Just found you searching for hidden door hinge tutorials. Loved your vid and watched this cerimony. Congrats and welcome to the melting pot. Not all of us will welcome you, but true Americans will with open arms. I hope all the best for you.
Thank you
Thank you sir for your effort making this vid. It was clear and helped me out quite a bit. I do a lot of sketchup and hadn't thought to use it to plot out the clearances. Brilliant!
You are welcome
This is very useful, well filmed and explained! Thanks. Great idea too to use the cardboard templates to check clearances.
I want to build one it will swing out same like yours. My question is about the hinge placement were do they go? On the middle of door or closer to the back of door or ocloser to the front of door thanks hope to here from u soon before i get started thanks u so much and great video
Change your smoke detector batteries banshoot
Any concerns about weight with this hinge system? Bought mine and it seems rather flimsy
Thanks for the video, very helpful!
You are welcome
You actually explained the hinges better than I’ve seen anyone else
Thank you
Planning pretty much the same build, and my one question here is if there is a reason why you didn't just put the joists directly underneath the frame? They're a few inches down from the top of the frame. I've seen other people using the jack stud method like you've done here do the same thing. The way I had originally planned it out was to put the joists directly underneath the frame, and preserve as much physical space underneath as possible. Just curious if there's a good reason why not to.
Great video. Thank you.
You are welcome
Thank you so much brother, i have a really really tiny studio and this will save so much space for me, thank you for the hints, i'm planning to do that here. The hinges i can't find on my country (the exact model) but i can import from China and are cheap even with taxes.
Step one: Find a wife.
Or a kid
Clever ideas. I'm in a similar situation and need to make room for space, or like you, setup for better use of space
Glad you found it helpful
Awsome. How will you install the black panels on 4 sides of the screen ? Won't they fall off ?
They are anchored to tabs. I show them in the video. Take a look at the detailed screen build video.
My daughter has a backyard like yours! A whole lot of dirt was piled up in the corner and we didn’t know what to do with it! This gives us a great idea…but I am grandma of an active 5y.o. boy. No men able to help. So,maybe? Thank you for sharing 😊❤
Appreciate it
Very informative. Love how you explained about your fix for walls sections that weren’t flush. Great job!
Thank you. Glad it was helpful
great video, great examples, and great job!
Thank you
Thanks so much for this great step-by-step video. I liked it so much, you compelled me to write my first comment on a video (I'm not kidding). The use of the template was genius. Lots of good information, but that alone was worth the watch.
Much appreciated
Those pivots are called a walking beam pivots
Thank you.
Do you have any pictures of the cyclone, and how you put the inlet snd outlet in?
Nice cable managment🤣
Thank you
Good job, congratulations.... what is this type of hinge called????
Pivot hinge
What a beautiful creation. Love it.
Thank you
This is the play-by-play I needed. I was thinking of using large, SOSS hinges but these pivot-style hinges are clearly the way to go, much easier. The most important parts for me were using the cardboard visualization and the when you specifically notated where each piece of moulding was attached (to the wall or to the door). I will be working on a large, odd-shaped door using finished wood, so being precise will be very important. It's a cliché at this point, but generous people like you make UA-cam the best practical education for learners like me.
Glad it helped
Love this! Thank you so much for taking time to explain steps and making this video. It really helped me as a beginner. God blesses you!
Great
How high is the ceiling? You just used regular recessed lights? Not high output? Was it enough light? I have a job to do but thinking the light will not be bright enough
You don’t have to say Alexa if you are pushing the button. Just say the command. Nice video
Good video thanks . But i have 1 question how to now were to fix the hardware to turn the door 😅
That's what I explained in the video about modeling the hinge swing on something like SketchUp
Thank you very much sir... Recently I installed fire TV to my denon 3800x receiver.
Great
No need to say alexa when you press the button on remote
I know
Please... for the sanity of everyone involved, change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Lol
?
not funny all my Alexas are going Banans. once was bad enough!!! now im screaming at alexa not to order netflixs !
Yess... This is exactly what I was looking for... Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation
You are welcome
Very nice, especially the boom arm. With this level of dust collection I think you just need something to clean the air of the finest particulates and you'd be set.
Yes exactly. Maybe a wen filter can be put on ceiling. Also perhaps next steps would be to upgrade to a canister filter on the collection side.
Pulling it up from down below via rope is genius, thanks for the video
Thank you
Hello! The lights appear wonderful. I'm interested in knowing the lumens of the led lights you used. I have a ceiling of similar height, and I'm wondering if exceeding 1200 lumens might make the room overly bright. Additionally, were you able to incorporate a Kelvin temperature switch into the setup?
Great Video i have the same setup but why the sounds low and no vibrations as bass? still low..
I think you watched the one where I had a Klipsch subwoofer. I have since upgraded to dual matrycubes. Check out that video and the effects.
You did a great job. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Why?
Cool I am just learning how to do that
Did you ever have any luck figuring it out? i have the exact same problem
I too have a high ceiling and want to add a few recessed lights. I thought of the attic approach but I was just a bit nervous of how safe it would be to move through the attic without falling down. Also I was thinking on how to get the recess light install from the back - the rope idea was brilliant I didn't think about it. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see it helped.

Hi I have a 20ft ceiling and I need to replace the builder provided recessed mount LED light. Did you get a ladder rental? If so, do you have any recommendation?
No I did not get a ladder rental. See the video to know how I did it.
Absolutely amazing video. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much.
Glad it was helpful!
what is the fabric that is been used
Its on the video
I have a TV with 2 HDMI Port and 1 HDMI ARC Port. Can I connect the Fire stick to one of the HDMI Port and home theatre (5.1) to HDMI ARC Port? Will that provide 5.1 surround sound?
Yes I believe it will. Try it out
@@diybuildandlife207 My TV doesn't have support for Dolby Audio. So can I run Dolby Digital 5.1 by using an Amazon Fire stick ( connected with my Sony HT S20R 5.1)?
Misleading. You didn't do anything on the Firestick and I don't have a Denon amp with that adjustment.
You need to elaborate what is misleading. You don't see the db increase after changing the source level?
