Le rôle de Christophe Colomb va comme un gant a Gérard Depardieu, c'est même l'uns de ses meilleurs films qu'il a pu faire en tant qu'acteur. Et la musique de vangelis est une pure beauté....
it isn't, the music and sountrack are awesome and epic, but the movie is shit. It contradicts itself multiple times, and paints Columbus as a person of vision, not to mention it made the fact that Columbus slaughtered mercilessly a bunch of natives into a myth, not even basing itself on history itself, but on what is thought in school. The soundtrack as I said is epic, but the movie itself isn't historically accurate, nor is it a good historic movie.
I agree the music is great but I don't remember much about the film. I don't think it's accurate enough about the real reason for the exploration, which is greed.

Me encanta esta película, de hecho la fui a ver al cine el 12 de Octubre de 1992, el día que se cumplían 500 años del descubrimiento de América. La música de Vangelis es realmente sensacional, hace que la experiencia sea aun mejor.

This is an excellent historic epic movie, with a soundtrack masterpiece by Vangelis!
it isn't, the music and sountrack are awesome and epic, but the movie is shit.
It contradicts itself multiple times, and paints Columbus as a person of vision, not to mention it made the fact that Columbus slaughtered mercilessly a bunch of natives into a myth, not even basing itself on history itself, but on what is thought in school.
The soundtrack as I said is epic, but the movie itself isn't historically accurate, nor is it a good historic movie.
I agree the music is great but I don't remember much about the film. I don't think it's accurate enough about the real reason for the exploration, which is greed.

Me encanta esta película, de hecho la fui a ver al cine el 12 de Octubre de 1992, el día que se cumplían 500 años del descubrimiento de América. La música de Vangelis es realmente sensacional, hace que la experiencia sea aun mejor.
Y es un tributo del britanico Ridley Scott a lo que realmente paso. Colon no fue un racista, como dicen algunos enemigos de la libertad de hoy en dia.

Bueno, eso es porque no hemos podido ver al auténtico Cristóbal Colón (o Christopher Colombus), arribando en América...aunque seguramente ambas escenas,la real y la escénica ,bien pudieron ser muy similares.
La pelicula es leyendanegrista a más no poder. Pero he de reconocer que la banda sonora y esa escena en concreto son maravillosas.

You shouldn't get your history knowledge from movies. Especially this one. Music is epic though.
People are too arrogant. They want to judge from the vantage of modern morality as if they are inherently superior. Even worse, their modern morality is not their own, it was given to them by their forebears and is not a product of their personal character at all.
@@mountainjew1474 Most of my history comes from books. Now I admit I have read more on Cortez simply because there so much more resource material from that time. But from what I have read about Colombus this movie s fairly accurate.
