Hi Zeos! I have a bit of a niche question for you. I'm an opera singer, and I'm having a hard time finding affordable speakers (250 or less/pair) that get loud enough to serve as my accompaniment with all the remote performing I'm doing right now (I am loud as hell). Sound quality is not the most important thing, as long as it's passable. Any idea where I can get the most blast for my buck?? I saw your old review on the BIC fh65s, but I wasn't sure if you had something better in mind. Thanks! I love watching your content, happy for you with your new house!
Passive speakers you may be able to get away with Jamo C803, Just crank them to 1000%, Self powered the JBL 306p are just out of that budget but should get loud enough.
@@ZReviews thank you! I'm currently using fluance SX6s, so hopefully the Jamos will make it further before distorting. Thank you for the recommendation!
@Lagunakid24 thanks for the reply! I actually have a set of Eris fives at home, they don't generate nearly enough SPL for my singing. when I say loud, I mean I can be heard over a 60 piece orchestra without a microphone-loud.... I've kind of figured out that I should probably just bump up my budget a little bit and get a small PA speaker. Looking at JBL IRX line right now.
Hello, and thank you for the review. I am about to purchase these speakers. You said that when you plug the subwoofer the speakers cut out the lower frequencies and let the sub do the work. Is it like the fives on this matter?
So after buying I quite like these overall. Really nice sound at my desk. I hear a slight hiss sitting a few feet away but only when no audio is on. Losing the remote would suck I think as I can’t think how you would switch inputs if you need that.
whats the difference in sound between these and the LN01 (passive) variant? there aren't any direct comparisons online, I'm assuming that the active has a lot like optimisation from the company but if the passive sound very similar then I may as well go those (they're pretty discounted where I am)
This is of course, an older review but, I really wish I'd jumped on the Triangle 40th Anniversary when I had the chance to! They just sit absolutely right with me. Not powered of course but, damn! They were so good!

listened them today in a shop, very nice and defined sound for the price but partialy covered , killed by overboosted low end...thats sad, And I kinda dont understand how good brand can do that with the speakers, it reminds me some genius computer speaker which you can buy for 50 bugs,
There goes another morning lusting after speakers...oh well, I probably won't buy these anyway. Happy with what I have. That said, I have the Triangle Zetas which are absolutely a beautiful sounding budget speaker by Triangle. Hooked up to a class D Aiyima amp and dac does what this does for under $350. But, they're no longer available. They use a Titanium tweeter but aren't harsh for me. Going to a soft dome probably makes this even smoother. If the price were under $500 with RCA and XLR inputs, a sub out and if they lose the internal dac they'd interest me more. To many dacs with decent pre abilities to care about an internal dac in powered speakers particularly if they add to the cost.
I may as well ask, I am looking at the Soncoz SGD1 and the SMSL SU-9. Any opinions on sound quality? The Soncoz uses 2 ES9038Q2M chips which have their own internal power supplies while the SMSL uses one ES9038 flagship dac. Which would be the better option or they they so close that features are the deciding factor? The most important thing aside from SQ is which provides a more 3D presentation (depth, instrument separation and space, width all adds to that) using external speakers? Any thoughts appreciated.
