- Video has a long ending because of a trick back in the day where you would get better quality if you had a long stretch of the same frame over and over. The youtube converter would then put as much information it would on an 11 minute video, and use it all where it was most needed; the part that has vangelis in it.
This melody belongs to the pantheon of the most beautiful melodies humanity has ever written.
Quite possibly the most successful songs in history. Chariots of fire, winning an oscar for best sound track. Vangelis brings to life the high hopes of people around the world with this musical score. Not just for the idea of winning a track and field race, but to win any race whether sports or just simply to live without the obstacles in the way. He is in my view one of the best composers of our time. Hitting us with the serene and beautiful escapism we all crave in our lives. Brilliant score.

I remember playing this master peace at age of 9 years old on piano it was a hard peace to play at the time he had some wonderful music I have learn the greats now I have written my own music of 33 songs and still written that is my dream make my music come to life my longest song is 14 min it's call night breeze chariots never gets tired of playing that's for sure 🎶🎶🎶

I was listening to this one day as I began to paint a seascape. The music led me into another place and the paining morphed into more of an impressionistic abstract. The raw triumphant feel of the score worked its magic and I had a painting well admired when done.

It also had a predicted 40% chance of the vulcan being shot down. Thats why they played it after they were on their way home.
(To be fair, the reason a Vulcan was used in the bombing run is because its main purpose is as part of the United Kingdom's nuclear deterrent. In other words to show that the UK could nuke argentina.)

I never have heard the heaven music, Angels playing the instruments, only who has a Jesús friendship can have that power, but always i’ve been imaging how Angels of God, sings and play the instrument, and I found Vangelis to have a little bit similar idea about it. this music always gives me goosebumps, and it's a different sound, this really seems angelic, like the choir of God. wow 🙌🏽
