Woof woof from the dog house and the un-garage sale! This is my personal theme song. I wish Jim would talk more about neurodivergent people. We're on the misunderstood static radio station. He gets it. 🌽🌎🌽
One of the very few things I dwell on is why this man is not hugely, monumentally, awesomely famous. But then on this Planet of the Apes I realise that talent and fame are not intrinsically linked.
Heard this song on WYSO-FM Yellow Springs Ohio 20 years ago and it started me on my musical journey with Jim White. I only know of one other person that has listened to him and have no clue why he isn't more popular.
Sometimes you throw yourself into the sea of fate, And the sharks of doubt come and they devour you. Other times you throw yourself into the sea of faith Only to find the treasure lost in the shipwreck inside of you... For those who dwell on disaster let sorrow be THEIR master
I first heard him on Breaking Bad- his crazy song Word Mule. Reminds me a lot of Tom Waits. Also his hauntingly beautiful song Static on The Radio was on the closing credits of El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Love his stuff. Genius and deeply insightful lyrics. His album "Drill a hole..." is his best!
Another extremely talented artist that too many people have never heard of.
His music has taken me places nothing else has. ❤
One of favorites of recent decades. Wish he had a more unique name, it’d easier to find his songs. An absolute genius. Thanks to David Byrne for this!
One of the greatest unknown artist of this planet!
Very true !
Word!!
Sadly yes
his music is like magic, it blasts my heart to pieces....
No Such Place is a great album
Been listening to Jim since I got this gem

Agree. Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus is one of the best albums ever made.
So damn true! I’ll second that !

Was just introduced to Jim via WWOZ spinning a new release of his "Divided America" and am sold on him.
He should be all over Outlaw Country on Sirius XM.
Great song!
