      Hey man, how do you recommend to set up the audio? Usually I can find good projectors in my price range, but I'm unsure about how to get the audio from the Fire Stick to a soundbar. I don't wanna snake wires along the ground. Are bluetooth soundbars an option?

    Hello and thanks for sharing.
    I'm setting up a home theater in my basement, all new construction. Are you using an alexa compatible socket for the projector to turn it on? If not, how are you controlling the projector with alexa? I have a vankyo v360w projector. Thank you.
    Sorry I'm brand new to home automation. 😁

    • @diybuildandlife207
      @diybuildandlife207  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching. Good luck with the construction. You don't need any specific alexa compatible switches. The fire tv stick will automatically control your projector if you can find it in the manage equipment list when you set up the fire tv stick. That is how it also controls the receiver etc because it has prebuilt codes available for the devices in it's list.

    Hello DIY Build and Life. I have recently bought myself a 4K Firestick to use on my LG 75' Tv and my LG surround sound home theatre system. I have problems getting the surround sound on when watching Firestick, The surround sound works fine with just my cable tv, I have noticed when the sound does come thru the 5.1 speakers and the surround sound unit displays the word ARC. I cant seem to get it to work again. Any ideas please?
    Regards
    Nick

    Our receiver (Samsung) is in an A/V closet upstairs from the tv connected to the home theater/surround sound. Will a firestick still work in this situation? What about voice control - will I need to somehow get an Echo dot downstairs to act as a relay? Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the firestick in the receiver to control the tv/Directv/surround sound speakers and a blu-ray player. Is this even doable?

    • @diybuildandlife207
      @diybuildandlife207  3 роки тому

      The remote does not require a line of sight to the fire tv stick. I believe it connects to the fire stick over wifi. Using Wi-Fi has an advantage of about 100ft range vs the 30ft with Bluetooth. So I am assuming this should work. Best way to find out is to try it out. Please subscribe to my channel.
