More tips: 1. Right click on the world map to place a pin, the path will be shown on world map and mini map. very useful on focusing on specific quest or point on map. 2. Press Space when hovering mouse over an item in the inventory to mark it as Junk. Next time you at blacksmith/vendor -- salvage/sell all Junk items with one click.
Actually I found out that salvaging all your items is a much worse option than selling some - money is harder to come by than crafting materials, and you won't be using these crafting materials as often as money in the beta. Also the crafting mats of course don't move to the actual release of the game.
Yeah at first money seemed useless till I could upgrade my legendaries or good weapons. Getting 1 iron ore for fucking some rare item is ridiculous. Have yet to really be able to craft anything so we will see at launch.
I've been curious on the best strategy for this. I was salvaging yellows and selling all blues, etc. As you reach the 20s, yellow start selling for 1k+, so not sure the best approach.
@@benbaum8183 yeah thats probably your best best. Those yellow shards are needed for upgrading and for legendary aspects. And I never seemed to have enough, same with gold. So its a tough choice. Probably best to sell when you need gold and when you start running low on the shards you salvage the yellows in hopes for the shards. My luck was crap last weekend though. I couldn't get legendaries to drop for the life of me. My wife got like 4 in an hour when she hopped on to play and I didn't get a single one in like 6 hours. I had to gamble and managed to get 2 that way in like 6 gambles so that was nice. By the end of the weekend with 3 max lvl characters on only had 6 legendaries across all 3 and only 4 of those were drops. So, pretty typical for my bad luck I guess.
Remember you can click on the entrance of dudgeon in the map to be ported back outside the dungeon, or open up the emote/chat wheel and select leave dungeon.
This is so much more in depth than any other Diablo. Can see you playing this a lot moving forward and with it MMO like now seems like it will be never ending lol
Selling items after I dismantled for a few mats, was the easiest and FASTEST way to make gold for rerolls, extractions etc I get between 30k-40k gold per full inventory. Selling items IS the best way to make gold in the beta
I should be used to your high-quality guides by now, but I'm still amazed by how much insight you can get out of such a small fraction of a game. Thanks for all the info!
I reached like lvl 22 or so in the closed beta, so I just need a few more levels. Then I can try out one the new classes, enjoyed the first weekend quite a bit.
New subscriber here, and man not only are your Diablo 4 vids the best on the platform (also what led me to your channel) but your content in general is effin top shelf 👌😎
Personally, if the character would be ported to the final game I would play, but since it's not, would rather go in fresh in June. I love that Diablo listened to alot of player complaints and addressed them...kinda sucks about the always online thing but I'm guessing that was a hard requirement from management.
Regarding barb, despite the lack of progressing on weapon skills, I leveled this class first and found no difficulties or disadvantages. In fact it was most enjoyable and typical destroyer barbarian play.
one thing i just recently learned in another video is that you can teleport out of dungeons by clicking the entrance from the map once they are complete...had no idea while playing last weekend.
In the play test last year, when I did the Druids expertise quest it was over near where the Barbarians is. So unless they've moved it you won't be able to do that one either. Just a heads up :)
This is gonna be my first time playing Diablo so I appreciate those kinda guide cause I know I’m gonna be a bit lost and the time is very limited so it’s gonna help a lot
I gotta say, ever since the beta ended Monday, I’ve been dying to get back in and continue playing, which for myself, is a great sign. I’m stoked for the full release. I think Blizz has a winner with this one.
This! Some of these reviews are so full of negative group-think (is someone *really* so upset over the item UI or font that they're "never playing again"?) and I had so much fun that I'm going to have withdrawals before June. I don't need this game to be Diablo 2 all over again; besides, everyone pining for that already got D2 Resurrected, lol. I'm thrilled by what I saw, and remember that literally every Diablo game has massively improved after release. If what we just saw is the worst possible version of this game then I am beyond excited for what this will be.
@Brent Neal Activists love using botnets to feign disinterest. They're just mad Blizzard exists ever since the scandals they've been through. Diablo 4 will be the 1st Bliz game I buy
Selling and salvage is a balance as intended. Do what it is needed at the time. I sold way more than salvage and never needed mats. Always needed gold. Item Power is a multiplier for attack power except on jewelry. Affixes are less important in terms of raw damage. A higher level Blue item with no affixes and only armor will provide more damage than a lower level rare with DPS affixes.
being a Beta...there really is no mistakes or wrong or right. It's there to experience, try, explore, play. it doesn't matter if you die a 100 times or not at all. There is No Wrong Build...since everything will change and be wiped...you are not keeping anything. My goal was and is to play each character to see the skills, experience, the skill tree, explore the map and in general just try as much as possible. I've laughed at the "Build Guides"...for a beta...just go out and play...
Salvage untill about level 10. then sell sell sell. It's easier to farm a dungeon or 2 at level 25 to salvage then it is to save up 1mil which is basically what you need if you upgrade everything at 25
most efficient xp way in this beta is set game to easier mode, rush thrue main questline, after that change gamemode to harder one and farm dungeons for xp
Selling unneeded loot is superior to salvaging them. You will need quite a bit of gold for respecs and weapon upgrades. But you have little use for the salvaged materials in beta. Since progress will be deleted after the beta, you cannot stockpile them for later anyway. So, just sell all.
Agreed, once you have a nice drop you are happy with, its 200-500k to fully upgrade it, socket it, get the right aspect and reroll. There is no way you'll be gathering that through just random events looting gold drops
thats one thing i couldnt get a grasp on since other games usually do it by level etc. When is it right time to start doing dungeons or just stick to story/side quests?
I think an easy buff for Barbarian is to give a slight increase in fury and/or the loss out of combat. It seems odd that a Sorc can regen mana like it's nothing but Barb gets punished with fury. Then again if barb is only weak on certain skills in the first 25 lvls then that should be their focus. The melee grief in dungeons is next level though. I hope they fix that post release.
Remember that Barb has extra item slots. So if Barb scales well, that will fix some of the issues but they'll also have the opportunity for some extra weapon affixes late game that other classes won't. I would think it's safe to assume that some endgame affixes will also be stronger than what we've seen thus far, too. And we didn't even get to finish the class specialty quest for Barb in the beta; Sorceress and Rogue both had some of that unlocked in the first 25 levels with the passives and combo points/marksman stuff. It doesn't make sense to sweat or think about balance for the first fraction of the game, honestly. There may not need to be a fix at all. We just don't know.
I cant even join the open beta i waiting 30mins forr que then after i have 10min left i got an error attempt on que then i have to wait 50mins for que damn
Actually you're wrong on attributes. All are shared the same for different classes. Eg intelligence gives crit chance for melee, strenght gives armor to ranged as well etc...
Y'know, THANK YOU for telling people that just because the green arrow is there it doesn't mean it's automatically an upgrade. I've seen supposedly "expert" channels like Ziz whining about itemization and that you can just equip what has an arrow, which made me wonder if they ever read anything for the stats. Their argument was the benefits were so low per point that it didn't matter, yet at a low level those smaller amount of attribute points contribute a lot.

The only thing I like to add to your video, is for people who play on the PC. Many people have trouble with moving and attacking. Grab a controller instead of using the keyboard and mouse.
