  • Bob Miller is a 99-year-old veteran who participated in multiple fronts during WWII. When he was 13 years old, Bob joined the Jr. Naval Reserves. Later, in 1941, he enlisted in the Navy, serving on 11 different ships throughout his years of service. During the Battle of the Atlantic, Bob's ship was escorting supplies sent to England. When Pearl Harbor was bombed, Bob was assigned various positions and jobs that allowed him to rise through out the ranks. Shortly after, the Allies started preparing and training for the invasion of Vichy French North Africa (Operation Torch). In November 1942, the invasion took place, and Bob was on an aircraft carrier off the coast of Casablanca. Bob recalls U.S. and Vichy French fighters dogfighting against each other. When the battle was over, Bob's ship was transferred back to the United States, and he was now destined for the Pacific Theater. He participated in several battles against the Japanese until the War's end. Watch part 2 when it is released next week.
