I shed some tears watching part one, so raw and real and filled with emotions, I love the honesty and especially the feeling of nervousness! Got me itching for more. Hope all is well! Can't wait for more to come.
Thank you Chase :) yeah I figured emotions are really important to talk about as you can't prepare for how you're feeling the day before. It was definitely the hardest week of my life. Much harder than the wait for T in the final hurdles (and that was awful lol). Just shows how bad my chest dysphoria was and how much I needed the operation.
Thankyou so much for sharing such an intimate part of your life.ive just been trying to research Dr kneeshaw as my son was referred to him a month ago.hes only 19 and I hope his operation goes well.im so happy for you.Congratulations x
Thank you for your lovely comment. Your son's in good hands but I imagine like my fiancee it's not easy watching him go through a major surgery. Kneeshaw is really nice, and definitely a morning person too lol xD Feel free to message me/comment if you have any further questions :)
Good luck with your recovery! Hope it is going well. Thanks for the video, I’m having surgery with Mr Kneeshaw later this year so your updates are super helpful!
I love your partner. I know exactly what she is talking about. I have a pretty severe gene defect and have several surgeries a year. I never knew what my husband went through until he had a pretty severe surgery two years ago. I was a freakin' mess.
That was one of the things I was most worried about, in that for me it's easy because I'm unconscious for a few hours, whereas Becky and the family would have to wait through that. She really is amazing. :)
Thank you for sharing your journey!! I'm getting surgery with Mr Kneeshaw next week and this series has helped alleviate some worries and just make me feel so much more prepared! Just one question - at 18:38 you mention having underwear that you had to wear for 2 weeks but only got 1 pair - but then that wasnt mentioned again. was that something particular and did you manage to sort that? Is it something I should look for and buy in advance? Thanks so much and hope your life post-surgery over these last few years has been one of joy
@@grayeliwood3100 Hey, congratulations on your big day being almost here! Yeah it was the compression socks. I ended up just wearing them and then trying to wash/dry them quickly but it didn't really work lol. But you can get compression socks easily on Amazon or something. They need to be full length and as tight as you can stand. Hope next week goes smoothly!
@@TheRogueDM ahh okay thank you! I thought it was some kind of boxers type underwear and got a bit worried, but compression socks I can do! Thanks for the advice and encouragement!!
Sorry if this is invasive, but how much did it cost? I'm currently saving up and was wondering if you could maybe give me a range? I realise everyone will be different but it will just give me a general goal to aim for. Thanks and no worries if not! I know a lot of people aren't comfortable discussing money and things. Thanks :)
No not at all, you're not the first to ask me. Bear in mind this was 3 years ago and prices have gone up (as well as waiting lists getting longer). But I paid £7246 or thereabouts for the operation, all the hospital facilities etc. and the post op session to get the drains out. On top of that the consultation was £200 if memory serves. My revision was free. Kneeshaw and his team do do a payment plan at the Spire if you're not able to pay it in one go.
Hi Tyler, sure! Bear in mind his prices may have increased. But I paid £7264 for surgery (including hospital stay, food etc.) and £160 for initial consultation. Follow-up appointments and any revisions are free of charge.
LoneWolf ok cool, thank you so much. I won’t be able to get surgery for a while as unaccepting parents and stuff, but I’m glad I found ur video coz kneeshaw is only an hour away from where I live and I thought I would have to travel to London. Thanks so much for the help.
I haven’t watched through the video so i’m sorry if u mentioned it but how much did you pay (if u don’t mind) and was it for double incision? very happy for u, hope you’re healing very well.
Thank you! I'm almost a year post op now and have had my revision to remove dog ears, so I'm healing up from that. :) Going private at The Spire cost just over £7K for the operation, and £165 for consultation. I did indeed have double incision but whether you have peri or DI doesn't affect price.
BecomingJayson Thank you for getting back so soon really appreciate it as i’ve been stressing about waiting times and prices and who to go to and all of that. Thank you, thank you ,thank you. xxx
@@jaceritchie4090 That's OK, anyone who asks about surgery with me presumably is needing to know for themselves or someone they know. I hope you get your surgery soon.

Your partner is SO sweet. I loved hearing that perspective
Isn't she just. I couldn't have done any of this without her. :)

Hi mate, I know you had surgery a while ago now but congrats. Would you mind telling how much Dr kneeshaw’s double Incision costs??
