  • Super Alloy 1 contains cadmium. Another MuggyWeld.com customer testimonial.
Per our conversation the other day, I was VERY impressed with your product!! IMO, it worked better than I thought possible! After I welded the pieces together, I intentionally tried to break them off...Couldn't do it!! I was truly stunned to see how strong that weld was! And as you can see in the pics, this was not a big, thick piece of pot metal with a lot of work area, quite the contrary; very small surface area to work with!
Again, following your instruction video, anybody can do this!
Attached are some of the repair pics we spoke of yesterday! Hope you find them helpful
    Notations:
    1. Pics #1a-4 show broken-off top section of the leg. The 2 holes that you see in picture 1a was from a previous unsuccessful repair attempt. One other leg was broken in the same place.
    2. Picture #5 is the positioning after cleaning prep. The small pieces of board were soaked in water for about 30 mins.
    3. Picture #6 shows the completed weld. Followed your instructions:
    a. The small pieces of board were soaked in water for about 30 minutes.
    b. Heating around the piece with flux, test with the rod until it starts to "flow" - step away; repeat!
    c. Allow repair to air cool -
    4. Picture #7 - Backside weld of 2nd leg before clean up.
    5. Picture #8 - Front side of weld. During cleanup, discovered the hole in repaired area. Used a standard soldering iron with some flux and filled hole.
    6. Picture #9 - Same leg as picture #8 after soldering repair and finish clean up of repair
    7. Picture #10 - 2nd leg completed.
    8. Completed table!
Note: I used a Dremel tool, handheld file, and emery cloth sandpaper to form and finish the weld. I dabbed some gold paint over weld to help blend in with the rest of the leg!
    Take care, my friend,
    Dale
