Hey zeos which would you recommend for gaming and general music listening between mt5 ,sivga 006 or the ricardo's my limit is 150 dollars so if you have something other then those in mind just let me know i been looking for a while just need some help and also i prefer only closed back
Ur day reviews are better lit, cant see much at night, no detail. but thanks from India
HEY Z do you know if periaptcables has an option for short barrel 2.5mm connectors for ther Type 2 -Dual 2.5mm set
The Font on the top of the Nobbs is from " The Simpsons".
Sounds like Jack Black is reviewing the fives.
It is actually him lol
I hear Tony Stark
Lmaoo
That’s the only reason why I’ve been watching. Lol
We love Zeos
Dude...you are so fun! You make me realize I don't find enough fun in things. I'm from Hope, AR and my first job out of college was at Klipsch and can appreciate your appreciation for what Klipsch did and does.
Thank you so much, I bought these and they blew me alway the amount of bass they produced absolutely mind blowing you where absolutely right about these
That font reminds me of Fender, or an old diner/drive in theater.
Love the inset metal plate and knobs.
I have the klipsch r-51 powered monitors. I got them on sale earlier in the year for $374. Those things literally blow me away with how good the imaging is. Those 5 1/4 drivers are DSP corrected when you hold down the subwoofer button. You can turn it on or off. I was going to get a subwoofer since it has the output but I was so impressed by the low end I skipped it. The dynamics are impressive. I can get it loud enough that it scares me a little and it still sounds good without distortion. I would love to hear these newer ones. I love klipsch. My whole surroundsound system is klipsch. I love how easy their passive speakers are to drive.

Zeos- “What we at? 11 minutes?”
Great video. I was considering them among other options but now I will go for these and let you know what I think. Thanks again for the great video!
Been waiting for this’👏
Best review I have experienced since a loooong time 👌
This was a fun review to watch. Love it. I want to buy these speakers now.
Love all ur Klipsch reviews bro
I’d really love to know how these compare to the Vanatoo T1E near-field on a desk. I have the T1E on a desk and those are very detailed and clear with great imaging.
If you decide to pair a sub woofer to the fives, they will blow away almost anything in their class.
Once paired with a sub, the fives become AUDIOPHILE QUALITY.
I have had the fives for 2 months, they are great. You can find them cheaper than 799. They are worth it. Play Meddle by Pink Floyd sounds incredible.
Zeos, I thought forever that your logo was a turkey. Just realized otherwise.
Great review, btw. Thanks, man!
Thank you so much Zeos. You really did me a favor. Buying "The Fives" was literally the best audio purchase I have ever made and perhaps one of the best purchases period I have made. I am not a high-end audiophile (although I did buy my first CD player in 1983 for $400 and almost got kicked out of my house for doing so) but I am also a musician. I am stunned every time I use them. Doesn't matter if its vinyl, TV, bluetooth or streaming, it's all been "chocolate orgasms" (damn that's a good line you had there). They have an old school warm, comfortable sound but very accurate. Thanks again for your review which made me get them. I was about to get a new receiver and wired speakers (but there's no need now). To anyone on the fence on buying these - don't think twice about it. They are even better now with the firmware updates and equalizer controls as of last month which made them even better.
Im on the fence between these and like the cinema 600 sound bar system that comes with a 10” sub. I like deep base in my movies and hip hop music. How is the base on these by themselves? I could get a sub later for these but don’t think I can add rears or a center. With the cinema series you can add a set of rears which gives you kind of a 5.1 effect.
@@scottkoblitz1230 I'd highly recommend the fives over the soundbar. The fives are a massive step up in every way and the bass by themselves is amazing and you can hookup a sub later on and get way better midrange
Hi Tim, Just purchased these speakers and what does this firmware update do?
@@peteralexander1155 - it boosts them and changes the volume settings to be more exact. I think it also allows the unit to “wake up” if they auto power off. The updated Klipsch app also has an equalizer which gives a lot more control over the bass and treble.
Could you get a spotify playlist? I would like to hear your test and casual listening playlist.
I was at a Basement Jaxx show years ago and they played some track that had a sound that kept rising and rising higher and higher and it got to a point that it fucked with my equilibrium or something and I fell over while sober.
I won these from Klipsch a while ago and I love them
And if Bass are too much there is function to turn off dynamic bass boost by holding sub reset button for 4-5 sec. Its really big difference.
Dude you had me laughing out loud. I'm glad you know your sh*t. Thanks
I want that Steyr AUG on the wall.
I use Klipsch's, the Promedia sat's as surround for my HT, and, Promedia 4.1 for my 'puter setup. They work VERY well for me, in these setups. Would LOVE to see rankings for 'puter/desktop, 2.0/2.1 "audiofile" listening, Home Theatre, catagories, ranked low/mid/high budget. .... AND..... any MSH workarounds to get us MORE, in these catagories. Thanks, ... Love Ya.....
2:21 "Three Finger Slot Port" sounds like a new rival band to Five Finger Death Punch.
Sounds like my ex.
It should be an irish band
I just had to re-watch this review since the first time you released this video. I just replaced my AudioEngine--A2's (which are pretty good but repurposed them onto another machine), with these Fives. HOLY Damn! Huge difference in sound and they are very loud. I did keep my Velodyne HGS-12 connected with the Fives and yeah, it's like having a new sub lol...thx Z
Just bought the fives!
Is it true that pairing them to a Subwoofer greatly improves the detail and overall sound quality for critical music listening?
@@bradhuskers actually it lowers the quality to 1990s NOKIA CELLPHONE SOUND
Nice review! In my opinion HDMI ARC is almost the signature feature of The Fives. That is what separates it from the crowd of similar priced powered speakers. I am a music first listener but it also does a nice job as a sound bar replacement. TV or cable remote changes the volume due to the HDMI ARC. I bought a pair a couple of months ago and have been very happy with them. About a week in the amplifier failed while watching TV at low volume. Klipsch support was great and rather than having me send the speakers back they shipped me a new amplifier so I was back up and running in a few days. Every product will have issues and I think the way the company backs the product is what matters. Klipsch support was stellar for me. I added a Klipsch sub because it allowed me to put The Fives closer to the wall without them getting boomy. I couldn’t be happier with them.
I bunged the ports to reduce boom. Sounds great now
@@kona328WH I did the same thing for a week or two when I was between subwoofers. Worked great. I gave my previous sub to my son and bought a new one. I really like the sound with the sub. But blocking the ports definitely stopped the boom from being too close to the walls.
@@rreichar1 good stuff. Which sub did you go with?
@kona328WH The sub I ended up with was a Klipsch R-120SW. Maybe not the best sub you can buy but I have been happy with it so far. In the past I have preferred “tighter” sounding subs. After a day or two I got used to this one. This is an amazing sounding system for about $1000 since you don’t need a amp or receiver.
@@rreichar1
Question.
I'm going to hook up the 10' klipsch sub woofer. Is it true that pairing them to the sub woofer will greatly improve the detail and overall sound quality for critical music listening?
I have these speakers at home and they are so good! I mainly use the for movies and gaming.
Just got mine, Fantastic sound. Question... Do think it's okay to leave them powered on all the time, thus not having to reconnect Bluetooth each time? Mine take a coupled of minutes to connect...Tks
With the covers on they look like the intercom from the 70's at my public school or library... but they do look 'quality' :P
Good observation. But they do look cool as hell.
I have a pair of Paradigm Shift A2's. Wonder if these would be an improvement. Using my Paradigm Shift A2's as computer speakers currently. Love them...
June 2022! this review made me buy these speakers. amazon has it for $469 for the matt black.
I don't watch review videos, but you are so hilarious, I HAD to subscribe, trust me, if i had the money I'd support you on patrion
This video was amazing. Love your mannerisms and in depth info even in comparing to other brands and predecessors. I have a question about the PHONO ports with this being a powered speaker would you still need a pre amp for something like a U-turn setup? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. Also wondering what the best Sub would be to pair with this for a small 10x12 room potentially flooding into a whole house 1100 sq/ft situation. :D Cheers
How'd you think these are powered.... Obviously they are passive.
mmmmmm
I added the IFI Zen phono pre/amp and it definitely kicked it up a notch. Well worth it
Bro you are a riot i loved this video😂
Questions.
First, why are the fives more expensive than the sixes?
Second, were you using a sub with the fives?
Finally, which sound better, the fives or sixes?
Great content thanks man
Cant wait to see the Buchardt A500
Can the fives be added into a stereo configuration or with a full home theater system? If so, how?
The review should be all about How a product makes you Feel when you listen
Which of these bookshelf speakers do you prefer
Watching this review on my klipsch the fives. They do sound great
Nice! Can I ask what're they like for films, tv? Considering this or the bang and olufsen soundstage.
@@ExtremeAvenger I can't compare them to B&O don't have a pair. Movies, Streaming, etc. They do sound amazing! I have a medium size living room and it is able to fill up the room without skipping a beat, at medium volume level.
Only downside and it's not The speakers fault when streaming most providers have the audio default setting at 5.1 which the speakers can't play that format. You have to manually set the audio as stereo to have any sound coming out from the source to the HDMI INPUT on the speaker.
I have them connected to my tv via toslink.
If you are not an audiophile and don't mind having the sound being processed at 96khz that is the only option to stream movies.
If you have a good sub and tune it correctly you will have an amazing 2.1 system.
I do recommend the speakers.
Awesome video. I am considering purchasing these speakers very soon. Any thoughts on whether the Edifier s3000 pro would be comparable or a better buy? Using them in a small to medium, sized office environment.
How would you compare these to the slot port speedsters with a good amp behind them?
2 things.........
1. When you plug in a cable to the sub out, it Five defaults to a fixed cutoff frequency so any old subwoofer may not do if it doesn't mesh well.
2. I seen reports of the bluetooth being problematic. Wish you would have tested that.
I got the 51 powered set up
..works great in near field.
Use them ( with subs) instead of a sound bar.
I’ve become a huge Klipsch fan this year. I’m even considering these fives instead of Harbeth P3ESRs. Is that weird?
wait till u see the new NINES
Can a CD player be hooked up to the phono in jacks?? does it have to be a turn table??? I wish I could decide between The Fives and The Sixes . lol
I'm looking to purchase these or the sixes for my bedroom. For my TV and streaming music from my smartphone. I'm more so leaning toward the music aspect. Which would you suggest??
Tough decision! Buy these or Klipsch Cinema 600, or spend the extra and get the Cinema 1200?
Anyone have a suggestion?
Any Tekton speaker review in the near future?
Bought my first set of Klipsch speakers (Kg 4’s) in 1988 and never looked back. That sound will suck you in. Z I think those would impress you also. Try and review some vintage stuff every now and then to see how they compare. Those would be a great start.
I have Forte, Heresy, and a bunch of Reference myself, but always wanted some KG4s. Pretty rare, unfortunately, in the country where I live now.
I'm using these with the SVS 3000 micro sub. I'm now in heaven. Also the latest software update update Jan 2022, adds ADJUSTABLE equaliser to the Klipsch and remote to phone app. Enjoy!
I am looking at subs to pair with my Fives and the micro 3000 is currently the front runner. Would you recommend it mate? Also, do you have to set low pass filter on the sub or do you just set it to LFE and The Fives take care of the crossover totally? Thanks
if you compare them to Kanto Tuks which one is more detailed you think?
Z u crazy...m....! this review I'm watching for the 8th time now! GREAT review!
You are one funny guy! You actually sound like Jack Black. Super intertaining and informative. I am excited that I just bought the Fives today and can't wait to hook them up and listen to them. Went from deciding to do a full system to just buying the Fives with a 12" subwoofer and calling it a day. Wife will be happy not having all the electronic clutter and I am happy not to spend all that extra money.😂
If you don't need the extra volume, do these sound as good as the Heresy's?
P.s These are going on me desk haha! Also using my old klipsch mod of damping the tweeter. At least until I get used to the sound. Also covers on until the living room.
What do you guys think the fives or the rp600m's paired with 400 dollars amp?
I’ve been watching different reviews for The Fives and they are all the same... except this one. This is unique and informative.
Edit: and I just purchased a pair
Me too,Zeos is a cool guy with his own unique humour!!
How's your experience been with these speakers? Thinking about buying them...
Would you go with these or the lsx from kef? And which of the two have the more limiters on volume vontrol. Cuz i find that a real Cappy feeling when i hear bass disappears as i go higher in volume
Would you compare these along with a 12inch woofer to a floorstanding at 800-1K pricerange?
I have a set of The Sixes. I have not heard The Fives yet, but I will say I have been in love with my Sixes since day one. Similar to the Fives, they have a crazy amount of bass, solid imaging, great build. They are not quite as modern looking, and they do seem to have more of a volume limit compared to the Fives. And since Klipsch is still selling the older Sixies for $499 right now. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in the fives but don't want to spend as much and are willing to have bigger speakers. Also, I'd be happy to let you borrow them Z.
Me too! I would go for the Sixes as well. Better looking for me
More of a volume limit?
@@zacharyshort384 Zeos said that The Fives can go up too loud and bottom out. The Sixes definitely get loud but even at max there is no bottoming out or distortion. But I wouldn't say its "kill me loud" like Z says. At Max volume its loud but it does feel like it could go louder if it wasn't limited.
@@murrayphoto01
But is that with or without the sub connected?
Without the sub, I see why they would distort at high volume. But with the sub connected, that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
@@bradhuskers @Brad rawsner no sub connected. And when you do connect a sub it doesn't not change the frequencies the speakers play. It does not cut off low end to the speaker like the Fives do. And the Sixes get loud for sure, just not as loud as maybe a large room with someone who wants it "kill me" loud. Lol
For vinyl, the Fives or Tuks?
Yay I want these
Best budget subs to pair with these? They to mix well tho
Hey Zios, been meaning to ask what's with the Kriss Vector and the AUG on the wall
Erick R seriously. When’s the review for those coming?!!?
Source for painting of Spike sitting on the Swordfish?
I was going to get the R-41PMs this review has convinced me to save up a few more rands and get The Fives. They sound so good🥺🤞🏽🤌🏽
So do they also sound that amazing just with digital inputs (optical/bluetooth/hdmi) ? Or do I have to use RCA connection with Phono? I didnt really understand when they sound best? Can someone explain?
Ok.
Before I drop a grand on the fives and a klipsch 10' sub, can you confirm that the fives are using the same ceramic tweeters from their reference series?
And the same drivers from their reference series as well?
And you had to have the fives paired with a sub, because your demo shook my GOT DAMN ford f-150's speaker system.
When I noticed the vector on the wall 😏✌️
I hope you can get your hands on the Amphion Argon 3S.
THIS GUY IS FUNNY HE NEEDS TO DO MORE REVIEWS!
Hi,
Which are the Best active speakers with a sub output ?
Because Edifier S3000pro don't have it and can't have the vanatoo ar swan where I live in Europe.
I was thinking about edifier the Sixes with a sub?
thanks and great channel
I watched half this video till now. I sold my klipsch ht. 2.1 for Theeze. Made me and waf wap go up. Love klipsch kinda before you.
What rifles are on your wall?
I would like to see how this stacks up with Edifier S3000pro. Edifier also looks great and does low end better, has greater tweeter and more power within around the same price bracket.
Thinking about this 2, buuuuuuut edi's ~700$ and the fives ~1k in my fckn counrty.
I bought a pair of gently used fives recently and I really like them. Someday I hope I can get nines but man I am poor. It's fine though, I really love these. At 40 years old I feel like I can listen to music in a nice way that I never had before.
Are these a big upgrade from rb42s? Soundwise?
"... and I'm gonna give this as a warning to people who are watching this video and made it more than like, I don't know what are we in, like 11 minutes?" 23:13
Zeos. How the F did you get your AC unit to stay up on that window? Also, I have the Sixes with an S.M.S.L M500 DAC. I love the combo. However, I'm thinking of another DAC. Just don't know which to invest in since the step up gets well, very stepped up.
Thanks!
It’s the Commando 8, that’s why
Anybody got the fives and the kef lsx to compare?
I paid $500 in 2022 for my set of The Fives and I am extremely happy with that purchase. I paired them with a Klipsch 10" Reference sub and it's just beautiful.
I wish I could afford another pair to put on my office desktop.
Man the rythmik has gone up in price. 3-4 years ago it was closer to $950. Now it's $1450
I’m still pretty new to the whole audio scene... can somebody explain to me the difference between having an equalizer on the speakers and, say, just using the equalizer on Spotify or any other app??? Is there a benefit to having the EQ controls ON the speaker as opposed to on an app?
I’ve heard a lot of people complain that they don’t have tone control on The Fives, but I don’t get why it matters when most sources you can connect to will already have that functionality.
what was that song at 35:56? haven't heard it in years, can't remember who it is!!
What speapker that you prefer for small room?
Help needed!!! Klipsch R 51 PM just connected to power gives noise continues noise like wind - why what´s wrong ?? Not even connected to Macbook just power cable and noise comes directly, please help me out, thank you.
do they turn off by themself ? BTW hdmi arc turns off the speakers usually, BUT only 1 hmdi arc ? how can those speakers work if i buy for example 2 pairs of it ??
and here iam with my JBL control one, will i be happy with those klipsch ? and ... is it possible to connect them into a 5.1 system ? because im planing to buy this klipsch soundbar with the two little rears- its not out yet. I think i love good quality sound but not loud , with good highs and mids ... bass is not so much mine
can i put them on the desk near the wall?
This is supposed to take a place of a soundbar. That the point of the hdmi on the BACK and plus this is better then any soundbar.
Are this better than a Q70R for music?
How do these compare vs the sixes
I currently have the Tuks and wonder if I should pick up a set of these? Are they better?
Weighing the same option. Did you ever make the Tuk-Fives comparison?
@@bbutler5090 nope I ended up going to a different set and the tuk is better.
@@scottvolkman5034 Interesting. Can’t find anyone saying anything at all critical about the Tuks. Thanks
Hello! Could you please help me with DAC issue question. Is there any need to buy middle price DAC (300-500$) or one, that placed inside will do the job if we talking about FLAC from my PC?
Hello! How are you? A very interesting and enlightening video. I have a question, which one would you recommend between the Klipsch The Fives, JBL 4305P and Kef lLS50 II Wirelles to listen to streaming music, watch DVD/Bluray movies and movies on Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc. Very good channel!!! Greetings from Argentina!
I just ordered mine from Audio Advice Sept 2022 Labor day $492, from Klipsch $499 wow! I'm glad I waited.
Keepers of the sound.
Pissing off the neighbors since 1946!
Kanto YU6 at $499 or the fives at $499?? I found these at Costco for $499. Any advice would help!
Witch speakers are better sounding?? The Fives or Edifier s3000pro?? What would you recommend?? Thanks
Wondering the same thing...
Bought the fives and theyre great but one issue. The primary left right switch is stuck. I returned the speakers and the new ones i received have the same issue. Anyone else running into this problem?
