Thats the thing with filipino parties. Everyone should sing. Doesnt matter if you are good or not, no judgement. Sing your heart out and everyone just jams with whoever has the mic🤟🏻

Parties are legit like this! My friends and I would often get together and karaoke is a must since we all can sing like literally for every genre. Birit, ballad rnb opm even other languages lol. We sound like we're in an amateur singing competition lol. Idk, I love us for that 💜

Dancing is also a part of a Filipino culture mostly in a Provinces they loved Disco/Cha-cha/Hip-hop/Sweetdance or balse/Cultural dance/or even Kuratsa. Which means to put some money while they are both dancing. And the others if they drunk they will dancing even in a mud.😁👍 Anyway Efra why dont you invite Regine Velasquez in you Podcast then you make a request to Regine of your favorite song PANGARAP KO ANG IBIGIN KA. The problem at a Filipino party is that there is a long queue of singers waiting to enter their favorite songs on the videoke/karaoke system and are ready to grab the mike as soon as the current song is finished. Many of them will be very good and well-practiced.
Once I was given a "Like Mike“ award because I stayed up all night at an excursion and sang for more than four hours straight while others were relaxing or sleeping!
Filipino parties are always wild. You know there always have tons of food and karaoke machine or some kind of singing going on.

Practice make perfect,choose a song you want to sing and practice it to sing until you make it perfect,then the next song you want practice on it again you won't realize someday any song you will sing it perfectly that's the secret of pilipino on singing ,thanks for all of your reaction about our artist

In my mom's family, not to exaggerate, us cousins who are here in the Philippines can all sing. As in sing! And all of us play instruments too. We are 32 here in the Philippines. 😁

I do believe one of the many factors that a lot of filipinos are good at singing is because of fiesta amateur singing contest they are like everywhere so a lot of people from kids to adults are encouraged to join these contests thus honing their skills all throughout they are called conteseras a lot of notable filipino singers are conteseras the likes of sarah geronimo,sheryn regis morisette amon to name a few.

Karaoke are so common in Filipino get togethers. Its actually a staple apart from the food. Perhaps one of the reasons why a lot of us can sing and follow a tune.

There's actually a lot of dances here, especially on fiestas and wedding (wedding normally at our place in the mountains have dances before and after wedding, it's like a feista where everyone is invited to dance with sound systems and all)

Efra, please don't separate the [N] from the [G] by saying [pan-gah-rap]. "Pangarap" ("dream") is syllabicated as [pah-ngah-rap] because the "NG" digraph is considered as one sound pronounced as [nga], [nge], [ngi], [ngo], and [ngu]. so there are words that start with "ng" like "ngayon" (now), "ngunit" (but), "ngiwi" (distorted or skewed), "bangayan" (conflict), "pangungusap" (sentence), etc.
Dancing is also part of the parties, the Cha Cha dances are so fun!

Everybody has a talent. Maybe you can act and you just don't know it yet. Or maybe performance art is not for you. Maybe you're more of a literary artist (creative writer) or a visual artist (painter, sculptor, etc.). :)

So this is what I understand from what I've heard about this "party game"
It's called Karaoke Relay, participants form a line and take turns singing one song.
The catch: a difficult song is usually chosen for this game.
The strategy: sing as many or as little lines as you want, making sure the next singer gets the difficult/challenging part. Loads of fun! Hahaha
Also: despite the social pressure to sing in parties, we sing just because we want to, the pressure is just happenstance. LOL.😊🤭

the right pronunciation of PANGARAP is PA-NGA-RAP. the way eFRA pronounced it something like this PANG-GA-RAP. But, its all good bro. :)
He needs to hear a native speaker say NGA so he can emulate. It's hard to correct his pronunciation through the comments. I mean how would you describe reading NGA when it's more of a sound than a word?
