- 2021 Chevy Spark is a great little budget car. It is as basic as it gets BUT that isn't really a bad thing.
Less electronics to more reliable a car will be, typically.

I waited 6 months for delivery of my 2022 LS with 5 speed. I'm in love with this car. Going to the grocery store feels like I'm driving in a rally. Driven conservatively, I could probably get 40 mpg, but I average about 35. It's a hoot! Oh, and a set of good snows cost me $900 out the door.
I can deal with everything about this car including the manual crank windows...but what I can not is the manual side view mirrors. Flashbacks of sitting in the passenger seat as a kid and my dad yelling at me "THE OTHER WAY!!!" as he's in trying to adjust his passenger side mirror
The car is so narrow it’s not a big deal. You can easily reach the passenger side if you need to occasionally adjust it.
🤣😂 Thanks for bringing back that old memory
@@jonathanpusar5931 I also got the ls model with manual everything (except mine is cvt). Those car review websites are so snooty about power locks and windows and mirrors but I agree with you, I don't see the point of having those on a car this size. Best of all, the advantages of manual controls is its less battery drain AND less stuff to go wrong 😊
@@resetsetmefree478 I agree. I got the CVT version in 21 and I'm fine with it. Got 17 thousand on it so far and it's going great. The only thing is the mileage claims. I'll belive 38 when I see it. Maybe if you're crawling along at 65 without AC, but that's not possible in Phoenix where I live. I average 29 to 32. Would probably get up to 35 highway if it was winter and I was taking it slow.
Umm no disrespect but maybe therapy would do you good.
I bought a brand new one a year ago and I love it!!!!! I hear they are not making them anymore.
I have a 2020 spark I love it. No issues I’ve had it about two years now.
You can lay the seats flat. You can flip up the bottom of the seat and remove the headrest.
Bought 2021 Spark LT2 in Jan 2021 has been a great car and is very reliable. I removed the back seat to carry cargo and it holds quite a bit.
Did the Spark cut corners? Yes, it cuts so many corners that this car Is a sphere.
I own 2020 LS manual. Fun to drive and well built.
Yes everybody says the manual stickshifts are plenty of fun to drive and a Spark of joy 😊how's yours turning out?
good review presentation
There are people going 168k on these cars with proper maintenance and on these you have to do CVT fluid every 30K . I did some of my homework and I am going to purchase one of these lil guys.
That’s what I am saying 🙏 good luck on your search!
I thought the cvt was a sealed unit?? If so, there's no way to change the fluid. I'm getting mixed reports on this topic
@@dougroberts3643 I haven’t heard of any CVTs not being able to swap the trans fluid. If so, they probably aren’t meant to last
Got 202k miles on Hyundai Veloster with only oil changes. Never once changed transmission fluid on it.
best purchase ever! get me to work cheap! 😎👍
Be nice if it had the power train of the 1.4 buick encore especially with AWD .
"Less to break" should be listed on the window sticker under options available.
Have same color manual i like it just fine for all the reasons everyone doesnt
Nissan versa note is a must buy too
I had this base model in purple. I even told the dealer that I didn't want the base model. I traded it in after 2 months. I hated the manual door locks, mirrors, and windows.
When I move to Mexico, I’ll get this car for fun 😊
Interesting accent, what country are you from?
However my windshield cracked twice this month and they’re not from rocks
Price?
I have one there great little cars
5:05 how are you selling a car and not even research how to lay the back seats flat? They have alot of steps but definitely lay flat. But I do enjoy mine, and with the CVT she holds 140kmph at about 3k RPM no problem on the highway, she won't go over about 182kmph tho, that's well maintained tho where she drives straight hands free at 140.
This car is Junk, but I love your video's keep up the great work my man
lmao, I appreciate it man!
So you had trouble with the one you bought ?
For a 2021 model they really cheaper out on the tech too
i am about to got mine next week with a manual transmission
Manual 🙏
Did you order one or buy a used one?
@@dougroberts3643 brand new, apparently. the Spark is still available for purchase in the Philippine Market.
What's the price?
Like with anything else the price can and does vary depending on where you live and the dealer. I'm in a major city in the usa where everything's expensive so considering the final out the door price, it was no longer a "cheap" car 🙄
you said it had 7,000 846,000 miles hahahhahha
Best deal I ever got I’m not gonna lie. I’m sad they’re discontinued. I’m just a gal trying to get to work, fish, n back.
This is the car I want and everyone’s telling me to get a Honda civic
Civic will be more dependable.
This isn’t a bad car though! It’s all down to your preference
i have 54k on mine now with out missing a beat, average 41 mpg, its a basic transportation car but does that very well
I just feel like these are horrible to drive?
I have driven in worst, but its relatively bad for a 2021 car.
@@AutoMotivateWhat about the Mirage?
No. I have 17K on mine and I'm perfectly happy with it. Guess it depends on your age and maturity though. I'm 55 and have driven mostly Mercedes Benz's and Cadillac's etc most of my life. I'll have another one of those again for sure. But there is nothing wrong with the way these drive. Unless you have the mental level of a 12 year old with your head screwed on crooked under your ball cap worried about your dick size.
🤣@@petercollingwood522
Ah! My Jew brain is taking over, and I'm starting to like this car.
That’s exactly why I bought it 6 years ago 😂😂
For real: it’s been an amazing value. $10.6k OTD and have only done oil changes and replaced tires. That’s it. Incredibly reliable and I don’t see a reason to replace it anytime soon. Even when/if I have a family I can see it still as a 2nd car vs getting rid of it. It’s just too reliable and fun to drive.
I’ve driven it cross country twice to give perspective of the kind of driving I’ve done on it. Over 60k miles so far.
The biggest critique is the boot…it’s very small, even for its class. If I’m doing a big Costco run I often need to use the backseat in addition to the trunk. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind if you’re using it as a family car.
Another thing to keep in mind: it’s rated to carry just 660lb…so if you are on the heavy side I dont recommend it. I once had a friend of mine who weighed 400lb in the passenger seat…and you could see the suspension dip dramatically. Had to drive very carefully to not damage my car as altogether with another adult in the backseat it was about 820lb
Final caveat: there’s more rear room in the passenger backseat than the driver if you’re tall. I’m 6-2 so I push the driver seat back as far as possible, and the backseat on my side is only useful for either a small adult or child. Passenger side though is roomy enough for a full sized adult even when that front side is fully extended.
These are very popular in a lot of the 3rd world because of its reliability. So if you’re just looking for good value and fun city car it’s easily the best bargain in NA that doesn’t feel like a penalty box (*coughmirage*)
@@jonathanpusar5931 Too bad they're only available used right now, I would only consider it brand new.
@@FxckRacism get it used then lol. A year used is practically new anyway. This is actually my 2nd one: the first one I had was totaled by an 18 wheeler after just 6 months, but I got back from the insurance more than it was new 😂 My current one was 1 year old when I bought it for around 9k fully loaded. The only thing I wished was to have manual again, but the CVT is pretty good especially after a free dealer update a couple years back.
They depreciate hard, so you should be able to get these pretty cheap.
@Jonathan Pusar Sounds good, but have you considered a Mercedes with massage seats? Could be worth it
@@FxckRacism a used Mercedes is asking for lots of maintenance costs.
I mean you’re comparing the lowest tier car in Chevrolet’s offering to a luxury car that’s 5-7x the price new. Of course a Mercedes will be nicer…but it depends on what you want and need. Personally, having a large car is a liability in a city anyway.
I’m just taking as one cheap Jew to another 🤣
Also out of principal I don’t buy German cars for obvious reasons, but that’s a different story.
Fortunately I've never needed a new car that bad. Better off taking the money and buy a used Camry. That thing would get totaled by a headon with a motorcycle.
