I remember running the last leg of a relay race on field day in the third grade. I was currently in 3 rd place. This song came on over the PA. A fire suddenly stoked up within me. I overtook from behind and finished 1st to get that Blue ribbon. The power of good music and self determination will see one through 😊
The only food for my soul..It makes me remember the fallen friends and family. It makes me wonder about the meaning of this life .... mysteriously beautiful melody.

I ran a half marathon 23yrs ago I had this music in my ears for the last 3 miles. I flew those miles. I past over a hundred other runners lol

Used it as trackage when doing a 20-mile charity walk in Seattle w/a friend, back shortly after this movie came out, (Along with other music) and we managed it with ease thanks to such a musical backdrop. She passed a few years ago from a brain cancer, I hope this was one of the things she remembered.

When I was 10 years old.....im now 50. I was watching the movie. This sound track came on and I lost myself with emotion. I forgot there was others in the room I was cheering and clapping. My brothers and sisters tease me to this day for that

in 1999, there was a Solar Eclipse, it was a big deal because the last time a full eclipse happened in my city was 75 years ago from that time, back then I was like in third grade ish, like 8 or so..for an entire month, everyone was talking about this expected Solar Eclipse, on tv, in coffee shops, in the street, everywhere, and many of tv announcements and ads about this Solar Eclipse, such as interviews with scientists talking about full Eclipse effects or entertainment shows explaining how to DIY the glasses needed to watch the Eclipse live (I still have the glasses that I made myself), most of these shows and ads (for some reason) they had this music as the background music, mostly captions with accelerated Solar Eclipse videos with this music as the background music and stuff like that, that's why I always called it "the eclipse music" since then, and even tho now I know it's called Chariots Of Fire and everything about this piece and the movie behind it, I still tend to subconsciously think "oh the Eclipse music" whenever I hear it again...it mostly remind of how Sad I was after the Solar Eclipse Ended and how Stunned I was by the view of the 10-minute Day Night and the blazing ring in the sky, all these childhood memories are brought back whenever I hear Chariots OF Fire.

Evángelos est né quelque part en Grèce, en 1943
Je suis né quelque part en France, en 1947
Il a grandi en Grèce
J'ai grandi en France
Sur la route de Londres en 1968 avec Aphrodite's Child (Evángelos devenu Vangelis, Lucas Sideras et Demis Roussos, ) la police anglaise les a refoulé en France et ils se sont retrouvés bloqués à Paris.
Ils avaient 25, 24 et 22 ans.
J'étais à Paris, étudiant contestataire dans les rues pavées de mai 68, nous avons refoulé la police à Paris et la France s'est trouvée bloquée en France. J'avais 21 ans.
On s'est croisé mais sans jamais se connaître, on ne s'est plus quitté, moi fan du groupe (3 albums) et puis chacun est parti de son côté et moi aussi, mais fan à vie de l'homme musicien Vangelis.
Demis est mort, puis Evángelos.
Lucas Sideras lui est toujours vivant, moi aussi, qui écris en ce moment.
Mais sûr ! Évángelos, je le croiserai à nouveau ailleurs et pour de bon je l'aborderai et discuterai avec lui.
Le temps qui passe et nous fait rater les rencontres, c'est ici bas.
Ailleurs, il y a l'éternité et l'éternité, c'est long ! 😉
