When the lakers and Celtics were dominating in the 80s, it still wasn't clear who was going to the finals, (which is why the 2 teams never met 3 times in a row) when Jordan was doing his thing, we still didn't know who he was facing in the finals (out of 6 times he only saw the same team twice). The difference between those super teams and today is, at this point in the league and before this season even started it's clear that the warriors and cavs are going to the finals and it happened as expected this year, and unless shit change it will continue to happen for at least the next 2 or 3 years. The same two teams in the finals for 5-6 years? That's whack homie, where's the suspense ?

LeBron is leaving the Cavs. The Warriors will win the championship again in 2019, unless the King plays on a West team. If the King signs with the Rockets, then they will be an even BETTER team than the Dubs, but only if Paul George stays. If Paul leaves to go to the Lakers, and LeBron signs with Houston, then MAYBE the Rockets put out the Warriors in the West finals. If LeBron and Paul George sign with the Lakers, and Kawhi Leonard leaves S.A. and goes to the Lakers, then the Lakers will be contenders for the first time in ages. They COULD put out GS in the west Finals with a team like that. We will see what happens.

In my experience the worst fans in any American sport come from the coastal cities like New York, Miami, LA and now GS. It's about competitiveness. Miami went to game 7 against Indiana and Boston while he was there in back to back years. Just because Lebron has gone to 7 straight finals doesn't mean it was easy every year.
It was easy. Don't pretend like we didn't know who was going to come out of those Heat vs whoever series. The only series the Heat truly has to work for was Heat and Celtics Conference Finals 2012.
Richie Porter I disagree. Those Pacers teams were pretty damn tough. Lebron had to have some all-time great performances in order to beat them.
I thought so at first but the performance of the Pacers in game 7 was pathetic. They were not playing like a team that wanted to advance and by the start of the 4th Quarter it was already a wrap.
I think the NBA should follow in the NHL's footsteps and implement a hard-cap. Meaning teams are unable to pile up talent and just pay the luxury tax. Teams like the Cavs wouldn't exist when they have the highest payroll in NBA history. Also for the Warriors in 2 years when Klay and Draymond's contracts expire. There are things the NHL just do better than the NBA.

DURING THE SERIES!!! Did he throw the series? Did he give maybe a little less effort than he could have because he knew he was gone? I'm pretty sure if LeBron joined the Celtics(who were actually past their primes, not a 73 win team) after getting eliminated by them the year before and then it came out that Paul Pierce was recruiting him during their playoff series the year before.......the LeBron hate would be nonstop for the rest of his career lol

Ya'll what KD did led to everything that happened in the 2017 offseason. It took time but it made the NBA hella interesting and competitive for the year after (at least in the west). It raised the bar.
Personally I loved seeing just how formidable the Warriors had become. I loved watching my Wizards show the East what they could do. Loved watching Russ put up crazy numbers. Maybe there wasn't much suspense because we knew who was going to the finals, but it was still fun to watch.
I wouldnt particularly blame The team as a whole because they've developed their team by time but the addition of KD has made them completely unstoppable and it doesnt interest nba fans to watch them completely dominate the league and the post season unless youre a warriors fan.

This is a dynasty. The Celtics and Lakers in the 70s and 80s. The Bulls in the 90s. The Lakers again in the 90s - 2000s. Now we have Golden State Warriors.

The Difference between the other great teams dominance and the warriors dominance is that back then, there were other teams that could at least give a good series to them. Utah and Seattle gave the bulls work in the finals game series making it entertaining, The Spurs and Pistons were there to disrupt the Lakers, and the Pacers, Boston, and Spurs all gave Miami a great series. There was no other team on the Warriors level this year (except for the spurs, but they were injured), leaving the series to be EXTREMELY lopsided sweeps.

I'll never respect KD. He took the easy way out. I'm personally not going to watch the NBA except for the spurs anymore. It just isn't fun. I was ok with Jordan's bulls because it was almost as if Jordan was just so good that it was still a draw. This, just feels cheap, ya know? I respect the warriors as a whole, because they are a great team, and they are real champions. But when KD joined them, it felt cheap. Like building a all-star team in 2K then playing on easy mode. So for all of you who are going to watch, have fun. But for me, I'm not watching this non-sense. And KD will never be a champion in my eyes, even if he wins 10 rings. I was waiting all year for this matchup and the Cavs keep throwing up low percentage shots and playing horrid defense against a team so stacked that any mistakes mean a loss. It's been the most disappointing NBA season of my 27 year old life. It's not all GSW's fault, though. The teams with the other superstars were boring to watch aside from Russ Westbrook who really didn't have a shot to get to the Finals anyway. I enjoyed watching the dumpster fire that was the Knicks, both on AND off the court. I enjoyed watching how much fun GSW is having. I enjoyed seeing Isaiah Thomas beast life for the Celtics the way he did.
Honestly, the worst part have been the Playoffs in general. Whether I know the outcome or not, I want to have competitive games. That wasn't simply Golden State's fault. Games in general were wack; seeing blowout after blowout in BOTH conferences. People are quick to blame GSW for ruining it, but I didn't hear anyone crying when Lebron & the Cavs have a fucking 40 point domination over the Celtics.
