My wife and I are moving to Bend from San Francisco next month :) Just got a place in Sunriver. Absolutely love it up there: so beautiful and peaceful.
Thank you for going there re: politics. Most people are too afraid, but it's important. I can live anywhere blue or purple, but red is OUT. I appreciate your honesty.
Hi Dona! Thanks for watching😃 We have a lot of folks in Bend that left the Denver area because it got too big. Bend is growing too...and that does bring problems, but I still LOVE living here. The beauty and access to outdoor activities is amazing❤️ Please reach out if I can help in any way! noralovesbendhomes@gmail.com
I was living in Portland the last time Mount St. Helens blew🤪 I can honestly say it's not a topic that I have ever heard anybody talking about here in Central Oregon.
Thanks for watching, Aaron 😁 the risk of wildfire in the city of Bend is very small. But yes we are affected by wildfires in the forest surrounding us and fires from Washington, California and Idaho. Check out the videos I make every summer on wildfires in and around Bend 👍
Aloha! My family of 5 are looking to move to Bend, OR from Honolulu. 🤙🏽 we are Pacific Islanders though and so we are a little worried about the lack of diversity in Bend.
I presently live on Long Island, NY. I've always held the notion of moving out to Bend, OR for all of the obvious reasons. However, I'm beginning to have reservations because of the all of the west coast wildfires, climate change, etc.
Thanks for watching @Baci302😃 If you haven't visited...I suggest you do that. It's not a decision you can make with just "facts" in your head! Bend will get under your skin if you really are meant to live here! Every place has its "downside" and of course Bend (really all of the Western US, not just Bend!) has a wildfire season, but unless you have severe breathing problems, I don't think that should stop you from moving here. For me...the GOOD out weighs anything "bad" by a LONG SHOT!
Thanks for watching 😀 Eastern Oregon leans more "red" but because of the population on the west side of the state, Oregon as a whole ends up with "blue" politics🤪

Actually me living here for the last 25 years, it was a very conservative and yes Caucasian based City. But in the recent years this town has expanded beyond imagination. The amount of diversity has exploded, and there are more high-end ethnic and Hispanic ect restaurants on every corner in this town that thrive immensely! The only thing that I can say negatively in this town, is that people have very low patience, lack of respect for customers, quick to complain, and a high rate of homelessness
Any and all home owners and renters in Bend need to be aware of housing laws. Their cops and authorities allow and protect lying landlord investors as they threaten, assault, abuse, torture paying tenants/customers, causing broken bones and stealing home and property is "not a crime" as stated and shown by them. ... This is a major cause of the homeless and housing crisis... It also means the same methods can be used on any home owner or renter in the County, no one is safe, even if you pay rent or own your home. This was displayed by the Deschutes county cops, courts, county public defenders and district attorneys as well as the crisis lines and ADA abuse report lines.
WOW! Sounds like you've had some bad experiences and I'm sorry for that. Actually, Oregon is TENANT FRIENDLY and laws heavily favor tenants over Landlords.
@@NoraLovesBendHomes Ya but not really. I reported it and had proof. The cops dont care, they let it happen and after the fact it is up to you to pursure civil court. I would like to thank these officers as they said what happend to me isnt a crime, meaning its not a crime if the same harm happens to their household or any other for that matter. ... This is a major cause of the homeless and housing crisis, i think more people besides just the poor and disabled should experience it. Shall we start with the bad cops family or bad landlords family? They can see how it feels and think about what they did. It wont be a crime so they only have themselves to blame.
@@NoraLovesBendHomes Its the bad crooked vile landlord investors and the police who brought and allow such behavior in our communities, as such they can expect no less to happen to their own friends and family.
@@NoraLovesBendHomes Ya so am I. But atleast we all know what is legal and allowed to be done to others. Why there is a homeless and housing crisis. Just as such harm was legal and allowed, it will also be legal and allowed to repeat such acts onto others. .. So sad.
Bend sucks. It’s expensive as hell. Has the infrastructure for a town of 10,000 people, with 100,000 people trying to use it. Full of “ski bums” who work at the local venture capital firms. Give me a break.
It's a asset that appreciates over time, so you've done well. It's not ripping anyone off if they're willing to pay that price. Economies grow and real estate appreciates.
Salt Lake City....everyone drives 75-90mph regularly...craziest place I've ever driven in USA
That’s wild! Bend has its share of speeders too😬
These transitions are so funny! I love your content 😂
Glad I can entertain, Bryan!🤣

May be relocating from Atlanta. Places I have loved are Denver (got too big and too expensive), and Boone, NC.

Bend is crazy expensive too. I looked into Denver as well. Prices were similar.
Redmond, Prineville, La Pine are less expensive.....let me know if I can help!
Do you all plan or think about a Mt St Helens type of event? Concerned about ash living east of mountains. Not from area
Adding wildfire risk to this comment too

Aloha🌺 Have you visited Bend? We are a very "white" town. Can't change that. But I feel Bend is a welcoming town to all who love the lifestyle here 😀

Bend is becoming more "blue/liberal" all the time. Oregon as a state is very BLUE. Just so you know!
