Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today we have a trailer loaded with an unknown weight of materials with one leg that punched through soft ground and is leaning heavily. Soft ground, unknown weight, and an old trailer make this job difficult before it even gets started. I'm by myself with this task. Just me and Tator, our Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R Rotator towing and recovery unit. My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10," applies here. I could have approached this job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result safely.
I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!
Mixing up the intros. Went back to my traditional intro for this video. Thanks again and God bless.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

When I first saw the trailer I thought one leg had collapsed. I didn't realize the leg had just sunk into the mud. Good job!
Great job , Ron. You always come up with a safe solution to any problem.
Your recovery bill is going to be more than what that trailer was worth.
Looks like the two things working in your favor was the structural integrity of the trailer, and that the leg was only sunk not bent.
No Arc nemesis ⚡️
But of course Ron cant tell if the leg is bent or just sunk straigth down.
Firstly Ron, it’s great to have the usual intro music back. Even though the trailer AND it’s content’s looked ready for the scrapyard, you still treated it with care and consideration. There were however a number of times when it looked as if disaster was just around the corner. Keep safe and very best wishes to you and yours from the UK.
The trailer wasn't that bad. It is perfectly fine and just slunk in the ground due to it being soft.
@@1965Gindy watching this towing channel and Jamie Davis, it's amazing how much twist a truck and trailer can take and be fine when put on the wheels
Sitting here at Rhodes truck stop right down the road from your shop watching one of my favorite UA-camrs
I'm not at the shop yet, but will be in about an hour. Thanks and God bless.
I will be here for a little while I would love to meet you if that would be possible I'm in a blue KW with a yellow step deck trailer with car hauler trailers on it
I'm at the shop now.
Happy Friday. Funny having a trl lift video today when I heard about one of my company's driver released the fifth wheel and removed air/electrical lines and pulled out from under fully loaded trl of bottled water. I'm sure somebody had some fun getting that trl back up.
Good morning Mr Ron be safe and have a bless day and prayers for your family and employees
Yup that's a fun one, pity you couldn't weight for the weather to dry out.
Great technique
Good morning Ron and Crew!!! You always seem to find a safe way to make the best of a bad situation. God bless and stay safe!!
Time and pressure lifted that leg right out. I would have been tempted to drill a small hole in the front of that junk trailer to let the water out. Probably would have been an EPA cleanup LOL
Trailer would have falken apart lol
@Rags722 Yeah I was thinking same thing about drilling a hole, but that might would of made the structural integrity weaker.
@@ramrod6279 a small hole wouldnt have made much difference tbh, and can be welded closed after if you can find something there solid enough to weld on
Seems there's a bung hole cap there in the front. Sorta dark. Might be too rusty to loosen.
Awesome , Thanks Ron
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Good to see your experience shown with this unknown load. Good video Ron
Hey Ron !! GREAT JOB even if you DIDN"T like the situation !! Thanks !!
Good morning you all be safe I'm recovering from a car wreck lost my mom in that wreck
My prayers are with you and your. May God send you healing and peace.
@Rebecca Daugherty I'm so sorry for your loss Rebecca. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my mom back in 2008. Not a day passes that I don't feel her connection from the other side. Be it within something that someone says. A song. Or even a task at hand. Always know, even though she has crossed that bridge of life. The connection and bond that you two have. Will never cease.
I was devastated. My mother was, oddly like a daughter to me. I was my mother's keeper as well as my brothers. I chose that role it's okay.
And she told the family the one that's going to be the most devastated will be my daughter. Boy she nailed that. Well she nails practically everything. Haha little inside joke. My mother had a huge run in with one of those automatic nail guns. Three hospital trips in one day. Hahaha God I miss her so much.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Much love to you and yours.
So sorry for the loss of your mother. I hope God can give you the peace to heal and cope with that. Hugs
My sympathy and condolences to you and yours.
Prayers going to you and your family so sorry for your loss
Good job
Good Morning My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff Today
I like the old intro....nothing like that music beat!!
I know it's a work truck but to see it so clean in that dirt and mud. 🙈
Although, as you indicated, there were multiple ways to complete this job, I am always amazed at your careful analysis, patience, and steadiness to finalize the job safely. The depth of experience you have always comes into play in these jobs. How to pass on that experience and practical know-how is another avenue for future thought and implementation for you. Keep up the splendid work. Appreciate the videos greatly. Thanks.
That antique trailer has seen better days.
Well done. I was very impressed how quickly you sorted this.
I guess you got that sinking feeling when you saw that trailer!
Hopefully Ron will rise to the challenge!
Thanks for another great video, God bless.
You never get to pick your conditions and you have to play the hand you are dealt with. But as hopeless as this appears you usually find a way to make it work and in most cases help's your clients out. So the wet dirt was the reason for the collapse of the underpinning(legs of the trailer)?
They real should not have park it there!
It looks to have been, though the legs seem to have sunk more than collapsed
Last Sunday was in mid seventies, not free even close to that since. We have had frequent rain and some days only time not cloudy was late in the afternoon when would clear up a little and have colorful sunsets. Was thinking you might . need to call for Mike and some of the others. First time have seen the angle metal pieces used this way. Think is called thinking outside the box.
Another great recovery in far from perfect conditions, you got the job done,I'm sure you'll get lots of comments
Lunch with Mr Ron, it must be Friday.
David in the UK.
A logistical nightmare, Ron always wins🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I didn’t see his Arc nemesis ⚡️
I might need to watch the whole thing - - don't understand the Union Jacks, and assume somebody means an Ark instead of arc. But whichever, mud is Not a friend of trucks!
@Nancy. Arc* as in arc of electricity. (Overhead power lines)
Thought about you yesterday, saw a tanker that I think had gotten blown off I-35 down a bridge embankment up north in Iowa and I thought, "I wonder how Ron would tackle that ?" Tractor was still attached and it was laying on its side down about 50ft off the road.
Great job ron
Hello, Ron, and as always thank you for making these videos. I watch a lot of recovery guys and hands down you are the best!
You surprised me with putting that angle iron in there with the angle up instead of down. I was speaking to the video "Ron are you sure you want to do that?" Overall well and safety done!
I see fresh white and blue paint! Looks nice...
2:46 That's why they called the profession Ron!
Good Morning Ron, another lovely video, of you working on your own, as you said before, "there are many way to make ten" so you did what was needed to raise the right-hand side of this articulated trailer, whilst still making sure the left side was also safe, and supported as well then put it back on two stands to stop it sinking again, until a tractor unit hitches up to it, nice one Ron, already looking forward to the next video, many blessings to you and your families and co workers, as always stay safe and well, be blessed, John In Wales 🏴 in the UK 🇬🇧 . . ✝️
Leave a disclaimer with that one." Don't park it like this again! " next time we charge double lol
LOVE THE VIDEOS
This fascinates me watching how you have learned the math to know how to do this. I have great respect now for all Tow truck businesses.
Me thinks someone needs to walk the yard more often. That trailer had been sinking for a while. Great job, Ron.
Not always, ive known trailers be fine on asphalt and less than an hour later be sunk enough the nose is on the ground... somethimes these events can happen remarkably quickly.. more yard walks will help but by no means prevent
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to visit with me on Thursday 4-28-22
Not a problem. Nice to have met you. God bless and safe travels.
Ron, have you ever had to turn down a job that you felt was just too dangerous for you and your crew?
Love the video Ron keep up the good work
Wow that was looking dangerously close to tipping over. Glad you got it up safely Ron. I sure hope y'all don't get any tornadoes. I'll be praying that you don't. God Bless and be safe out there
Thanks for going back to the original theme music. Love it. Love it.
Old tires + rain = heavy. 😁
Excellent job Ron.
It is always interesting to see which approach you use to do the job. Thanks Ron.
Some people always seem to have a "soft spot" for old trailers.
Soft ground, lots of weight and small landing feet makes for a bad combination...
never been up close to one of those rigs, pretty fancy setup
I can watch youre videos everyday all day , you do an amazing job , keep us updated on youre work
Another leaner straighten out. Thank you Ron for doing an excellent job. God Bless You
Hard Mode. No Problem. Nice save. Stay safe and bless ya!
Loved it. Great job. Terrible roadway to try to have support while lifting that trailer. By the way, love your FLAG on the home screen. Old Glory still waves.
Pleased you have gone back to the old title page. A traditionalist. Thank you.
Great job as usual Ron. Amazing truck!
ANOTHER JOB WELL DONE RON. GOD BLESS YOU.
I love your channel .I have done this for 25 yrs
4:16 "We are here to do a job I will figure out a way to do it" You 1st point out all the negatives when you roll up on a job, then assess what it is you need to do to get the job done and overcome the obstacles... Then you just execute the plan (safely and cautiously) and adjust for any situations that arise... Absolutely Just Love everything about your work ethic & especially Your Positive Attitude Ron...!!!👍👍👌👌
Thanks for your service and support and God bless you sir 🙏 and thanks again regards Tony 💙
Awesome job. Love the way you are determined to make a bad situation look like it is so blamed easy.
You Always do a Excellent and Safe Job!!!
Another fine job well done. I so enjoy watching how you work out each job depending on the situation at hand. My husband and I used to do tree work and that, in a sense, is somewhat similar to what you face with each job. Some parts of the job are a given routine and others you have to use your noodle for something other than a hat rack. As the old adage goes, necessity is the mother of invention. God bless you, your family and your guys who are so dedicated to doing a great job for you. Just know you all are in my prayers nightly. Stay safe out there.
Didn't look "straight forward ' to me-- looked DANGEROUS... that is one sketchy MESS.. I'd almost say- leave it til the ground dries-- because in that kind of dirt road- even DRY it's not stable!!!
I thought the same thing but it could of tipped over into the creek and caused a whole other mess..
Wow, wow, wow 👌. That was not as simple a recovery as it may have first appeared. As always an excellent job was done by Ron and a absolutely pleasure to watch.
Take care and God Bless.
I really like your wrecker. I drove 39 yrs
Fabulous, well thought out approach that was safe. Thanks for sharing. God Bless!
Another great job done
great to see intro back
Howdy howdy Ron how you been
👍✊Nice work Ron.
Sometimes in life we just don't like what we see, however, never give up for there's always a solution to the job. YOU did a fine job on straightening out this problem child!
Thank you Ron for another great video. God bless you!
I like the new paint job on those blocks!
Great job as well (as always)!
Nice job Ron
That good thinking and work.
Ron hope you and the Family are well
Slow and easy win the race. The thoughts of the tires shifting and the water sloshing. Not good. Glad the job is completed and everyone is safe.
Tank for your fine hard jobs
Great job Mr Pratt great video
Nicely done!
Did you end up figuring out how much weight was in the nose of that?
his winches tell him the loads, he just didn't bother mentioning it if he looked
a very interesting issue for sure, glad you did it safely as always !!
Great job Ron
enjoyed seeing the original intro; always gives me chills. glad there weren't any power lines, though i found myself looking for them. Stay safe.
way to go Ron, great job in tricky situations!
