I wanted to comment on every minute of the video! One thing i will say (out of the millions that can be said) is that i like Dan pointing out the HUGE oculus on top of the sphere. When Brunelleschi's dome was built, people from around the world came to see it in person and they still do to this day. When it was being built, they said it was impossible. So, when Dan made the point of structural worry, it hit me. That IS insane. As i looked online, this ain't even a dome. It's what it says it is: a sphere. Meaning, it's like an upside-down dome with a dome atop it! All domes have drums, a massive circular wall at the bottom to hold up the dome. Since this is a sphere, its bottom "drum" is a shrinking dome. The more i think about it, the more unsafe it sounds. But then again, 2.5 billion USD can make any structural impossibility a reality i guess 🤷🏽♂
What an amazing experience 😎but PIZZA? Ever consider intentional dietary decisions? Pretty hard to find actual food in a stadium, but it helps to understand what real food is...Please check out Dr Jay Wortman giving a presentation at Low Carb Down Under highlighting a global anti-meat conspiracy for starters 🙏🙏🙏
What a deal! We just returned from Beyonce Renaissance concert in New Orleans. Got one of those 4-loco style cans, that you can get at a gas station, margarita flavor. It was $20....per can...
Now you need to try and attempt to get the owner of this property to let you do a behind the scenes "whats insisde" of the inner workings of this sphere.
We tried for a month leading up to this event. Emailed a bunch of people that work there. no one responded so I just paid my own way in. but it would be cool to see more of the insides!
Thanks for the great video! I'm on the design team for the interior atrium, restaurants, etc, and it was really nice to see you feature our work as much as the work of the amazing designers and tech geniuses who created that massive screen!
I was in Vegas a few years ago and I was wondering what this was...it was just a steel structure at the time...wow what an amazing place. Will definitely be booking tickets to in next time I go down there.
Alot of people don't realize the seats are actually part of the show too. According to Sphere: "Sphere's 10,000 haptic seats are integrated with Powersoft's infrasound system. Powersoft Mover is the company's compact transducer that uses haptic feedback. The moving-magnet technology uses an audio signal with ultra-low-frequency reproduction to make the chairs vibrate and shake as desired for each performance." These seats literally react and vibrate with the beats and everything. You are literally enveloped in the sound and visual experience! It's so cool!!!
Sounds like next level unless you're at a high energy EDM show like Anyma has coming up and NOBODY is used to sitting down. Since the GA standing level 100 has a spmewhat diminished video experience, I'm having 2nd thoughts, which really sucks cause it looks so exciting. Hmmmm
U2 did an interview on CBS Mornings Show sharing their feelings about performing there which was very interesting too. I live in Hawaii but used to live in Vegas prior to this Sphere opening, very unique indeed to get a glimpse of what's happening on our 9th island Vegas. Mahalo for sharing this extended tour during their opening show, very cool.
@@trwent I don't get your comment, it doesn't make sense and has nothing to do with the topic of the video above that this man so graciously recorded for all of us to enjoy.
Can someone please explain to me the need for these streams to all put the text in their videos of them talking? UA-cam has a subtitles / closed captions option if we want or need it. It's very distracting.
Sad I'll never be able to see this due to the ol' epilepsy, so dude ... thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for the video because otherwise people like me would never experience this.
The audio technology about beaming sound to a specific area is totally real. We've used it in the military for close to 20 years, and Police have used it in crowd control capacity. It's called LRAD. Think of it the same way you think of a laser pointer, but with sound.
My wife and I were there on night two. I still can’t quite comprehend what we saw that night. Only way I’ve come up with to describe it is immersive art. It’s the perfect marriage between sight and sound.
You definitely need to check out postcard from earth at the sphere. It is incredible! Some of the seats are haptic seats so during the show the seats vibrate which changes the entire experience. It was one of the best things I have ever experienced in my life.
Looks incredible! I don't know if the touring artists' group decides what's on the screen before the show starts while you're waiting, or if that's the Sphere's default waiting screen. I think they should have some little things happen on the screen while you wait though, even if it's just a couple things on a loop.
The artists own the images. Some of the concepts were from previous U2 shows. (Achtung Space baby Baby on the outside.) I think they want to surprise the guest, that is why nothing is happening before the show.... it builds anticipation for the show to start to see what it can do.
Venue looks amazing, but I wouldn’t want to go there for anything music related. The steep seating areas and small dance floor don’t seem to contribute to a great atmosphere.
Thanks for your input. I'm considering going to The Sphere EDM event at the end of 2024 and find it problematic that the video experience is compromised on the main level 100. Who wants to "sit" in the higher levels for a EDM rave-like atmosphere where I would rather be standing/dancing in the simulation with my friends. My enthusiasm is fading fast... cheers.
I watched Postcard from Earth in section 400. I was on the floor for U2. I'm a big U2 fan and wanted to be as close as possible. The movie was OK from section 400. Actually, I thought it was too far back because I could see the sides of the screen too easily. As long as I looked straight forward, it was great.
