When I came on here, I wasn't going to say anything kind and then I started reading the comments and ended up crying. My son passed away at the age of 51 a month ago. He liked Country music and his Bikes! I don't feel kind right now, but I see there is kindness in this world still and that makes me feel a little better!! God bless this Country!!

😢 I am so sorry.....my mom lost her son, my brother at 40 years old from a massive heart attack. Mom left us 3 years later and life hasn't been the same for me and my sister. We do it one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. That was back in 1991 and 1995. Hang in there. You never get over it but you will eventually learn to move forward.❤

I left home in 1985 after twenty years in a northeastern Ohio small town that had a population of 3,692 in the year 2022. My life after leaving Ohio has been FULL of many blessings and also very successful with years spent in Seattle, Washington. Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Anytime I feel like I am "too big for my britches" I throw on a song like this, or one of many gut punches by Kenny Chesney, (There Goes My Life) Randy Travis (Pray For The Fish) Brooks & Dunn (I Believe) (Church) Lyle Lovett They all take me back to where it all started and makes me humble REAL QUICK! I am so glad to always remember the roots of where I came from!

I was in rehab for alcohol. Every time I walked into common area they would pull up Jelly Roll’s Save Me. I never tired of that amazing song.

Bro I'm so happy for you, I can tell by the smile on your face and tears in your eyes there ain't a happier person in that building, that is one of my favorite songs and then getting hand written lyrics to boot is awesome. Once again I am very happy for you, made me cry a little myself

Good morning Dawn. That' a beautiful way to start a day. Dawn, I will, gladly pray for you. And please smile. Love ya.
Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

I would like to share some songs with you, perhaps you've heard them, or maybe not I believe to sing is one of our greatest gifts here on earth and forever after. Respectfully,
      1. In Jesus Name by Katie Nichole
      2. Better than Me by Riley Green and Randy Houser
      3.
      4. Proud Souls by Jason Boland and the Stragglers
      5. Cancer By Tom Mac Donald
      6. Dear Mom by Dax
      7. Do You Hear What I Hear? This song was written during the Cuban Missile Crisis because of the overwhelming dread people felt. Husband and Wife, Noël Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker were reluctant to release it because of all the commercialism surrounding Christmas Day. But they did it anyway. Many beautiful artists have performed it. But on the day JFK was killed, Bing Crosby recorded his version, which I believe is the best version and best songs ever pefgormed in history.
      9. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamon
      10. Georgia on By Mind- Ray Charles
      11. Oh Mother of Mine by The Temptations
      12. My Way by Frank Sinatra
      13. You're the Inspiration by Chicago
      14. Dear Alcohol by Dax- there are 3 versions of this song, the original, a remix (Video only UA-cam) where Dax challenged his fans to do a minute of their own version. Countless people responded and Dax selected 25 performers and made it an 18:30 song. It's a first in music and it's intent is beautiful. A third version with Elle King. Still Searching For A Reason is another great song among others.
      15. Cotton Fields by Creedence Clearwater Revival
      16. The Star Spangled Banner performed by Whitney Houston during 1990 Super Bowl and to me her version and Smoky Robinson's version for Super Bowl in 85 or 86.
      17. Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob We get
      19. God Bless America by Ronan Tynan performed after 9/11 in Yankee Stadium during 7th Inning stretch.
      20. Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers
Have a beautiful day Dawn!!! Smile and sing all day!!! I will too. And may God continue to bless you and castaway your sadness forever.

This that same dude that coined the phrase. "If my P.O. ask, I hang drywall!" Got to love how far he has came. How hard he has hustled. This man certainly has hit me hard with more than 1 song. On more than 1 occasion. Congrats Jelly. You are an overall inspiration. Not just thru your music. Keep up the hard work brother!

Stories like Jelly’s need to be told to the world to remind people no matter how bad things are people can completely turn there lives around. Ol Jelly is a huge inspiration to so many of the black sheep, the outsiders, the ones that family and society are ashamed of like me and possibly even u bubba. Man i was a true piece of shit back in the day and still am… but now im just a smaller piece of shit lol. I was locked up multiple times but one time really stands out. I was pissed because I wanted to watch the Steelers but they wanted to watch a Tyler Perry movie or some bull shit so I layed down with my shirt wrapped around my head trying to go to sleep, all I could hear was that BS on the tv and BAM they started slamming dominoes, I was ready to get 25 to life added on to my bid. Then I heard Cool water on my radio then Alone and forsaken by Hank Sr back to back and that shit changed my life. I realized music allowed me to mentally escape any situation I was in. When I got out i ran in to my cousin and he wouldn’t talk to me, he eventually told me that I had snapped on him for no reason (I was doped up) back in the day and put a blad# to his throat.. i balled like a baby. I still don’t remember doing that but after hearing other similar stories about awful things i had done I knew he was telling the truth and I couldn’t go back to the hard drugs, live fast and die young lifestyle. I remembered doing some unforgivable things but damn what all had I done that I cant even remember!? Shit scared me so bad i knew I had to change and ask for forgiveness. I’ve been sober for 12 years for the most part, been married for 16 years and have a 12 year old daughter that only knows me for the man I am now instead of the screw up I was back then. No matter how bad things seem never give up, the depth of rock bottom keeps changing as you get older and experience more heart ache and dark times.. u just have to keep fighting. Sorry about the book I just wrote man, I couldn’t stop putting my thoughts in to words. Take care and God bless u brother
