I had the Dewback and Tauntaun as a kid - so fun man! Loved this video. I never got a Wampa. I will eventually track one down. That Rancor is one epic beast!
Those spring trapdoors for the creature's was nothing short of brilliant. The Wampa seriously looks like a friendly creature. The Rancor is something I definitely want to get someday, that was always one of my favorite "monsters," they did such a great job with it in RotJ.
One of your best videos GQ Jedi. I love watching them on my big screen TV. I still need a Rancor, and I think I’ll have to whiten my Wampa, so I’ll watch that video next. Have you heard of Smith Lord Creations? They’re coming out with a Kenner un produced Bantha with all the Kenner likeness and even includes a hatch similar to Taun Taun and Dewback for a Sandperson!
Thanks, amigo! Hope you find your Rancor. Yes, give that Wampa a bath, you'll love how he turns out! I have heard of SmithLord and have spoken with him a couple times. I missed the Bantha preorder however. Maybe I can still get one at some point. We'll see.
Best video yet! I am beyond obsessed with the creatures of Star Wars and love seeing your minty beasts. Can’t wait for Jabba, which might be my favorite thing Kenner ever made.
Thank you, Sir! Appreciate it. The Creatures and aliens of Star Wars are part of the glue that holds it altogether. So many likable beings! Jabba as you just heard, is my boy! Expect to see him sometime soon.
Might I recommend the Sandtrooper custom figure, which we never got, to be mounted on your Dewback. This looks incredible and more movie-like. Procustomfigures has 3 different ones-orange, white and black pauldrons with molded backpack. Also I was able to buy a set of the long snub-nosed rifles with strap to accompany him.
Great suggestion!! Do you know if ProCustomFigures still has any of these for sale?? And are they movable and feel similar to the Stan Solo figures? I ask because the SS figs feel as though Kenner made them back in the day.
Yes I agree! Jabba is not a creature he is a sentient being, a character, a figure. I never wanted a Wampa as a kid, I thought the toy looked silly, but I got one a few years ago and it is great!
I didn't quite understand Jabba was his own playset until I got older. I knew about the Dungeon playsets when I was a teenager, so when I first heard about a Jabba The Hutt playset not long after, I at first assumed it was the dungeon playset. Read about it and found out it was Jabba and his throne with Salacious.
Yup, that saddle was an ingenious design. So much so, that Super 7 replicated it for their ReAction Battle-Cat and Panthor. Despite their limitations in posing, the figures will always be charming.🤘
No kidding?! See I didn't know that. I had og He-Man toys back in the day but don't collect or follow any toy lines outside Star Wars. GI Joes blew SW away with articulated joints but I'll never turn my back on Star Wars. Never.
I'm beyond grateful for your kind words and support! Thank you so very much for watching my video!! It's my intention to keep delivering the same quality content to you all. MTFBWY!!!
GQ, yes go to pro custom figures online. They have the sand troopers available and the quality is top notch. I can't tell the dif between SS and ProCustom. Ive bought many customs from both companies. Also Pro Custom has some cool Boba Fett and Rebel Pilots.
I have heard of them. I just haven't actually got around to ordering from them. So ProCustom look great. Do they actually feel factory made like the Stan Solo figures?? Please let me know.
@@GQJedi Yes they feel the same and factory made. The plastic quality, the weight, etc. Cards are great. It does not feel like something that is 3D printed or anything like that. Everything I've ordered shipped to me no problem. I'd say try one thing and if you like it, order more. Thats what I did. I have about 8 of their figures loose and carded.
No kidding. Well, I am happy to have been found. Instagram is fun but I needed a place to chat more about my love of Kenner Star Wars, so I started the channel.
@@GQJedi Yes, I did. But I missed the initial preorder when it first sold out. It seems they occasionally opened it up a few times since then and I got lucky one time. Maybe check back occasionally. (If it gets actually made) The aftermarket price will be murda.
@@holeymattress8128 Will keep tabs. Thanks for reminding me about it! Cheers to you on securing a slot. And yes...afterwards will cost a lot of cash. Yikes!
What? No screw in the Kenner tauntaun and dewback saddles and no back plug!? But I was told that The Fans Strike Back bantha was "exactly how Kenner would have made it." Was I lied to?
This is definitely my favorite video you've done yet!!! And I liked all the other ones so thats saying something. I loved this overview of the creatures, and id consider Jabba a character more than a creature so I personally don't think he should be in this video anyway. The Kenner saddle idea is one of the best things they did, up there with the cardboard playsets. Anyway, great video and this will be one I Definitely watch more than once.
Thanks, bro!! Jabba is a character, definitely not a creature! I mean, he's a Hutt alright. But he's still a character worthy to be called a figure but too big for a blister card, so Kenner stuck him in a box. End of story. He's one of my favs too. Have 3 setups ;) The saddle move is smart. Create a proven method and rinse and repeat. Good business move. Great for us kiddies too! Thanks so much for your diehard support, my dude!! MTFBWY!
@@GQJedi haha so I was sitting downstairs today doing some work on my own collection and I realized If you allow me to count MIB wampa's then I actually have 5... now mine are POTF2 and beyond so not 5 vintage like your 4 but its still 5 Wampa's haha
5?! You get the obsession then I see. LOL. Thank you for sharing in our inner geek circle. Love It!! I feel that I should host a group therapy session for collecting SW here. :)

Good luck on your Wampa hunt!
The commercials were the best, wampa, wampa, wampa!
Absolutely!

You are right. The trap door was a nice feature for kids. Pure genius. Kenner crushed it with all the creatures they made in my opinion.
Never owned a rancor when I was a kid, but as an adult one of my friends owned two, so he gave me his spare one. :)
Good friend!
That picture of the toy aisle man with the play sets that was amazing super memories there
Nothing better than old school.
Jabba The Hutt is an action figure...👌🏼💯✔ I'm so glad you didn't disrespect him by putting him in/on this list...👍🏼
He Is an action figure! No other way to slice it?! 👊🏻

Exactly! The Wampa toy is awesome!! Can't say enough good things about that piece.
Great video! The trap door feature to seat your figures was a clever solution. The illusion worked pretty well.
Thank you! The trap door feature was genius. Simple yet effective.
Yessssssss! The creatures are where its at! Agree. Thanks for the vid
