No one told me I should do the hair separately before, I used to do the whole masking with the hair over and over again to make it better. Thank you ❤️
This has been delivered 3 years ago, i found it useful even today as a new comer to the photoshop community, i actually had fun trying to comprehend how masks work after watching this video, practiced for hours, and i think i got the hang of it now, thanks !
I was always confused about the hair selection. After watching this video, I finally realized that the global refinements also affact the hair selection a lot. The two step process is really an efficient way. Thank you!
You are the best, I love all your tutorials. I am looking forward to seeing you work with all the new updates in PS2020. Thank you for all you do for those of us always learning from your expertise.
This tutorial also teaches a very good method of eliminating/reducing fringes or hallows around the masked image(s); the minimum/maximum filters... ThanX again...
I watch it again and again and again sir . not to miss all details of your move hah . I love your explain and it is very clear sir thanks you . God bless u
Way to go Jesús. I loved the video. The two-step process makes so much sense now that I've seen it. And as for the minimize filter, DUH, I've spent so much time messing with modifying selections and this makes it so much easier. Thank You!

It is very good learning from this tutorial that we shall use different edge refinement adjustments for the hair and rest of the image.... In fact this idea becomes very handy and useful for the objects which response differently with different edge refinement adjustments... we shall use different refinement adjustments for different types of edges of the object.... ThanX
Jesus, I touched up photos as a wedding photographer and created event passes through the 80's until maybe 5 years ago. Starting up again with photography and am renting PS. Ahhh, thank you for this! I've always been bad with extracting a subject from a background, even a more solid one. I'm going to try it out!
love this!!!
Thank you very much! Didn't know that better to do hair separately 🙌
You can also apply a levels adjustment to the mask to get rid of halos as well
For sure! But only assuming that the halos are caused by blurry edges. Levels doesn't really contract a mask.
Photoshop Training Channel ah never thought about that, thanks!
