I was diagnosed in 2008...placed on Noritriptyline for a couple years, and it went fully. Now in menopause...I have the eye symptoms back now. I am going to just go up on the Nori again...my doctor in Boston, Mass here in the USA says it should work the same. Thanks for posting this. Wishing you the very best. I had symptoms 24/7 for 2 years...I know how tough this is.

Jennifer Curran thank you so much Jenifer this mean a lot I’m also so happy to hear it went away did you manage to come off the nort and be symptoms free ? If you don’t mind could I ask what dose you got too? Funny enough my doctor said I would 100% get this back at menopause too. Right now I jus need some relief lol I’ve been on nort 6 weeks only on 20mg and noticing small change so I’m hoping it works more as I go up. The detachment feeling and visual stuff are 100% my worst symptoms ! Wishing you all the best lm sure nort will work for you again :)

So glad to hear I’m not alone!
And all the other symptoms that go along with it! The tingles/muscle weakness feelings are the worst! I keep googling ms freaking out about that.
Everything is so episodic.. and I don’t know if this happens with you but my symptoms go in sync with my cycle! A week before my period and during my period it is the worst! A week before ovulation seems to be when I feel the most ‘normal’ haha

mine starts last dec 11,2018 . i had vertigo for 5 seconds and im about to fall evertyhing spinning and it stops. after im normal but after 2 days after my flight i had this BOAT sensation dizziness, brain fog, tinnitus, my eyes hard to focus.. when im in bed im normal in sitting position still normal but everytime i try to stand and walk its like im in a boat or trampoline. i cried a lot .. i see many doctors did blood works my thuroid is normal... so what i did i change my diet... take some multivitamin supplements and CLONAZEPAM for me to sleep... after 2 months i am 90% fine just a bit dizzy because of clonazepam side effect maybe.. i can drive now go to mall i can run.. 8hours sleep is what we need ... sorry for my grammar.... God bless guys we’ll be fine and normal soon...

Yes it's severely isolating just so many weird symptoms! I've tried 20 meds in 5 years. Still searching but running out of options.

I had to do 10mg for 3 weeks because 20 made my heart rate too high. No I did 20mg last night & today my heart rate was normal so hoping I can keep increasing my dose. Nortriptyline is the only thing that has been working for me. 30-50% is what is considered therapeutic.

Hey Amy - I've been struggling with symptoms along with anxiety for about 7 months now - I was on dosulepin for a while and made me more spaced out than I already was so I stopped taking it. I now take CBD oil and find that good quality tinctures help alot x

Amy Shockett pretty much all of them but mostly muscle pain/tension, dizziness, confusion and nausea. I buy mine from here www.holistichempscotland.com worth looking into. Also I know that Holland&Barrett stock it now just not sure of the quality... x

Amy Shockett yeah it’s just pure CBD without THC hence no psychoactive properties. Do give it a shot x

Amy Shockett also do look into MEDIPEN, they’re based in London. I haven’t tried it yet but it’s a vaporiser with pure cbd oil. I looked at their Facebook page with reviews of people saying how much it worked wonders with various conditions like arthritis, fibro etc xx

I am also into fitness (bodybuilding) and have been so for 7 years until 7 months ago when i experienced debilitating vertigo (nystagmus: spinning sensation) at the gym and made a huge seen becausei thought i was about to die. I have not been the same ever since because i developed PTSD from it as well as anxiety when i never had anxiety in past. I was recently diagnosed with having a vestibular migraine and have also been told to take magnesium, vitamin b2, q10, omega 3, and l-theanine with suntheanine. Overtime my smptoms gradually improved and and taking these vitamns and minerals have seems to help a bit. Im not 100% sure as to why this happened to me but the only thing that i can recall on taking before this happened was drinking my pre-workout supplement prior to working out which does not seem impossible in being the most likely culptrit to my situation. Looking at the ingredients and researching everything on there i became more and more reassured that it was the pre-workout since it contained dangerous ingrediants that do not interact well with each other and have an antogonist effect between one another like caffein, yohombine, synephrine, creatine, aspartame, naicin, beta-aline, tyrosine, and other ingredisents that seem to be triggers of migraines. Although i am still not 100% sure that drinking this certin pre-workout caused me to experience a very negative side effect, i would suggest you look into the things that you consumed at the time you experience this debilitating event. I no longer take pre-workout or any supplements for that matter as im doing all i possibly can to avoid another life scaring experience. If you take pre-workout since you are into fitness, try slowly cutting it out of your diet to avoid any withdrawal symptoms untill you are finally free of it and see if that helps a bit.
Anyways best of luck and i hope you find your peace and recover to 100% as do i. You are defenitley not alone and i feel you pain, still feeling it too. Take good care!

Interesting as my first experience of vestibular migraine was after taking post-workout supplements (although I didn’t know it was migraine at the time). About a year later, it became chronic. I think I had the condition for a lot longer than I realised and something in the supplements must have been a migraine trigger for me.
