+Jay Bates thanks Jay it took about 4-5 hours using the saw but i worked on it for a little bit after work each day thanks for the nice comment Jay
Patrick, great job on the clock. Keep up the good videos. I want to make one, did you use melamine? If so, did you paint the cutouts black, I can't see any wood in your cut outs.
Nice work Patrick! I'll be doing some scroll saw work soon too. Will you be at the Atlanta convention too?
+SouthernGinger hey SG i wont be able to make the show this year I hope to next time
cant wait to see ur scroll work videos thanks for commenting and watching
+Patrick's work shop Ah, man we are gonna miss you!
Pat I have a logo or branding label that I am working on I may do it on my scroll saw meaning I liked the blades the way they work I may ask for some recommendation on them when I am ready it looks like you used a thin and a thick blade to finish the job?
I don't scroll saw but I probably will have to this summer. A relative saw some scroll saw boxes and now wants me to make them some. So I'm probably gonna see a harbor freight scroll saw in my shop soon. Can a harbor freight scroll saw be re-fitted with those spiral blades like you used? I enjoyed your video very much! Good to see you making videos again, bro!
+KSFWG hi Dave im not to familiar with the harbor freight saw ill ask Sterling Davis he has one and ill get back at ya
thanks for watching see ya
Well done Patrick very cool...
What type of scroll saw do you have?,,, been thinking of upgrading mine...
+Wacky Wood Works i used a old Delta i borrowed from my brother i didnt have one for non pinned blades but a new one is on the ever growing list thanks for watching
Very cool Patrick, how much time in scroll work does it have?
+UBWoodman i did this over several nights after work ,it was a simple pattern compared to others that
Charles Dearing has on his website check it out woodenvisions.com
Wow great video! That must've taken a lot of patients to cut all of that stuff out. Great job! I just got a scroll saw, but what blades would you recommend buying? Like how thin and should I get spiral blades?
+The Russian Woodworker thanks for watching im not a scrolling pro but it depends on the saw you have and the project i used #5 flying duchman spiral blade and they work great for the tight cuts and curves but for straight cuts i would use a straight blades there is a link to the blades in the description
thanks so much for asking and watching
+Patrick's work shop ok thank you so much I'll check out the Flying Dutchman blades
How is that spiral blade working for you? I have used them before but can't get the hang of them. Awesome clock BTW. Did you make the hands too or did they come with the clock as well? Thanks for sharing.
+frehleycomet hi and thanks for watching im new to the spiral blades but i like them and not having to turn the wood i guess i can say cut slow till u get used to the way the blade tracks and dont force the cut
the clock movement and hand was from amazon ill post a link in the description thanks for watching
