Glad to see some love for the Stormtroopers. As a young kid I remember them being my favorite. For a few years after I had first saw them I thought they were robots (which made me love them that much more at that time). My best friend told me that they were not robots but I would argue with him about that, lol. I remember mom letting me choose my first Star Wars action figure and I got a Stormtrooper and then a few weeks after that she said I could pick another and I brought another Stormtrooper to her. She kept trying to get me to pick another figure and couldn't understand why I would want 2 of the same one , but in the end she let me have my 2nd Stormtrooper. There was nothing like seeing those carded figures on the pegs at the the store back then, because there was nothing like that at that time.
YES! I loved (and still do love) the original Stormtrooper uniforms! I thought those guys looked so cool as a kid. I wished I could have had an army of them! :)
I saw SW for the first time when I was 4 years old (my dad rented it on VHS) and also thought the stormtroopers were robots :) Stormtroopers go all the to the top of the list for me also :)
Great vid and as always I love your photos. I was very surprised none of the original cantina creatures from A New Hope or aliens from Return of the Jedi were on your list, they were amazing! Hammerhead, Greedo, Zuckuss/4-LOM, ReeYees, Squidhead, Weequay, Bib Fortuna, even Admiral Ackbar! Gotta agree with the Bespin Han and Luke though, they were my go-to versions.
That is a good point! I never had Admiral Ackbar and I wasn't much of a fan of the Bib Fortuna figure. On the other hand, Greedo was a figure that I always loved! It's tough to make a Top 10 list like this when some of my favorites changes from week to week. I could see Greedo or Bossk beating out the Emperor's Royal Guard or the Skiff Guard Lando depending on what I was into on any given week, but some figures, like Boba Fett or Bespin Luke and Han, would always be in my Top 10!
There's some bad asses in that line up there, Kenner went absolutely next level with the Jedi aliens, it's hard to call a winner or even an order. Squid Head springs to mind when I think of the beautiful sculpting and clothing. ReeYees looked strong!

Good video choice. Blue snags really sets off the cantina aliens in your, as always, beautiful photo shots. R2 two hits a special spot for me. Pop up lightsaber, nah so much. I don't know why! I always wonder why we never got a Kenner update for headless Vader (empire) or handless Vader (Return). Biker scout stuck out. Probably more than else, including the blood red and quiet Emperor's Guards. Bespin Han is gold. (I like Luke Silver better). StormTroopers are a favorite of mine. Cool shot of Bespin Luke! The Ewoks (as toys) were pretty good cause they were built like a tank. You step on them and they wouldn't break. Could also wing them at your brother and do some decent damage.
I love the figures on your list and also love the photographs to go along with it. I'd love to play in those spots :) Bespin Luke looked great out there in the wilderness (as did the stormtrooper). :) The stormtrooper and Chewbacca are at the top of most of my vintage SW figure lists. I would've had Endor Leia on the list, Snaggletooth The original Han Solo fig is the best Han for the Falcon as he is compact and his "quick draw" arm is easily out of the way for a copilot to man the controls. Great picks for your Vintage Kenner Star Wars top 10, I had everyone of the figures on your list! The only one I would change is Luke, I preferred my Return of the Jedi Luke to Bespin Luke, other than that great choices overall!
Thanks! Honestly, I could make a new Top 10 Star Wars figure list every year and it would be different every time! Return of the Jedi Luke was a great figure too. If they had all come out at the same time, I may have preferred him, but part of the reason Bespin Luke was a favorite of mine was the timing. :)
@@WeHadThat no problem, Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker was the first Luke figure I had, though ironically Bespin Luke is the only figure I have left of my original collection! Lol
I am what you would call a Teenager today and at the mall near me there is a shop that sells kenner action figures! They are so cool and I love them, loved the video
Bikerscout is THE coolest design in all of Star Wars, so he was my favorite action figure. Skiff guard Lando was always great for me too. I loved the removable helmet when I was a kid. Bounty hunter Leia/Boushh was another favorite due to the removable helmet and overall cool design. Finally, I would put the cloud car pilot as a figure I was a big fan of. I liked his helmet, his color scheme and his molded side arm holster.
I had 7 of these. Numbers 4, 5, & 8 were the ones I didn't have. My Top 10 from the figures I did have would be: 10. Obi-Wan Kenobi (his blue lightsaber was cooler than Luke's yellow one) 9. Tusken Raider (most bad-ass non-human character from the original movie) 8. Bib Fortuna (just because of the detail of this figure) 7. IG-88 (he was a badass in my play adventures) 6. FX-7, Medical Droid (because of that claw and the multi-jointed arms) 5. Lando Skiff Guard (same reason as you) 4. The Emperor (it was just cool to have him) 3. Boba Fett (of course!) 2. Yoda (small figure but he had so many cool accessories and a cloth cloak) 1. Luke Skywalker from ROTJ (this was the most accurate Luke figure, and I loved the cloth cloak)
Unfortunately the lightsaber that came with Bespon Luke got easily lost unlike with the telescoping lightsaber in Luke’s arm, probably the same reason for Darth vader and Ben Kenobi. Also how could not include yoda?
Out of over 100 vintage figures including variations, I can't narrow them down to a top 10 list. I would say that Yoda, Bespin Luke, Vader, and even Blue Snaggletooth would have to be in my top 50.

All excellent choices! My Top 10 list is in a constant state of flux. The Bespin Luke and Boba Fett (as well as some of the others) would always be on there, but some of the characters that fall lower on the list could easily be replaced with other, equally cool figures!
@@WeHadThat When we were kids my brother and I made the decision to cut off Bespin Lukes hand with a pair of scissors, for screen accuracy lol. We got those figs to play with them, not preserve and resell them. We buried them, froze them, burned them, threw them off the roof, blew them up with fireworks etc, so much fun
@@literallyunderrated A lot of the common ones are probably only worth $10 or so these days. I'm sure you had more than $10 worth of fun actually playing with them! ;)
It's funny, but I never really think of those last few when putting together my list of favorite Star Wars figures. I suppose it's because I never had any of them as a kid, so they just aren't stored in that part of my memory. With that said, I do have a vague memory of seeing them in the toy store back in the 80s when I was picking up something else. It was the Luke Stormtrooper that caught my eye. Even though I was there with my heart set on whatever I was into at the time, I remember part of me thinking, "This should have come out years ago!" It seems like later, I got a Han Solo in Stromtrooper disguise in some kind of cereal promo or something, but I don't remember the details on that at all. I just remember thinking that even though I wasn't collecting Star Wars figures at that time, I needed that particular figure!
@@WeHadThat I only saw some of those last few POTF figures once, in Kay*Bee, which, being Kay*Bee, were priced at the OUTRAGEOUS sum of FIVE WHOLE DOLLARS, so I passed on them, hoping to get them elsewhere for cheaper. My top 10 are 10. Hammerhead. 9. Snaggletooth, 8. Greedo. 7. Sand People 6. Bespin Solo 5. Chewbacca 4. Bossk 3. Dengar 2. Boba Fett 1. AT-AT stormtrooper/driver. When ROTJ came out I was 12 and was already transitioning to comic books and baseball cards. It’s weird but looking back I realize I loved the non-human characters.
I totally agree on Darth Vader not being as good a figure as he could've been. I think his legs should have the same king of robe sculpt as Obi-Wan. That would be far more bearable to look at if you were to lose the cape. I hate how TALL he is and the neck's too long. There's NO reason Darth Vader should be as tall and as skinny as Chewbacca. NONE. :)
I disagree. My list: 1, Bespin Luke 2, Stormtrooper Hoth 3, C-3PO, 4, Tie Fighter Pilot 5, Luke, Hoth 6, AT AT Driver 7, Boba Fett 8, Biker Scout 8 Luke, Tatooine 9, Darth Vader 10, First Princess Leia (but it is far from easy to pick).
@@WeHadThat However I am not yet certain. Today I got my first Star Wars action figures and some are newer and and some vintage
Welcome to the addiction...er...I mean hobby! :)
My Top 10 Favourite Star Wars Figures from 1977-1985:
#10) Lando Calrissian (General Pilot)
#9) Walrusman
#8) Warok (POTF & Last 17)
#7) Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)
#6) Boba Fett
#5) Imperial Dignitary (POTF & Last 17)
#4) Imperial Gunner (POTF & Last 17)
#3) Luke Skywalker (Battle Poncho Endor)
#2) C-3PO
#1) Yakface
just figured my list a couple days ago
1 boba fett
2 yoda
3 luke jedi
4 biker scout
5 luke bespin
6 tie fighter pilot
7 han bespin
8 bossk
9 lando skiff/gammorean guard (tie)
10 leia boushh
All excellent choices! My Top 10 list is in a constant state of flux. The Bespin Luke and Boba Fett (as well as some of the others) would always be on there, but some of the characters that fall lower on the list could easily be replaced with other, equally cool figures!
@@WeHadThat these might not be my 10 now but from my childhood for sure. These were the ones that stood out.
I'm sure you had more than $10 worth of fun actually playing with them! ;)
IG88. I loved IG88 and Hammerhead.
There were so many cool ones that it's difficult for me to choose!
I got all of them except for the one that is behind C3-PO. I bought the all for like 50.00 dollars
Woah! That sounds like a good deal! :)
I never had him, but I'd definitly put Amanaman in the Top 10. Massive, detailed, and creepy as all get-out.
Never saw any again until they started showing up in comic book shops for $70.
I like stories. 🤣
@@Beedo_Sookcool Woah, that's unfortunate!
@@WeHadThat It was from Froot Loops, I nabbed that too when they re-released SW in the mid/late 90's.
@@themonkeyhand Fruit Loops! I wonder if I still have that figure around here somewhere.
I own 9 out of 10 of those. All but the telescoping R2D2.
My top 10 are 10. Hammerhead. 9. Snaggletooth, 8. Greedo. 7. Sand People 6. Bespin Solo 5. Chewbacca 4. Bossk 3. Dengar 2. Boba Fett 1. AT-AT stormtrooper/driver. When ROTJ came out I was 12 and was already transitioning to comic books and baseball cards. It’s weird but looking back I realize I loved the non-human characters.
Would of added Greedo to the list. Great video 😀
Thanks! Although there are some figures that would probably always be on my list, I suspect my Top 10 list would change every few months! :)
I was gutted when I took my R2D2 out the packet when the sticker on his body ripped because it was glued to the card
Han Solo Hoth was my dream but was never sold in Mexico.
Wow! I didn't realize that you guys got fewer (or different?) figures in Mexico!
Great choices…
Yeah, Bobba Fett was cool, but the thickness of his back made it hard for him to sit in various vehicles.
I have a stormtrooper and a boba fett I got them from my dad
Very cool! 😀
Imperial Royal Guards and IG 88!!!
Both excellent choices! Every time I think about this list, there are a few different figures on it!
The Chewbacca and darthvader are good I have them
I got them all, just got Boba Fett the other day
That's awesome! Congratulation on adding Boba Fett to your collection! 🙂
NONE. :)
Without the cape, Darth Vader really looks skinny!
@@WeHadThat
Yeah, why is that the TIE pilot's beefy and Darth Vader isn't? :)
@@tperson8347 I do like the Tie Fighter Pilot!
i have darth vade boba fett and some more
My stephfater gave me all of those and like 50 More and I dont remember what happens to them
Wow! I wonder if they're hiding in a box somewhere, just waiting to be discovered! :)
Boba Fett my first choice as well!
He's an absolute classic!
Thanks for commenting! We share 4 of our top 10...and if I had done a top 20, several more of those would have been on here! :)
@@WeHadThat However I am not yet certain. Want to change my list to : 1, Bespin Luke 2, C-3PO (SW logo) 3, Tusken Raider (SW logo) 4, Leia (SW logo) 5, Stormtrooper Hoth (Empire logo) 6, Luke (Tatooine SW logo) 7, Tie Fighter Pilot 8, Luke Hoth 9, AT AT-driver 10, Biker Scout - Point is; these toys due to packaging were beautiful. Still are….But yeah, a top 20 or even top 30 list would be cool.
@@Retsler54 I'm sure if I put together this video today, there would be some changes. If I took the card art into account, it would be even more different!
C-3PO and the AT-AT Driver 🔥
no one did anything about the Adventure people
Vader's head breaks off too easily, the neck is so puny and weak.
Fonzi Han
Yes!
todays kids prefer Nintendo switch
I don't agree with this list!
With so many cool figures, I'd be surprised if any two people had the exact same lists! Even my Top 10 list changes somewhat from year to year. :)
Great list! Thanks for breaking it down.
