The rear hatch auto opener works just fine. He performed the opening function incorrectly. Instead of waving your foot left and right, you just need to quickly kick your foot toward the middle of the rear hatch area and it will engage opening function right away.
Speed limiter is found on most if not all European vehicles (it is even part of French driving license test)

Hi - great video (and I’ve seen virtually all of the I4 videos)! My M50 is scheduled to go into production week 48. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Just an FYI on opening the back; I have seen others say that it’s more of a straight ahead kick of the foot than a side-to-side motion. You might want to try that. Also, I have a question about limiting the speed. Do you feel as if the car would react quickly enough if you need to hit the gas as an evasive maneuver? I am curious about your experienced opinion. Thanks!
Appreciate that Michelle! And thanks for the advice on the hands-free liftgate. Good information for potential buyers to see. As for the quick reaction when in 'limit mode' - in my experience it took about 1.5 seconds to kick in when you stomp on the accelerator so in an emergency situation it might be feel a little slow but it might be quick enough depending on the situation.

9:10 - is that Adaptive High Beam actually available in the US? I know the Audi Matrix version still was not available in US bc was still illegal?

Mine is on the ship on the way over from Germany. I got metallic portal blue with cognac interior and carbon fiber trim but I was also able to add the 50th anniversary M emblems /roundels given the delays (originally it was a February order so it was too early for the emblems at that time)

Nice video. Expecting my car in a few weeks. I have a Tesla and have always been a BMW enthusiast so am very excited. From my experience with my previous bmw moving your foot from front to back under the trunk worked pretty well.

the 2 Year Electrify America Charging 30 mins is Per days? reset after hours>?
From what I have seen there is a 60 minute waiting period between eligible charging sessions, but otherwise there is no limit on the number of eligible charging sessions.
19:00 mij Ford Ranger Raptor does the same thing 😂 in adaptive cruise mode it even changes to the speed limits of the road signs
You need to kick not swipe under the boot for hands free opening

I have an i4. It’s incredibly light
The tailgate sensor is very finicky, I found the best way to activate is to put your foot in the center past your ankle and then quickly retract it. This works 70% of the time.
Why no retractable sunroof option?

wait i thought adaptive high high beams were illegal in the U.S. Isn't only basic auto on and off high beams are legal(found in even the most basic modern cars like the RAV4)🤔

Everytime I see an American i4 I focus on the orange stripe on the side of the car... It doesnt belong there, I understand its regulation. But! very nice vid!!!! thanks.
Adaptive headlights aren’t enabled currently in the US
sucks to be in the US then; these work great; one of my favourite features
I love them. They provide so much targeted light that I can drive along the Autobahn at 250 km/h (155 mi/h) in the middle of the night without dazzling oncoming traffic.

Can you open truck and close it with Phone? As I know BMW KEY can open truck but CANNOT Close it!!!! why
Unfortunately I don't have the answer to that. I did not have the BMW app as it was not my vehicle.

@@SchwayZ Other video show it as no :( I wonder why the enginneer doing half ass shit... like why can't the voice control roll up all window if it can be roll all down :( And hatch back can only be open with key and cannot be close with key....
@KNighTErRanTry yeah it is really odd. I wonder if there's some weird safety regulations that prevent them from doing things.
I believe this is due to safety.
Why would you want to close the boot with the key anyway? If you mean the down movement, there's a button you press once it opens. If you mean closing, as in locking it, it will lock automatically once you lock the car.
I understand the windows, but if you have small children who love to stick their heads out, it's not a bad safety feature.
Passenger lumbar delete is due to the ongoing chip shortages.
got mine 2 weeks ago and they've removed belt pre-tensioner. not that I was planning on using it, but you know... a cool thing to have just in case.
Wtf. I have an i4 and my start up sound is way different than that. Even the sport mode sound is different
Is yours the M50 version?
@@SchwayZ No it's the edrive 40 with m sport. But that shouldn't matter. If possible, can you go to software update and let me know what version of software your car is?
@@iFayt9034 I don't have the vehicle but the trim level makes the difference. The m50 has the Hans Zimmer dynamic sounds whereas the edrive 40 doesn't unfortunately
@@SchwayZ I do have Hanz Zimmer sounds lol. I even paid for it and it's on my window sticker. I have the sounds, they just sound different. I'm pretty sure they changed it in a software update.

I hate this car, it said 300 miles but it always gave me 220 daily
I have this car with 20inch wheels and consistently get 240 miles in decent weather
M50 220-230 miles of range? Fail.
The 19” wheels will give you 270+ miles.
@@michaelc2254 Lowest Model 3 is 270 miles, others are 315 and 358 miles. Watched vid to see if BMW really had a Tesla competitor, they don't. BMW ICE M2 is the car to get. Awesome!
