Thank you so much. I bought a used Stihl FSE 60 from a Rental company that was closing down and they showed me how to load the string but I am so grateful to have a reminder.
Just ordered one. I've been waiting for an improved AK version and this seems like the one...one piece "non-adjustable" shaft (that feature was silly), variable speed trigger, speed-feed style head with .095 capability and more power. I called Stihl regarding this and the new FSA 86 R which has a motor/head assembly looking suspiciously similar to this one; turns out it is exactly the same; the only difference is that it is AP-powered as opposed to this one being AK-powered. I'm into both battery lines but I'll take the weight savings on this one anytime. Thanks for your review.
So would you recommend this over the 86R? I have the AP mower and have been considering the 86R. It it the same power as the 60R with an AP battery? Could save some money with the 60R kit, and open up myself to two different systems (but with the same charger) especially it means I won’t always need to spend a premium on a similar AP machine. Seems like the 86R would have better battery life though especially if you already have ap300s batteries. I’m torn 😢
I’ve been running the Stihl showroom for an outdoor power equipment firn for 4 years. The sliding shaft on the FSA 56-57 was a big selling feature with elderly customers. I tried that size but while a good little trimmer it was too little for my trimming chores. The FSA 60 has the same string head as the gas powered curved shaft Stihl trimmers. I wish it was the venerable 25-2 head found on gas straight shaft units but Stihl asks you to jump to the AP battery family for that. Holding high hopes for the 60, I have to go cordless for health reasons and $300 for that bundle is a dear amount to me.
I could not find the dot but continued to try with the two arrows lined up.This was a new machine, first line change, myy daughter, who had been shown by the shop how to do it, a neighbour who is usually handy at sorting these things and I could not get the line to go through. I persisted, then suddenly it went through, I have no idea what I did any different but altogether it took about 2 hours of fiddling about to achieve it. Hope the spell is broken for next time. Otherwise its a great little machine and not too heavy.
Instead of doing a video on the bg 50 maybe could you do a video on the bg 86. I was was going to buy the 50 but the 86 seemed more up my ally since it’s commercial and had some really cool features
@@Carlsmower it’s a great video, I really wanted the 86 and the guy who was selling it didn’t respond and I never got to pick it up😢 but I found a bg 65 for sale and I might pick that one up. Is that one discontinued? And is it commercial?

On the trimmer, it does not work to line up the arrow with the dot. However, it does work to line up the white and black arrows.

Video saved me returning it - the battery clunks further in!
That one’s awesome . I have the Fs 70 straight shaft and I enjoy it a lot !
Thanks. Helped me out.
What's the stork on the side of the loop handle for?
Some loop handles don't have them, some do.
Great video. Have you tried this as an edger? Isn't very comfortable at all to hold upside down.
The trigger can be cumbersome upside down

Oops my bad there already is a video on that model😝
Is it good enough or do we need a reshoot?

bG65 is a previous generation machine. Great unit. It was "semi commercial" Here are the specs.
.9 bhp
430 cfm
174 mph
@@Carlsmower thanks
I see you already have the new fsa 135 r 😏 can't wait to see a vid on that!
Coming soon. And did you check out our KMA135 video. Will be similar to the FSA135.
For the price wold u get a dedicated weedeater or get a Comby system
I’m a fan of the Kombi system.
i lined them up but still can't get the line through
Maybe spin 1° right or left.
@@Carlsmower Are we going into the single hole or the 3 square hole section? Sorry we have been trying this for months now lol
on the grey part i mean
@@Carlsmower Well we lined the 4 arrows up and it went in fine after watching another person that showed us how to do it!!
I had to line up the triangle. If you watch the video carefully, so did he. ☺️

Thank you. That has happened. Just sometimes technical difficulties.
@@Carlsmower Great, no worries then. Technical problems happen. Cheers!
@@mistral-unizion-music I really appreciate feedback and only wish to get better.
The ego has a button to fill the string. Get with the program Stihl!
Good luck getting that repaired when it goes down.

Straight up there's too many brands too many batteries too much confusion what's getting mowed is the consumer!
It’s amazing how many companies are now into lawn care equipment. And most of them have no after sales support.
Solo soldi buttati
It's better to use..80 line. Battery lasts longer and you get more in the reel
Thanks for the tip 👍
