will never look like Duke Nukem or any other hypersexualized bodybuilder man in a video game and i am fine with that. Yet I see nothing wrong in admiring/playing with such a character.
Video Games are a fantasy world, just like books and film. People want something out of the ordinary, something to aspire to in order to forget their mundane real lifes for a couple of hours. Who are you to decide what is acceptable for whom?

Exactly on point, that’s why they are not even making a average looking female characters, to boost some weirdo’s self confidence 😂

Phos was such a great guest! Really loved this interview. As a regular Twitch viewer and occasional mod, I have seen so much gendered harassment and discrimination. A very toxic environment at times. This mini-series is so good!!

The changes are very welcome! So good that now we have more female-led projects and an even more diverse group of developer, game designers, leading to amazing games like The Last of Us, Fable 4 and some instances of Assassins Creed. Still lacking a lot but it certainly a huge step comparing to what was happening 30 years ago.

🤣🤣🤣 You can choose to make a game with a protagonists looking like a dinosaur and I can choose not spend a penny on it. Guess what, there will be dev make what people really want and don’t give a f about the sbi stuff
