      How have I found you here? One day I've come across your short videos scrolling the Internet and fell in love at once! You're a real *charmer!* As a result, I'm a new subscriber of yours as of today!
      About myself a bit, okay? I'm Dave, 37 years old and I'm a professional auto racer and have been learning English for over years. As I suppose, I could be able to reach a pretty high level in English thanks to my teachers and my job! Lovely people who I've always looked up to! And now you Anna are among them! I'm gonna be watching every lesson from yours from now on!
      Let me please ask you a slightly challenging question?! Don't get grumpy, pissed off please! - Are you married? I've been being single since I started doing my sport career just 'cause not many girls are ready to put up with my specific job around the world! I'm originally from Barcelona, Catalunya (Spain) and have been living in Honolulu (US) for over twelve years!

    My group of friends use “legend” in that way, but we also pronounce it wrong deliberately to imply someone is NOT a legend, or the opposite of a legend. For example, “My girlfriend will think I’m a legend when she finds out which band I’m taking her to see!” “No mate, she’ll think you’re a leg-end judging by your taste in music!” (pronounced LEG - like the part of the body - and END) 😂

    Why is it that British teachers online always mention and do an American accent, whilst American teachers never explain the differences in British let alone have a go at it... I say stick to English, people who are interested in American are probably already watching American English tutorials.

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  Рік тому +8

      British teachers mention American English because AmE is predominantly taught internationally and is dominate in global media. Plus many students ask us (British teachers) about the differences between AmE and BrE. So thank you for your comment but hopefully you now understand that we are simply doing our job.

    • @ginismoja2459
      @ginismoja2459 Рік тому

      @@EnglishLikeANative I disagree. I think AmE is only thought in South America and some parts of Asia. Literally everywhere else it is British and especially in Europe (the books are all British and so are the IPA transcriptions, we're just encouraged to have an accent that's easier for us to reproduce).
