This is the first video I've caught in the challenge, but I love this sort of eWaste recycling - and I cringe at saying that, because it's my jam.
I like pushing lower end hardware through clever utilization - I'm currently working on a $100 (US) challenge for a computer... and I've made some weird decisions, that I have to live with - I've chosen to play in business class boards and weird power solutions.
I used to play with Xeons... old Xeons, LOL.
Cool series, subscribed.
It's very good to see these parts still be useful for Budget builds instead of just being e-waste.
Nothing seems to check thrown away here lol. Love getting the old stuff back out and making it do things again.
Picked up a £70 GTX1080 last week and thought about this challenge! still not sure if it was quite cheap enough but it's maybe possible.
This one seems pretty good, it's impressive how well Cyberpunk runs these days
Lets go Im a sucker for slapping together some qustionable second hand hardware and seeing how much I can soup it up in bios before the weak link shows up and seeing if there is a work around
I think the week spot in the build is the CPU, a 7th gen i7 would be much better and worth the extra money.
2nd place, nice!
It's so interesting seeing the lists come out and trying to guess how well things do and then being surprised due to some imbalance somewhere.
Aww man thought it might do a bit better but not bad at all. Thanks again. Great video. Love how you change settings to see what's needed to make it playable before doing the final default test to compare.
Awesome man. Hopefully I can stay in 2nd
I'll take that.
Always like to see what a card / setup can do with some tweaking, sometimes a standard pre-set doesn't give them justice, although it's needed for a comparison.
It was the CPU that held it make from what I saw. Thanks for taking part buddy.
so i upgraded to 4k! but...now i need better GPU and need to move from AM4 to LGA 1700 or 1851 because TPM goes crazy along with wi-fi 🤔 soo...13900KS will do the job?! well...i will find out soon...maybe😂if i decide to wait for new CPUs am5 or LGA 1851 does not really matter to me but i like iGPUs on Intel chips hmm these chips should be sold with some salsa like chipotle or something even more spicy
lol
lol
since droping comments helps the video getting referenced and i have nothing else to say ... do you think i can build a gaming for video editing (1080p/ 1440p low effects mostly low to now animations and at most 40 min long'to be specefic on what low work loads mean') / unity 3d work loads (i wanna learn game developement) for 400 / 450$ (i can get used gpu and dirt cheap aliexpress cpu from trust worthy reseller)
@@malik-mahdi I can’t see why not tbh. I used to do all my editing on a Ryzen 7 1700 and encoded everything on the CPU. Just have to be patient with exporting etc which I used to just click go and leave it running.
@@TechLabUK for video editing i know a ryzen 7 2700x or 3700x will do it but is it enough for 3D and game desiegn (i won't use UE5 cuz im against good looking lifeless AAA games)
@@malik-mahdiI reckon for video editing, game development, and gaming a ryzen 5 1500x with a AMD Rx 570. would be perfect and make more sense. and it wouldn't cost you a fortune either.
What would it take to become a you choose I build contestant? I certainly wouldn't mind participating. I've seen some right bargains on eBay
