Came back to look at every title screen one last time before I load up The Final Shape to get a listen
wait for me, Im coming with you too my friend :)
Crazy to think that final shape will mark the end of the light and dark saga and then years since the OG release of Destiny. It’s been crazy years and getting to hear all these amazing tracks again makes me tear up knowing that the first part of our journey is ending. It’s been a crazy decade, guardians
But Bungie confirmed that The F.S isn’t the end of Destiny as a whole, just the Light & Darkness Saga
I wonder what might follow the saga of Light and Darkness? The colorless deep fog? The lands between...?
@@cksupreme maybe they will focus more into the other enemies other than the major darkness and the witness stuff, like the vex
@@cksupreme The fallen leaves tell a story.
@@lonestar4233 Lol I'm glad there's some guys in the comments who get it.
There’s just something about the original title theme that makes it stand out above all the others for me
Same me guardian
the nostalgia, the theme that started this long adventerous journey. so iconic and breath taking
i will always love this theme and "Never Forget"
Marty O'Donnell 🫡
If youve played from the start, its because it reminds you of how innocent you were to the game. Wondering what was out there and having a good time with the mystery and grind.
Gives me goosebumps everytime
I hope for Final Shape we will get music that is more reminiscent of D1 Year 1. It would perfectly tie up the entire saga
This comment did not age well 😢
The Taken King one
My first ever background. The feeling of dread and excitement at my first proper NEW game when I was just 9, big step up from minecraft and sly cooper.
Final Shape releases ON MY BIRTHDAY and I'll be 19 and it feels special. Yknow, probably over £1000 later that I've spent on this game
My goodness, child.. i do feel kind of relieved that you started off the game as a kid.. i started on D2 a few weeks after my 32nd birthday, with season of the lost just fresh off of grinding another pointless game (cough call of duty cough), and i have spent just as much if not more than you in USD getting everything that i liked lol.. from every deluxe edition to now 3 different annual passes.. it was a shorter journey than yours, indeed, but a journey nonetheless.. i commend you, Guardian, for having stuck around. And i hope to meet you someday in-game 🖤
Oh, and by the by, happy birthday! May your journey as a proper adult be filled with proper joy as well 🔥
I joined during the end of season of the lost, just before witch queen
the beyond light menu will forever be engrained in my brain
it's both bold and ominous, yet calm and cold, leaving you to think
"what else does Destiny have to offer"
That means you started d2 just barely before me! I got so used to the magnificent horns in the witch queen and taken king titlescreen music, nothing else can compare
same as me ! started halfway through season of the hunt, so Beyond Light's theme will forever be in my heart
❤
@@mediitemsame with me, holds a special place in my heart
Same here such an incredible theme 😭 It really embodies the secrets and mysteries of this game. I remember my first hours where anything was a discovery. What a game ❤
Warmind theme go hard as hell ong
It legit scares you too because you feel tired and this song just wakes you up instantly
I swear, the best so far
Warmind and Rise of Iron are so fire imo
i cant believe ive played this game since 2014. this game has been apart of my life for so long its crazy i use to come home from school to grind and raid now im 24 looking forward to playing after work now. crazy how fast time goes by. it will be a sad day whenever destiny gets its final update
Fr bro where has the time gone 😭
The first exotic weapon i unlocked in destiny 1 was the invective. Lots of good memories
@@robertoguardado4875 mine was plan c I remember my raid team’s reaction was that gun sucks but for me getting my first exotic was amazing and i was happy with it
For real. It's crazy to think I was 14 years old when i first played destiny. Now i'm 22. Literally went through the end of middle school to all of high school and now almost all of college. It's been apart of my life like where did time go.
Same here bro, sinds destiny came to us it's being a part of part of our life
Forsaken's theme always hits different. It really feels like the biggest turning point in Destiny's history. Not just in universe with Cayde's death and Savathun starting to unveil herself, but gameplay wise too with the shift to Kinetic and Energy weapons and the return of randomised perks... we really have come a long way.
I'm sad that they've never been able to top forsaken, the closest we got was witch queen but the seasons are undoubtedly worse the forsaken's seasons
@@Crap_A.I_birdWere they? Because black armory was a slog and people had a loooot to say about joker's wild. Opulence is an all time great season, but in terms of consistency, year 5 is better
Personally, I’d say Taken King was the biggest turning point in Destiny history, but that might be nostalgia talking.
I'd add to that. It's the turning point for Destiny 2 specifically to turn "dark". Darker themes, sadder overtones and an overall dread building ever since
it was so sad as a d1 player seeing that it took years for d2 to get BACK to where d1 was
The coolest part about this is how it was always a white background, until Forsaken when cayde died and it switched from light to dark. and that was the first time the line between light and dark (good & evil) really got blurred, we as lightbearers murdered somebody that was technically innocent, someone brainwashed by magic, we couldn’t see past that anger. And then Beyond light is where we started using the darkness and the music has been reflected in every title screen since.
Good take on that but it’s funny that the only reason they changed it back to dark was because it reminded destiny 2 players of the sun lol
Fun fact: both Destiny 1 and 2's main theme motifs have 7 notes in them, which is a very significant number to Bungie.
Funner fact: the Forsaken motif shares the same amount of notes as The Taken King's, which makes sense considering Forsaken was basically D2's TTK equivalent.
i have always loved the motifs of destiny. they evoke feelings of power and heroism, while also being bittersweet at the same time
The Curse of Osiris title theme goes unbelievably hard. Reminds me of Assassin's Creed Origins
Yeah, actually does sound like that :)
I absolutely love AC Origins
I was playing Origins when Curse of Osiris had come out. I used to confuse the themes with each other lol
True😢
d1 vanilla wont stop cutting unions 😢
I know right. I miss the music and those memories. D1 y1 imo was one of the best eras of destiny besides The Red War and The Taken King.
It always gets me too...
@@martbach saw this noti, came back to the video and teared up 😢

Bro the taken king hits so hard for me, this DLC is when i met some of my best friends, hearing it again now makes me wanna cry
I really don’t remember Curse of Osiris ever having its own Title Screen music but it still slaps
Me either, I could have sworn it was the same as base D2. I recall the Warmind theme being cool, not only for the meme, but because it changed the theme
Bro the entire soundtrack of curse of Osiris is so good.
Damn hearing the old theme makes me feel old. But also nostalgic. It's crazy to think I've been playing this game for 9 years. This game is my child lol.
I was 7 when I started playing destiny, this year I’m turning 17 and oh my god is it a rollercoaster hearing all these title screens again
Vanilla D1 and D2, Forsaken, and Beyond Light title screens always give me chills!
:)
Man the things I would do to experience destiny 1 for the first time again.
For real, to have a crew again and relive those memories ❤
An entire Decade.
It's been a privilege.
Here's hoping for another ten more years.
Eyes up Guardians.
Light fall and beyond lights are fire
everytime i hear the OG Destiny 1 intro music and title screen, i shed a tear. this game truly changed my life. im so grateful for the experiences ive had over the past decade
wouldnt change it for anything
I spent HOURS in The Witch Queen login screen. The theme is awesome.
The Rise of Iron soundtrack and startup screen is the GOAT. So many great memories, great friends I have made. This game really got me thru some tough times in my life, I’m am so grateful for bungie for making such a great game that stuck with us guardians for this long.
Been years since i have listened to the og d1 music. Nostalgia bumps man
Was expecting something more upbeat & cyberpunk than what we got for lightfall
True mate, I was very surprised when I heard the usual like theme.
It still subverted expectations a little bit
More from lightfall pretty much sums up quite a bit from that expansion
my gosh the nostalgia from hearing the original title screen 😭😭
I was part of the original alpha group for the first D1, and while I haven't enjoyed the game's content in a long while I'll still come back to the music every now and then to reminisce in the good ol' days of OG Vog, pocket infinity and that sweet sound of an exotic dropping from a nightfall.
18:20 the best one so far it made cry for the nostalgia :,)
It just hits different
You will be missed Cayde-6
@@notwaveryjackson9845 No he will not. HE. IS. BACK. BABY.
@@paracausal lets goooooo
I know it most likely will not, but man if The Final Shape has a return to form and uses the classic theme from vanilla D1 (maybe updated a little bit but kept it's simple musical progression), that would be incredible.
Fr
Been playing since taken king, but those warmind horns gotta be in consideration for my favorite opening. So ominous!
yeah man it’s crazy how time goes by so fast I remember waking up early to play for a little bit before school
vanilla will always hit
At 37:58 seems after our toughest battle, we continue to push forward and never back down from a fight.
I hope at some point they give us the option to choose which splash screen we want to see on start-up. I know it's kind of a niche silly request but I miss some of these.
I would set it to Beyond Light and never change it lol
LIGHTFALL is a stress reliever
I remember getting the game a month or so before foresaken came out. I was like 12. The Warmind theme jumpscared me so hard
I started destiny on The Taken King And That Theme And Menu Brings me nostalgia, i met.my best buddy on this era. Nostalgia
I started playing Destiny a few days after it released but lost interest in it and didn't get back into it until the taken King released. When the taken King came out I moved away on my own and started dating a girl and the relationship lasted all the way until beyond light came out. Going back and hearing all The load screen music reminds me of a different part of my life that I want to go back in time to appreciate more. Life feels a lot different now. Sometimes life feels better and other times I wish I could go back. Destiny has been a big part of my life and the music in this game invokes feelings like no other
Always loved the Beyond Light music
Hearing OG Destiny track gave me chills
D1 year 1 will ALWAYS be my golden time of destiny. Nothing will ever compete with the nostalgia
Man all the themes were phenomenal. I started playing during shadowkeep and I have savathûns song forever ingrained in my head cause of that expansion. Especially when between beyond light and shadowkeep we had the song everywhere and it was building to something greater
This being said beyond light has the best one here, in my opinion, right next to Witch Queen. Beyond Lights bells combined with the tracks triumphant mixture of darkness motif into light is so fascinating to me and I always found myself sitting on the menu screen until the full words "Beyond Light" formed on the menu cause the sync between the chime and them loading was so cathartic to me. Then the fact that beyond lights opening theme can be played BACK TO BACK with Look within (final song in soundtrack for BL) is just the cherry on top for the soundtrack and music as a whole. Great storytelling in just the music alone.
Witch Queen is a banger due to the incredible motifs, call backs and more. The very loading screen has the same notes as shadow keeps and I thought it was great they incorporated Savathûns original theme into this remixed light version as I see it. (The shadow keep opener and witch queen opener have the same like note progression, just scaled differently)
The first soundtrack, ahhh mennn, IS Magic
d1 vanilla (A tier) - sounds like i just woke up from a long coma after decades, and i have so much to explore and learn, such a nostalgic piece 0:13 🥺
taken king (S tier) - the taken king title theme was probably one of the most shocking yet beautiful pieces i've listened to, i thought destiny was all about action and adventure, and i thought crota was just a hindrance, but turns out i was mistaken, his father's presence and reveal never scared me more, that title screen still gets me to this day, especially at 5:35 🤯
rise of iron (S tier) - oh my...those voices are so beautiful 6:47, felt like i was ascending fr, this is undoubtedly the most fun i had in d1, except from the campaign, every thing about this dlc was solid, especially the music, it's so triumphant and heroic, this is the vibe i usually get from playing destiny
d2 vanilla (S+ tier) - now, hear me out, 2017 was a problem and a half, but let's be real, the main theme for d2 vanilla is one of the most impactful and sensational themes in the entire franchise 8:30, it's a breath of fresh air, it signifies despair, hope, loss, bravery, sacrifice, and even death. so many emotions in this piece, i really wished we got the red war back... :(
curse of osiris (A- tier) - heavy assassin's creed vibes, despite the dlc as a whole, the music for CoO was amazing, the strings were so majestic and everything about mercury was mysterious even tho we got nothing out of it. 15:08 went HARD wtf 🥵🥶
warmind (A tier) - jumpscare alert 16:00, easily one of my favourite title themes AND dlcs, i enjoyed warmind a lot, but something about the music never made me feel more powerful than ever, the brass literally made me feel that i could just ride a worm god fr, such a majestic and powerful track especially at18:03
forsaken (S tier) - oh boy, here we go!!! this is the perfect combination of despair and vengeance, best dlc we have ever got, the first section is full of our anger and hatred towards uldren sov 18:26, but the other half is a tease of what's behind this dlc, the dreaming city, an ethereal and elegant yet cursed city, it's heartbreaking but so beautiful whenever i explore the dreaming city 20:41
shadowkeep (A- tier) - ok hear me out, hear me out, no one liked shadowkeep, but we can't deny that the title screen music was BANGING, it sent shivers down my spine, felt like another classic HIVE-themed dlc which i'm all in for, this part is such a wonderful piece of music 22:16, i also loved how they teased savathun's song
beyond light (A- tier) - another eh dlc, but the music never ceased to dissappoint me, the first hint at the darkness motif, another spine-chilling dlc but with a LOT of signs that beyond light is a new era of destiny, it truly is the beginning of the DARKNESS era, where we question, is darkness really evil, or are they offering us peace? it's another great track, personally it wasn't one of my favs cos it took way too long to cook just like shadowkeep's, but it made me cry 30:32
witch queen (A+ tier) - imo, this is a major upgrade from the taken king theme 31:35 which also slightly resembles/links to oryx's theme, no build up needed even tho she is the goddess of cunning, such a powerful, tense and emboding piece of music that shows us that savathun will take all of our power and brains to defeat 31:52, she is a POWERFUL villain, and her motif clearly indicates that killing her will be nearly IMPOSSIBLE, easily the best campaign in the entire franchise with the best/hardest campaign boss i have ever played, also her story was INSANE, incredible writing for a 'villain' bungie, i hope she returns, such a good character, she shows more emotions than most human characters especially at 34:27, clearly showing that she has humanity inside her, and she wasn't a villain, but more of an ally to us, but in the most cunning way possible since it's the purpose of her existence, there is no antagonist in destiny that u can sympathise with more than her
lightfall (A+ tier) - sense of hope, whenever i hear the choirs, it tells a story, the music portrays what's likely to happen in the story as it is a clash between the lightfall motif and the witness theme, it is clearly indicating war and conflict, work painting and foreshadowing goes insane, and i love how it was threatening and foreboding but it changes to peaceful and surreal at 37:57, then becomes heroic at 38:35. this motif is arguably my favourite and most beautiful musical melodies of this entire franchise, such a divine piece of music, it's literally never been like this b4, salvatori has stepped up his game after the pandemic, love that guy so much!!
idk y i made a critique on every title screen music, but i hope u enjoyed them lol
Ranking the original theme at A tier should be a crime
I like how the title cards went from being white to being black. Showing the beginning being light and the end being darkness
Seeing and hearing the D2 vanilla screen brought back some pleasant memories of my introduction to destiny as a series. Red War is probably still my favorite campaign, the sights and massive set pieces were just something to behold
I loved playing d1 especially with all the great soundtracks that came with the dlc
It’s been a wonderful journey with you all
I hope do a remix of the d1 theme in the final shape, you have no idea how emotional people would get if they had been playing the game since launch day
You reminded me of my memories. Thank you for your video
It is my honour Guardian
Holy shit, shadowkeeps theme goes ahrd as fuuuuck
shadowkeep 💪🏼💪🏼
All destiny 1 for me, Forsaken, Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, for sure Lightfall, ohh well All of them to be honest :D
The taken king was my favorite
Thank you for doing this so quick
You are welcome Guardian, its my favourite video so far.
The D1 Vanilla and Forsaken themes made me tear up. Sooooo much nostalgia
I dont know why but the betond light theme feels like glory in a theme. The determination and toyong with emotions is so good.
Gotta hear these bangers before Final Shape.
My guardian has died and came back to life so many times ( meaning I took a BUNCH of hiatus) and even tho he’s long gone, the memories man…
A decade ago, the light and darkness saga began.
Lots of memories made with friends found and lost, raids done and failed and amazing loot and exotics recieved.
Now, a decade later the story will conclude.. but how? Will de darkness win or lose? Who will die this time instead of cayde?
What memories will we make and what'll come next...
This game will hold a special place for a long time
A mixture of Inner light (vanilla d2) and the main guardian theme (vanilla d1) needs to be a part of the final shapes main theme
Every time I hear the vanilla opening I get goosebumps. It takes me back to when I played destiny all day after school.
the fact i had to sit and listen to it everytime because my 360 took ages to load the game
Holy shit boys it been almost 10 years 😢. All those memories and hours weeks days months and years spent on this game. All is og’s especially know how big of a chunck this game has had on our lives. It scares me to ever think when destiny will have its final update. I hope never but that’s now possible. Keep grinding guardians
All of these are certified bangers
I've been playing since the original beta for destiny 1 back in 2013 or whenever and the one that still hits the hardest for me is forsaken. It's so good man I really wish we had the option to change between different ones or if maybe it shuffled it every once in a while idk I love those themes
Man... The Taken King brings me back to the good days with my old friends and how i used to do the raids with them
Eyes up guardians.
I started playing right around the middle of taken king expansion so that music still sound rlly cool to me
I remember everything, I still get teared up about all of this, I got the game a year or two after release because I couldn’t buy call of duty yet due to my protective mother (which I got in secret weeks later lol) but I saw this game in the clearance section in GameStop and I convinced her it was just killing robots, and that’s how it all started, I beat the first game 4 times, with different characters I made backstory’s and themes to, the second game 3 times, the music after defeating the black heart as the speaker gives that speech with you on the balcony, given the weapon and after it all flying off made me legitimately tear up, still does even more now due to the memories, I remember the grinding, all the hours grinding for the black spindle, the whisper of the worm, the Monte Carlo, the ace of spades, the vex sniper, that husk smg, everything you could do I did or at least attempted to do, and all of that required your team to be on their a game, all of them, everyone had a job that they couldn’t fail at any second, and I loved all of it, wish I had a crew now to do it again❤ to hear those trumpets one more time
THAT FRENCH HORN THO!!!! 00:10
Shadow keel will always hit different to me since it reminds me so much of the COD:Infinite Warfare multiplayer theme and that’s my favorite cod even tho I never played it much, it was so unique
All started with Taken King for me and the title screen there will hold a special place but it doesn't top Beyond Light's choice of music for the title. I'm amazed that I've stuck around with Destiny for as long as I have. Feels good to be hyped about this franchise again with Lightfall in the same way it got me interested with Taken King.
37:58 👍👍😇 that harmonic is powerful.
something about oryx’s soundtrack bro shit is so sexy and the dude was just a badass boss, honestly bungie 10/10 job stupendous, shit makes me mad hard
That thud in the original D1 title gets me every time.
I started playing destiny 2 when it started, my friends sent me a video with the gameplay/storyline from destin 1 to fully understand whats going on. I got extremely hooked on this game. After listening to the openings makes me want to play again. 😁
The D1 Vanilla Theme (and Taken King) leaves me with heartaches since I played it since it came out. I've seen the beginning, and I'll see the end.
hearing the destiny 1 theme again always gets me man
One of my favourite things from the recent title screens, is how they went back to having the DLC icon there. For some reason, it's something I always missed
Warmind, forsaken, and witch queen are best in that order imo
28:09 the best one yet.
Been here since the beginning, still standing for the end
I still remember the day i fell in love with Destiny 1 theme ❤️
Started playing when dark below dropped. How far this game has come is insane.
So many memories but personally for me i like the shadow keep title and the taken king title the best. Just the intros make me happy
The original one never loses its touch
Can’t believe I started playing destiny 2weeks after release such a great game
It's crazy to think how the songs fit so perfectly into the game. It's Destiny's identity, in my opinion.
That rise of iron theme hits hard as heck
For me, I started by playing Destiny 2, it was my first ever shooter game, and I never experienced anything like its worlds before. I've only played zombies at a couple of friends' houses, but never seen anything like Destiny's planets. Unlocking the sparrow, visiting a new planet, getting my first exotic, and so many other memories.
I remember pulling an all nighter in my college freshman dorm when my 2 roommates were sleeping, and just listening to the Rise of Iron menu to get in the queue. The og theme definitely is the most nostalgic for me but my personal experience doing wrath day one was magical
ah yes listening to my 10 year journey
my favorite is the taken king screen. it’s when i started playing, so it gives me ultra nostalgia
but also, CoO is my favorite dlc besides WQ, so
Original D1 player here from the release. So many good songs have been made for this series. Hoping for something truly epic when The Final Shape comes out. (Side note, D2 VANILLA SCREEN OF DEATH!!!)
D1 vanilla just hits hardest feels the best and takes evreyone back
started in rise of iron and still playing so I’m ready for final shape
Rise of Iron's theme is so fucking good. It really fits that expansion with how it kind of sounds like something from a medieval film.
Bro I'm cry. I lost my best destiny buddy, we play the game from start 😢
I hope they bring back the original theme for Final shape bro
I joined back in January 2017, and RoI title theme awakens a lot of memories
I like how before shadow keep its light and then after it there all dark symbolizes that the darkness is consuming us
I never get tired of hearing this 37:58
