I don't think I said those things??? All of the Western US is and has been in drought condition for a long time. Yes, there are wildfires every year, some worse than others. What's your point? There's no "perfect" place on earth, so you have to choose what's most important to you. I love living in Bend despite drought and wildfires. Would you rather live where there are hurricanes, tornados, floods? Your choice!
I’ve been living in Bend for 12/13 years of my life and I’ve seen how beautiful it is. I’ve hiked up Pilot Butte, walked everywhere downtown and explored the outskirts of Bend. I will also say that since my family was in low class, my mother had to work 3 jobs until we had to move to New Mexico. A nice place to raise a family, retirement or just living safely as long as you can afford houses there. It’s worth the price in the long run.
Pros: the outdoors. Cons: Retired Californians, that are victims of the California housing crisis, driving house prices higher then the local economy can sustain.
The Volcanos south sister has been bulging 4 years, it could blow at any time. Seattle is turning into a hell hole, the bums are taking over, a lot of people are leaving. Don't move to Bend unless you have a lot of money.
I hiked the south sister in 2014 to spread my mother's ashes, due to it being here favorite hiking spot. It's definitely an active volcano, you can feel rumble here and there. But what fun is it if you can't scare a tourist about it's activity 😂

Bend is destroyed. High suicide rate. Poverty rate equal to some countries in se Asia. Homeless population exploding. @@NoraLovesBendHomes This is my home town and have lived in central Oregon for more than 50 years and cannot stand to even to drive through Bend and have chosen to live in Klamath county away from people like you.
