Forearm Anatomy: Help Relieve Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is more prevalent among assembly line workers than people who do data entry or work at a computer. It also affects gamers, musicians, golfers, tennis players, waiters, and massage therapists. There are 9 tendons that go through the carpal tunnel: the flexor pollicis longus, 4 flexor digitorum profundus, and 4 flexor digitorum superficialis. I did not have all the muscles drawn since I just wanted to highlight some of the main ones and give you an idea how intricate the forearms are, I hope you will start using some of the techniques and that they help you in your massage therapy practice.
