what repair doesnt know that the sata connector was torn off the board itself. i would be questioning the quality of the repair shop. 2 great repairs joey.
2 options for me. 1. It went in for repair for something else and they broke the SATA port and the owner didn't realise. I have a series x and it has never seen a disk. Never. Had it a while now. or 2. They tried to repair something and broke the port putting it back together and thought they had broke it even more.
Damn dude! You make it look so easy, but now i realized ive been using too low and wide heat, waiting for same hot air station as you from affiliate link. Been playing with just received Ts 101, really noob in soldering, but learned ALOT from your videos! Keep up the good job!
You probably won't see this message anyway since your video is 12 hours old at this point, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway because if you do see it, you might get a kick out of it. I recently ran into a similar issue as you did on this video. I bought a Switch Lite on eBay for cheap, which was labeled as "Does not turn on. For parts." Beautiful condition, looked like it had never been opened. Perfect, I thought! Bought it, and when it came in the mail, I gave it a once-over. Screws looked untouched, everything looked in place. I opened it up, and the first thing that greeted me was that the battery connector on the motherboard had been completely torn off the board! That's it. Goneso. It was still attached to the battery itself, but just flapping around since it had been ripped off. So, somebody at some point had opened it up for some unknown reason (it was still the original battery), ripped off the pad, said "oh crap", and listed it on eBay for parts. 10 minutes of work, a new connector later, and it works perfectly! Sometimes you wonder what the heck these systems have gone through.... Oh and of course, I didn't make a video of this system, thinking it was a different problem entirely. D'oh! Missed opportunity. Regardless, well done on both repairs! Always an enjoyable video.
Nice!! Thankfully in my case, none of the pads were ripped or traces torn (again..... HOW!??!). So I'm sure my repair ended up being a lot easier. Now if only I would invest in a hot air station, so I didn't have to do it by hand; that would've made the job so much more enjoyable!
Great vid as usual, and i don't even use consoles/gaming products, lol. Would be great to see you venture into other types of gadgets other than consoles. You're getting better every time I watch.
Look how well the spreadsheet is doing! C'mon, Sally, Joey deserves a board heater and an ultrasonic cleaner, the workshop needs some more sweet upgrades.
Great video joey absolutely love the content I learn more and more from you every day just wanted to say I think the video title is misspelt is it supposed to be previous 😊 hope you doing good anyway bud
Fantastic repairs Joey, I thoroughly enjoy watching these videos, they remind me that I have zero knowledge/am absolutely useless when it comes to electronics, so at least I can be entertained by someone that DOES know how to repair things haha. Maybe one day I will learn to repair electronics. Do you have a total end goal for the profit on Sally’s spectacular spreadsheet? What do you intend to do with the profits (if any) and why is the answer get a bigger desk? 🤣🤣🤣
Great fix! Still curious why they opened the series X in the first place as the broken SATA connector looks like the only problem, which was probably damaged by them opening it.
Joey, what can you tell me about the mount and arm that you're using w/ your microscope..I have the same microscope...what arm and mount and you using?
Joey would you mind and send me the formula for Sally's spreadsheet as I would like to keep an eye on my stock and sale's. Ps just love what you do so informative..
SSD failiure is RIP unless you have a SSD copy machine and a spare drive ..then you need to pray it copies the Key over as it's tied to the motherboard. you were lucky it wasn't that, great fix on the xbox
That Xbox was a nice find, I love when I see lucky fixes. Do you honestly think you'll make 1k profit? ( only cus the eBay stuff seams like it's hit and miss)
Can someone explain these kids there wasn't any 5V rail, because that was 4,5 witch was the exact half of 9V from the beginning. And both weren't 12V, because housing wasn't always pairing with garage sales, d'you know?! Plus, that's why some of 'em hated racing cars with 24V on board. Namastè.
The thing with repairing consoles for YT videos is that at least you get some revenue from the video which helps negate any loss you might make. I know you need A LOT of views to make decent money but every little helps. The live streams have been great BTW and taking items apart to see what they do helps everyone even if the problem is software. The latest stream with the PS2 is a classic example of this, because of your video, and the mistakes, I'm gonna fix my PS2 that's been sat here for the last 10 years.

@@gavinbar1988 think they must have been very careless
You smashed it man! The switch with water damaged seemed tough but you fixed it without any problems!
Always a pleasure good sir! Thank you for making my day a little better.
Darksy! Thank you so much ☺️ Appreciate the support!
Honestly you’re making me feel to get some ports and tackle a couple Nintendo Switch consoles. Good work man really enjoying the series
@10:20 I was so excited for it I used your link and bought one immediately! waiting to receive it now :D
Yaaaay Joey Success! and I echo the comments about the previous repair shop!
Would be good to know soldering iron temperatures you use
Wow. 2 great fixes! WTG Joey!

Always again really amazing to see that most of the time all of the Switches have the same issues.
Love to see the profits climb
Nice work Joey, I’ve repaired a broken sata cd rom ports in the passed.

Thank you :) I done a repair recently putting a battery connector back on, all traces torn but got it sorted in the end :)
Nice!!

Really good! You got lucky with that series X but your experience has made the difference. Two for two and Sally is happy. Let's go!

Sally’s happy this week.
Hi Joey, thanks for the great content. I been seeing all episodes using the playlist and I notice this episode is not in the playlist.
It would be cool to see the up and down of the total. Like maybe as a line graph

Fix the title I spent the entire video trying to figure out what was precious. Just to realize at the end was supposed to be previous
Me too 😂
Fixed sorry :)
Awesome Mr. Joey! 😁

Happy joey great repairs 🎉
There garbage once the SSD fails you can't update and they brick
You can clone the ssd, thecod3r has done it
@@joshkelly4682yes but if the ssd is broken to much it probably cannot be copied I think.
@@AA-xm7rt the ssd was was bad and he copied it
@@joshkelly4682 yes but what if the data got corrupted. He did it because the date wasn't curpted I assume.
the thumbnail looks like a wifi or bluetooth antenna, that was fun
Bro it says precious instead of Previous. Good work as always though and looking forward to watching.
It is springtime and green is appearing on Sally’s spreadsheet 😀👍
Congrats to your daughter Joey! Mastering potty time isnt an easy feat.
Massive W for sally!
my precious

Costs are probably low but why don’t you account for flux solder etc it probably adds up over the series of repairs
quality video keep it up

Nice before I finished the viseo
nice video mable :)
I'm confused with the first one, why was it even opened in the first place?
Can anyone explain to me what inside of M92T36 is breaking? Like what's in there that's getting fried?
Where can I buy from you?
2/2 Gg Joey 🎉
So strange Nintendo would instal a fuse that never trips. wHaTs the point?
nice
what type of flux do you use?

He broke the connectir perfectly if you think about it muhaha :)
Microsoft really needs to do away with that mess.
Let's goooooo!
? how long have you been an electronics tech?
gg 😊
I'd buy from you in a jiffy! ;)
9:23 garbage design. So many of these consoles have crushed portholes. And we know why. The docker is really badly designed.
