- The 2024 Home Run Derby might be the most memorable one yet - thanks to singer Ingrid Andress’ viral performance of the National Anthem before the game. On Monday, July 15 the four-time Grammy nominated artist sang her rendition of the anthem live at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas which sparked a major stir on social media. “My ears are bleeding. One of the worst national anthem renditions ever,” one user on ‘X’ wrote, while another said, “I'm so sorry, I'm sure Ingrid Andress is a wonderful person, but that was one of the worst national anthems I think I've ever heard in my whole life.”

Venues need to make sure that singers can sing without being autotuned. Many can’t.
I am a public address announcer for the last 49 years. Multiple sports, I have heard that song a MILLION times. That was a embarrassment to her, to her, the Texas Rangers and MLB. The WORST!

Ingrid Andress has just surpassed Steven Tyler's 2001 National Anthem performance from the Indianapolis 500 as worst anthem performance ever!
They forgot about Roseanne Barr. She, too, was one of the worst persons to sing the National Anthem. I also remember when that Mexican American little boy, Sebastian Dela Cruz who sang the National Anthem. He, too, got back lash, and he sang it much better than Rosanne, Fergie, and Ingrid.
Look At her eyes and body posture. She was 💯 drunk or on something. She barely has her eyes open, slouched down, slurring words, and barely coherent.

Someone on UA-cam auto tuned it and it sounds completely utterly different. I wonder if this is how she really sounds and everything is autotuned and something went wrong here with it.
Usually good singers can sing well even whilst drunk. But when you have zero voice, drunk or not, without auto-tune and computer help you're going to sound crap. Which says a lot about the music industry. Non-values are promoted as "singers"...

The national anthem is nothing more than a war song; her rendition was on the mark. My cat was very attentive to the song. So what if this singer was not on pitch. I can't sing worth a damn, but I always give it my best. You didn't like how she sung? Who gives a ding dong.
