- The Pathfinder Platinum is the top trim from Nissan. On the outside you will discover a beautiful blu pain job, 20in wheels and raised roof rails. On the inside you will be greeted by a leather interior, 9in infotainment system and 12.3in digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 3.5L V6 that is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. I needed a vehicle with a fully adjustable front passenger seat for my wifes back issue. Only the Pathfinder and Highlander have that option. No Hondas or Kia's do. And the Pathfinder had a WAY better interior than the Highlander, so went with the Pathfinder SL.
Nice👌Seems like lately Nissan has been the intelligent choice. They’re reasonably priced, they’re high quality, they’re dependable, with a great warranty, and the seats in just about any Nissan across the board are SO COMFORTABLE!
Not so reliable, cheaper quality and resale value compared to other Japanese rivals. But a okay choice if you’re only going to own in short term
@@brettsuddreth5171 Not so sure about that. The doors on Toyotas are SO flimsy and light weight. Hondas up to their 2022 models had like 100 recalls. My uncle and my friend had a 2017 CRV and a 2019 CRV and both literally died before 60k miles... Toyotas are still at least reliable but Hondas these days are not Honda of old, id say just as bad as Land Rover and Chevy if not worse.
@@siptang81 lmao not accurate at all
@@siptang81 KBB just gave Honda six accolades for 24 including “best overall brand and best value brand - nobody in the automotive world agrees with that opinion if your family’s CRV’s wasn’t holding up then they must’ve not been taking care of them.

Nice powertrain. Well balanced. I think Nissan hit it out of the park with this one. Gotta love that blue paint. ☮️💙👍👍
I am glad it doesn’t have that awful CVT, I must drive one and see if it fits our needs. I am impressed with Joe’s review of this SUV
I have 2024 platinum pathfinder in blue but with the black leather and the black grille and black pathfinder letters is an up charge and doesn’t come from factory that way and i always thought the platinum trim came with fog lights automatically that was what i was told im really surprised not to see them on this vehicle mine has them. I agree on the headliner i think it should be black as well and i love mine I’ve had it now for 3 months its perfect.
Mine is the pearl gray, has fog lights but they are an added accessory so that’s a zonk frankly.
Joe, I do love the All new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder & I think this is a dandy of an SUV.
I recently purchased a 2024 Nissan Sentra SV in Atlantic Grey Metallic and I love the car this Pathfinder is sharp this is much better than the previous generation. You have to give yourself a zonk with the front turn signals.😂 Thank you Joe for reviewing this and the 2024 Sentra and Steven thank you for the camera work as always!
Would there be a purpose for a single person to own a Pathfinder?
@@scifirealism5943no there wouldn't be I don't need anything of that size for me and my wife
@@bryanwashington9511 oh okay cool.
I heard that Nissan plans on revamping their entire lineup. I hope we get to see what the 2025 Murano and Armada bring to the table.
It would make sense if you look at what’s coming from Infiniti
They need to bring back the Xterra
Armada is being a Twin-turbo V6 and a revamped exterior. There are pictures online.
they’re going to go with a v6 with the new armada
@@tylerlumpkin8869The new 3.8L TTV6 in the 2025 QX80 makes 450 hp. Armada version will be close to that.
Nissan did a good job with this 👍
Edison was in the front signal also
I'm not a big fan of Honda, but my sister has a new Honda Pilot and it has a really good ride, comfortable seats, rides high, and I feel safe in it.
Epic.
The Honda pilot is in another class compared to the Nissan.
Bro’s dirty jokes and naming different foods are too funny lmao
I’m fond of both the Pilot and Pathfinder (they’re def my two favorites in the segment) although from what I hear/see the Pilot is sportier and the Pathfinder is more upscale, can’t go wrong with either for sure
I just got a Pathfinder SL and looked at Highlanders and Pilots first. Interior wise the Highlander and Pilots seemed very cheap compared to the Pathfinder. My wife said the same thing.
@@hotpocket5501 yeah my choice in the segment would probs be a Pathfinder too, I’m fond of the MDX too but it’s more money than the Pathfinder
We bought this car because this and the pilot were the only midsize suv that offered top trim with luxury features and seated eight. Every other maker we looked at changed the second row bench to Captain chairs when you went to the top trim.
I find that incredibly annoying. Why not give customers that option? Not everyone wants captain's chairs on the top trim.
I'm with you. For my family of five, captains chairs are a no go. Sometimes you need to need to haul a lot of gear and the whole family and that just isn't possible in some of the competition.
That new sterring wheel is sexy
This is one of my two dream cars.
Nice reviews as always.
Led Turn Signal? 2:30 ... where 😂
I don't know which I would get but its nice that Nissan stepped it up with some very good improvements.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
Amazing review Joe.
❤ Thank you Joe and Stephen! ❤️
First ,and I just picked up a Mustang s650 black all black, 2024
Woohoo!!
Great review Joe, did your shorts come with the Pathfinder?
They should've squeezed a tweeter into that diamond door trim.
Love all your videos. Going to ask my Magic 8 Ball which mid-size SUV to get.
Yes of course Joe & I loved to buy this SUV.
I bought the the 2024 platinum Pathfinder pearl white with chestnut trim. Mine is a front wheel drive and " love it".
I’m hoping to get one soon. The Rockcreek trim
I luv this vehicle. Have rented a few & it’s truly fabulous & I think it looks great. If it weren’t for GM’s SUPER CRUISE, I’d buy this vehicle. Thanks Joe for another great review.
Nice interior color. Great ride.
I am glad that you approve.
You had me cracking up with the crappalappa latte.😂😂😂😂
Plenty here in London, I really like it
Looks good, love the color. Can't trust Nissan's CVT though. And c'mon Nissan, get with the program and use LEDs for your lights.
This one doesn’t have CVT.
It's a 9speed automatic
Good Grief read and listen to the specification before shooting off your mouth.
No mention of the cx-90?
Can you review the Maserati 2024 grancabrio
If you don’t want to go mini van, I’d much rather buy the Honda Pilot for a 3 row suv. Cousin has one and it’s not too bad, especially the 3rd row.
I got the platinum in Granite gray. It's absolutely beautiful inside and outside and rides like the dream. My brother bought the 2025 Pilot and it is equally nice in a lot of ways. The pilot is smooth driving and comfortable, as is the pathfinder. I would say the major difference is that the pathfinder is a little more luxurious where as the pilot has a slightly more sporty look. Interior space is nearly identical but the pilot has the edge for the extra storage bin in the back (which is massive on the pilot). Pathfinder seats and display are more comfortable and display is way nicer.
Like the body character of the older Pathfinders
We have the Gun Metal Gray Platinum… Four wheel drive. Tows 20% more than others in class and has a seven wire harness - that’ means trailers with electronic brakes. Seats and the electronics are really cool and it drives great! You can tow a pretty good sized boat or a smaller camper.
Someone in my family picked one of these up. I just drove it. The seats are super comfortable. Great for tall people too. The infotainment could use an upgrade.
Fenders should be colored match for the Plat for sure!
I will always love this iconic midsized SUV. 🔥💙
I’m in the market for a new vehicle and did look into the pathfinder. I checked it out at the Boston auto last week. There was 2 things I didn’t really care, nothing huge. On the 3rd row I didn’t like the shape of the headrest and didn’t like how the seatbelt on the 3rd row is there, when you put the row down
When you put the 3rd row down, there’s a clip on the side to insert the seat belt that way it’s not flapping around.
Good for you Steven :P
Best looking out of the 3
I actually like this car
nice overall midsize SUV. Love the interior. Zonk on fenders not being the same body color on a platinum trim.
Just leased on yesterday.
We really wanted a hybrid with today's gas prices that also had a lot of space. We're a one car household, so we also needed something super reliable. The Highlander was a no brainer for us, and we love it.
That makes sense.
I have a RAM Ecodiesel. Great mileage but worried about the longevity of the engine. I looked at mid size Nissan pickup and the rear seat was not big enough and thought, I dont need a pickup. This video has me going for the Pathfinder, but at about $18000 less.
I love nissan been in nissan family for over 30 yrs n I want this pathfinder because I agree it is better lookin than in the past but like your review Add fog Lites Same color car bumper N 😢 I want the brown seats but hate the light headlinder
Hey what's happening as long it's has a V-6 engine
This hood from 1987 I remember I was watch Ad on TV
My 2022 Pathfinder is full of electronic gremlins. Also be prepared to replace rear pads and rotors every 12-15k miles.
Get some akebono brake pads, get a jack and some stands and diy for $60. Problem solved, but ik a neighbor with the originals with 28k miles and still good.
@@JDMFR3AK akebono doesn’t make pads for this generation. Trust me I’ve checked. Same on the rotors. Can’t get quality aftermarket’s yet
Im ready for an pathfinder refresh base on the chinese concept
Probably a ways off. Tend to be more conservative for American cars!
Just hope you don't have to replace the fuel pump, memory seat module, front camera system, and the rear wiper motor like I did on my '23. Still under warranty, and thank God for it. I'd have been out some bucks. Had to reset the driver profiles a couple of times and it finally acts right with the correct fob. I hope my problems are over. The closer I get to 36k, I may really look into a Honda Passport.
Oh wow! That is crazy to hear!
Unfortunately they missed a few key details to keep them in the running. That front signal isn’t an LED. 🤦🏾♂️
Thanks for sharing that Robert!
They have totally reinvented the Nissan Pathfinder also joe I was born 1985
Not LED turn signals in front
Path finder is a good name for vehicle
The front end on my 2022 Pathfinder is way better than the new one fog lights
It’s the same front end…
No it isn't
@@chriskoloski8881there’s no redesign and fog lights can be an added accessory.

This is nice Joe … Nissan needs to bring back the Xterra
The Rock Edition is supposed to fill that gap.
There are talks directly from the company that they are considering a new Xterra
@@AnsrMax eh
It’s going to happen! lol
It's coming, and if they know what's good for them they should also bring out a Warrior version of the X-terra and Frontier powered by the new 3.5TT
Off-topic a bit but can "we talk about what's going on here" pertaining to the fact that I've always wondered what watch you wear. Are you able to disclose? I am looking at some Nissan products currently. Nice interiors these days.
That is so awesome of you to ask. It is a Citizen Eco-drive.
@@RaitisRides Thank you. You are out in the sun a lot, so you and the watch both get charged up.

Still waiting for the elantra n 24 review
Great review. I'm 6'4" and the quality of the seats and size (headroom/legroom) is a big draw for me.
I test drove a Platinum AWD recently and I believe it may have had a tire balance issue at the very least. There was a significant, off-putting vibration coming up through the seats. Like driving on a corrugated/unpaved road surface, rather than the smooth pavement I was actually on. The dealer offered no explanation and there was no other demo available to drive.
That is very interesting!
Assuming it was an anomaly with that one car, I’m hoping to try another one soon.
I’m driving one these days, no issues. 20” wheels do feel the bumps however.
@@magnoliap5824 This was way beyond road feel, but having owned prior Pathfinders I do agree with your point about about the 20" wheels/tires.
@@johns4751 yep, still getting used to them. lol
I just wanna know more about the 11 new models in a few years they are coming out with?
X-terra, Murano replacement, electric Maxima replacement, Kicks, Armada are the ones I know of.
@chiemekaa hopefully xterra is a v6 with automatic!! ?? 4x4?
@@antoniocognato5023 Oh it'll definitely share the same engine with the Frontier as they've always previously. Unless they've modified the VC-T for RWD application.
@@chiemekaa I hope it's an automatic with 4x4 . No turbo shit too! Toyota dropped the ball with turbo 4cyl
It sounds better than the telluride on throttle
Major ZONK!! for that Edison light bulb up front especially for the Platinum trim
I didn’t hear you mention the price or it’s crash test results. Both of these are very important to my daughter and grandchildren.
It id in there!
Great crash ratings, you can look them up.
Yes
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
That wiper should be tucked under the top rear end of the roof like how Toyota does it. That right there changed my mind about buying this pathfinder
You are so very right about that!
4 kids? A minivan is the only answer, but of course, pride gets in the way of most people.
I LOVE the bright headlines and HATE the black ones. It's so depressing with all the black headliners.
My Favorite was Xtrerra it was Bulky and Husky
They might bring it back!
Looks like front right wheel lost its valve cap.
Turn signals still uses old bulbs. Why, Mr. Raiti?
Cheaper to make that way but how this pathfinder is equipped for 54k I expect LED front and rear
The Nissan Pathfinder is really nice. I own one and so does my father, both Platinums. However, one MAJOR drawback is that infotainment. It is awful when it comes to CarPlay. It will constantly freeze up, wireless or wired, and will make you wonder why it takes 20 minutes to go 2 miles.
Get a data cable, it works much better than a regular charging cable 👍🏼. Needs that data transfer connectivity.
Next weeks video is Honda pilot better than a Nissan pathfinder?
Big wood joe!! Ya BiIG WOOD JOE!!!!👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice SUV.
I like both but I prefer the Honda.
Awd? Or 4wd?
Good question.
Pathfinder offers 16.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row, not 23 cubic feet

Trying to decide between this and the Pilot 🤔
I was too until I saw the lower financing for nissan. Plus I've owned 3 pathfinder and never an issue
Will definitely check with Nissan when my current lease is up.
My daughter has a ‘24 Rogue SV that she and her kids love .
Any Nissan with a conventional automatic transmission is far better than one with their horrid cvt trannys
The Pilot has a more buttoned down ride and has more room, but the Pathfinder looks and feels more premium while also having much more comfortable zero gravity seats.
Pilot is the better choice - better build quality - resale value - versatility and looks but the Nissan is cheaper.. but for a reason
Parents got one like that. Gotta say, Nissan always have the most comfortable seats. I’ve driven all the common brands and some premium ones. Nissan/Infinity is my number one. Made for American big asses.
Very good points!
Yep, got an SL a few days ago. The most comfortable seats I have sat in
When the Pathfinder turbo engine?
Never!
Not any time soon.
You may be right!

MIDSIZE! For real? thing is huge xD
one thing i wish they would have brought back is the rear driver's and passenger side door handle that use to be by the window for the first 3 generations. that 4th gen was pure garbage and it never looked like a off roader
That would have been great if they did!
Remember the Alamo Steven!
Yes sir George.
I want them to bring back the xterra!
That would be so cook if they did.
Is the Pathfinder in the same segment as the CX-90? I personally prefer the looks and luxury of the Mazda, but this Nissan is a solid choice. I think it has more trunk space than the CX-90.
Only issue that many people are complaining about with the CX-90 is the lack of power. It's a fairly large vehicle and they chose to use a 4 cylinder engine. It feels sluggish.
@@ssjMaximum22Gokuthat’s why the straight 6 is an option pricey of course but that’s the way to go if I am buying one
@@ssjMaximum22Gokuthe PHEV Mazda is more expensive than the straight 6. Base model cx90 has the straight 6 turbo for about the same price as a base model pathfinder.
Wowwww
Best thing - no CVT. Nissan finally realized customers want regular automatics.
This is so very true!
I can resist the twinkies, but I can't turn down fresh Krispi Kreme doughnuts.
the front turn signal is not an LED turn signal.

There are fog lights on the higher trim. I don't know what he's got here, but there are fog lights.
