Great video and flying! I built your $150 budget build about a month ago and it’s been super fun to fly. It’s been helpful to have so many “beginner” videos on UA-cam, but I would love to see a “first upgrades” video as well, for example, which component is the best to upgrade for better video, range, changing between 4S and 6S batteries, etc. I’m using an Eachine Nano 400mW VTX, Caddex Ratel V2 camera, and EV800D goggles with included antennas, and I think better video would be the first upgrade that would be helpful, but I have no idea which component would improve that the most. Love the $150 build though, it’s been working great for me, and I’ve had a ton of fun with it!
4s and 6s will not have any determination for your VTX choice any decent VTX will be rated from 5v to 24+v when it comes to analog receivers its all about the MW output and Antenna. Higher the MW 1000mw or 1w will give you better penetration and signal then say a 400mw VTX. When it comes to Analog Camera TVL the higher the number the better but its analog so even with a higher TVL say 1200 or 1500 you will still not get the same video quality as a digital platform IE DJI, or HDzero.
I loved your comment on the hybrid 5 to 7 inch I have a 5" and a 7" I built a 6" after JBs review of the Evoque 6" and it is absolutely the best of both worlds. Now I know you bought a BNF but I will say tuning my 6" took quite a few more flights and lots of Blackbox to get it dialed in. other then that I fly that Quad more then either of my 5" or 7"
I have been flying this drone more than my digital quads. I really love how it flies. Dying to throw a vista unit in it!
@@TRONCATFPV I have been considering pulling my vista out of my 5 and putting it in the 6" I say go for it!

Awesome stuff man👍🏽I have been in the hobby for a lil over a year now and I'm still learning tons of stuff my bday is coming up and I'm treating myself to my first 5 or 6 inch quad and with all the options out I don't know what to get lol I'm looking for something just like this that can fly long range as well as freestyle I don't fly long range but I would use it for the penetration factor lots of trees where I fly 1w is perfect! Can't wait to see you test the vtx👍🏽✌🏽
This would be a gnarly 5in frame for the 03 air unit. 6 also but I'd like to see a 5in.
This is my next quad. I have a 2, 4, and a 5 inch quad(s). I have a feeling this may become my favorite. I have a runcam on my 5 inch but i own a hero 10. Do you think this 6 inch could handle a full size gopro?
There's a preset in betaflight 4.3 for that vtx, when I got mine I just had to choose the preset and it set everything up

I think VTXs dont ship with the tables set up because some of the channels are restricted in some countries
Hey mate, how do you like that Insta 360 RS? Wondering I'd it could be powered via lipo power with a step down converter or something and lose the battery and make a custom 3D printed mount? Would be super nice if that would work.
I dont think anything like that exists for this camera but would be pretty cool to have. insta360 could probably make some sort of sleeve that connects to just the lens and could turn the camera into a session style form factor camera then have a couple pads that could connect to a power source.
