There's another German EV rocket ship for sale that's definitely worth checking out, here is my review of the Porsche Taycan: ua-cam.com/video/O4SKB-SRS2k/v-deo.html
I've watched many many M50 vids, as I ordered one back in March 22' and have been eagerly awaiting my ride... I'm not an engineer, but I have an analytical mind, that's why I like this vid the most. This one gave me a lot of tech info and insight that I hadn't previously seen.
@@aneebaba06 I hope you get it soon! Mine was a test car I had for week. I didn't get to keep it. Maybe I should've asked BMW really nicely. It was a blast!
The sweet spot here is probably the middle model (eDrive 40)... best value, unless you REALLY want the 0-60 time. Other reviewers have said the 40 handles better, too (it's RWD).
Very true. A driven front axle will always be the expense of steering feel, never mind the additional weight of the motor up front. Losing weight is always a good thing, but if you want that 0-60 toller coaster, you have to go the M50..
Thank you! But I have to apologize, I don't have a good understanding of how scratch resistant the carbon fiber is. My dog loves to claw and climb around my car too, so I totally understand why you'd want to know.
Yes, the brake lights will come off if you let off the pedal far enough to be coming to a reasonable stop. There's a widget on the infotainment screen which depicts the car and will reflect any lights being activated on the car, so you'll know if the brake lights are triggered.
please review new honda crv hybrid. is it quiet in the cabin? compared to outback/wilderness? ride comfort and handling? (please let us know with and without left foot braking handling balance :) )
@@viewsonvehicles that sounds great. It might be interesting to use a dB meter to measure noise levels at 62mph in low wind on a dry stretch of road (both smooth and coarse chip readings) between different vehicles with aircon turned off. I am really hoping the noise insulation in the new CRV has been markedly improved since my 2008 CRV. I've also driven a new current generation Outback (but not Wilderness so I'd be keen to know how the CRV compares for quietness). The Outback has the same cabin noise at that speed on the same road in the same conditions to a 2020 Mercedes C Class.
Personally, I would choose the i4. I like the features BMW added and really enjoyed it on a lot of levels. To be fair, I've only driven the 3 Performance briefly, never reviewed one.

And the Harman/Kardon 17 speaker sound system is amazing as well. ❤

I really appreciate reading this, thank you!
the best review! I hate people doing launch control endlessly, you have quality information (I have this car, same color and option)
Thank you so much!
Awesome review! I’m getting mine on Thursday! Waited 11 months so very excited!
I got info from yesterday that mine will be produced in CW 51 :-) Can't wait! Congrats to you.
Thank you so much! And, yeah, this is something special. Hope it came for you!
Mine is in California awaiting transport up to Oregon. Reserved it in August 2021. It's been a loooong wait. Congrats to you!

Great review! I ordered mine, it's supposed to come in soon. I took it in dravit grey but that blue looks nice!
Thank you!
Ordered mine last week and already have a production number. Got the same color too
Hope it comes soon!
I watched many reviews on this car and this is the best review I've seen so far, good job
Thank you so much! It means a lot to read that.
Fully agree, pleasant and with just the right level of technical details (like Aluminum vendors). Subbed!!
@@GTI_CHHA thank you!

Nicely done. Electrify America 2 years free charging in US (30 minutes/ session).
Thank you!
Great video, How is the Scratch Resistance on the Gloss Carbon Fiber? Just curious if DOG CLAW will scar it>?

In "B' mode when you ease off accelerator do break lights come on?
That's a good question. I'm sorry to say, I do not know

What colour is that interior? Is it Cognac?
Exactly right

I'll make sure to get a CRV Hybrid soon. And I'll make to feel out chassis balance without a bit of assistance from my left foot. Cheers!

how did you get your I4 so early? A bunch of us have been waiting to get an i4 and still have not received ours yet.
Mine was a test car that I had for a week to review.
@Robin Warner : The i4M50 or the 3 Performance if you were to put your own money down.😊

There is no excuse for the rear seats to not have room.. ridiculousp.. Shorten the hood and increase the space in the cabin.
This car is designed as a coupe / hatchback, for more legroom there is the BMW I5
227 milles for a 2023 $84,000 beamer, sounds like its doa. model 3 performance gets you over 300 miles on 20s
It's not anywhere near $84k... looking at the configurator on BMW's web site, the m50 can be had with every option for around $74k.
@@JustMe99999 still alot for 200 miles real world range. Better off with a 150 mile range I3.
This vehicle is NOT WORTH $83k….Tesla here I come!!!
