Waleska and Efra I remember when I was in first grade I remember my classmates singing in front of the class and they’re not scared at all it’s like it’s a play for them and growing up I thought it was normal to just sing anywhere till I came in the US at the age of 18 and I was like where’s the group of friends with guitar and just sing while on break in school then I realized it was just us Filipinos doing that it was a culture shock for me when I came in the US to study much love to your channel I’m 47 now by the way💕💕💕I’ve been living in California for 30 years 💕💕💕
The Philippines has a lot of malls. People like to go the the malls to hang-out especially during summer because it’s cooler inside the mall.
All shopping malls sell karaoke machines. Those are demo set where anyone passing-by can try the products to wether show off talent or just have fun. Also Karaoke brands usually hire salespeople who can actually sing to better sell the product.
And after singing.. they would just disappear inti the crowd as if nothing happened.. for the crowd.. they have watched for a moment a free concert as they pass by in the mall.. and the performer had a self satisfaction that once in her life she had given a gift that she received from her Creator.. and us watching on youtube are gasping in awe bec a raw talent and treasure are like just gold beneath the earth ready to be discovered...

Karaoke in the mall in the Philippines is normal. Every mall has a section where Karaoke is set for everyone or customer who is interested to sing.
I also experienced singing in the mall, and you know, I got my turn after 106 singers! So you have patiently waiting your turn as you see some people are standing behind. You should clap the singer after, so that he or she feels intense and little shame for immediately leave the center

You're talking about hostile environment and cheap reverb... Enthusiasts (like singing with or without mic with environment like those) will eventually learn how to put equalizer on oneself while singing. This may sound crazy but I've done that. But there are much more people who can do better and really admire them. Insane, isn't it?
WALESKA people love singing. In Philippines it's normal seeing people singing in the mall. Karaoke everywhere inside the malls. You can just pick the microphone and sing if, you don't feel shame. It's free to everybody who want to sing.

The other one was Alyssa Bonaobra of The Voice of the Philippines but she became popular after her audition and performances at X Factor UK.
Just think about receiving free concerts like this every time you go shopping!!! My new get rich quick scheme is to set up a concert hall outside of a Filipino bath house and charge the rest of the world to listen to them sing in the shower!!!!!

Yay! I don't even try to sing in a mall. I was too shy. Though, I participated once in our school just for the sake of our class section (and sake of my grade too). I won though, but I was too shy to participate again the second time around. Nervousness at its best. Especially because I'm an introvert dude.

If you ever come to the Philippines and times are "normal", try going to pubs and you'd usually find someone or some band singing. Often, even just open areas with some food stalls would have bands singing for everyone. :)

That's so true. A lot of us grow up with Karaoke machines at home or they're nearby in arcades and fairs and stuff, so many can really carry a tune, but not everyone has the courage to sing in public like they do. I think when you get past the stage fright, you can really improve a lot too. Because if you're too shy to let others hear your mistakes you'll also stick to easy songs and not challenge yourself.
